Several months ago, in a department store, I walked around the cosmetics department and an attractive woman of about 40 was there, at the counter, with her son of about 12.

The woman was chatting to the sales woman and trying make-up on while her son was there.

Mother used to involve me in make-up conversations, but I wish she'd also introduced me to the make-up counters too.

Anyone dragged around the make-up counters?

My wife and daughters all got to have cosmetic make-overs last weekend. They had a blast and really came out loking like knock outs. Me I just got to walk around town with the little boys. Glad they had fun.

Perhaps a little off the threads topic but around Christmas a year or so ago I came down the escalator ringht into the makeup session of a department store. The girls were standing around chatting and one very outgoing one asked me "can I do a make-over for you" I smiled then her damn phone rang I will never know but I was in the mood to let her even though I was drab. One can only speculate how fun it might have been.

Hugs, Kath

When you walk into Boots there the girls working there have drop dead stunning make up, and look fantastic, but the down side is you feel utterly inadequate in comparison to them, I cancel the feeling out by knowing excatly what I need and be very systematic and confident at the checkout(then shrink into a heap outside!) hmmm seeing things in public and wishing it happened to you......erm........Spending a day going into all the fantastic shops with a group of female friends, trying on lots of clothes having loads of laughs, and getting home on adrenalin getting bathed made up, and wearing what I bought out on the town to torment the guys! bliss!
