View Full Version : Where do you hide your clothes?
Paige.

I'm curious. If your SO doesn't know you dress, where do you keep your clothes, make-up, and accessories so that she won't find them? I was getting dressed this morning and looked at the bottles and tubes all over the counter and wondered how closeted CD's manage without getting caught. It's something I take for granted, that I don't have to be meticulous and clean up after myself every day. Surely she would find them if they are kept in the house.

I use to hide mine in my gun cabinet
That's the best hiding place I've ever heard of. Keep all the dangerous stuff together, huh?
I generally always wanted to get caught. So I'd start with something good - like the hollow under the sofa in the guest bedroom - but I would gradually let things get into the backs of my drawers so my SO could find them just by folding the laundry. Now, I just hang them in the closet - there's no one to hide from.

Yeah she knew I had them but I didn't want her to point it out to anyone else and she hated guns besides I was able to lock it up tight.

I don't have to hide anything unless someone is coming over. I have my dresses in my closet with my drab, my lingerie in with my whitey tighties, my wigs are on stands on the dresser and the makeup is on the counter in the bathroom. Living alone does have certain advantages...

There are places I know she'll never go. Especially when I mention "the size of the spider I just killed in the (insert hiding spot)!"

I don't hide them from her any more, just make sure that she does not catch me at it, or leave things out by mistake. I now have 2 large drawers in a chest full of slips, panties, stockings, nighties......

Ha, I was gunna try and find a hiding spot, but then I just thought 'bugger it!', and told my fiance I was dedicating my bottom draw to crossdressing clothes/makeup and if she wanted to avoid it not to go into that draw. Although I have nail polish lying around EVERYWHERE. But now the draw is nearly full...

I used to travel for business but i don't anymore, i have three pieces of luggage that i keep everything in, locked of course in the spare bedroom, I also have two cases in the basement with shoes and boots, my wife is not much of a housekeeper and she is not very curious about things. This has allowed be to accumulate quite a bit....but i do still worry that she will go on a cleaning rampage some day....there's always a first time for everything you know.

It is rather hard to 'hide' half a walk-in robe full of clothes my wife doesn't wear.

In the start, I'd hide it in a drawer under a bunch of junk. Then I pushed it a bit and hid some in my sock drawer under my socks & such. Then under the bed, and now, I have a drawer of stuff, and a box in the closet. I don't have an SO, but I still live with my parents, who know.
However in a few weeks I am moving, and I am trying to figure out how to hide it all without anyone accidentally discovering it during the move.

No. I wear them out in the world, so everyone can see.

Not really hidden that well. Most of it fills up one chest of drawers and the heels and jackets etc are in a wardrobe. I got sick of burying them in a bag under stuff. Move on time. If i was living with SO at the mo it wouldnt be a problem as she knows.

She knows Paige. But outta respect for her, I keep it out of sight. I have five wardrobe bags in my closet. Two large gym bags and one medium sized plastic tub, with all my makeup, purses, shoes and wigs. My lingerie is in two of my dresser drawers. I forgot that I left a dressing gown, and a top, hanging up in the laundry room form last Sunday. I couldn't understand why she was so quiet Monday night. Not like her. Then I realized. Dumb me. :doh:Really bugs her on a personal level.

I found it easier to just come clean with the SO years ago, now it is hidden in plain site, 2 drawers in my chest of drawers, 3/4ths of my closet, a chest in the hall closet and the hall closet. Hard to hide all that. no kids at home so only guest that shouuld never be in my closets anyway.

She knows, but doesn't want to see it.As I accumulate more and more stuff, it's getting harder to keep it out of sight! What started out as "just this box" has grown to 1/2 dozen locations, scattered all over the house, but the main stash is in the garage,up in the rafters.

In the past I had all kinds of creative hiding spots. The best spot was with our halloween stuff in plain sight and a good excuse...oh I had a costume idea that didn't work out. ;-) Now I just keep it in a big storage bin in the garage, too easy to discover, but I figure my SO partly knows as we have done halloween enfem many times, so if discovered it could be an easy way to say I've been collecting stuff to do the ultimate adventure...maybe I'm chicken, but the time is never right to directly tell her. Besides, I don't ask too much about the special purchases she made that make her feel 'feminine'. ...

Years ago I was married and she did did not approve. I kept all of my things in boxes marked 'car parts' in the garage. Now that I am single and live alone they are in my bedroom where they should be. I have two large closets full of clothes. Also two seperate wardrobes full, two dressers full, and special shelves built for my shoes, boots and wigs on foam head forms. No one but myself and my cd friends ever go in my bedroom. I could never go back to hiding my femme things. I love having the freedom to keep my clothes where they should be, in my bedroom and not hidden away someplace.

Some 20+ years ago when we moved into a new house, I made some built-in wardrobes with a hidden compartment and kept my things there, but after I came-out to my wife, they moved into a box in the wardrobe in full sight. She doesn't want anything to do with my dressing and when we moved recently she packed all the boxes except that one, and took all my drab clothes off the rail except 2 dresses I have hung up! I had to pack those myself!
Maybe one day she'll change but I'm not holding my breath and at least I'm better off than some!

Just before I made a start to have my own, I told my wife. Slow start with a few bits and pieces, now I hide in the top left drawer, third large drawer down, bottom drawer, hanging up, on top shelf, mixed in with men's shoes....Running out of places now!!! Have to rent space on her side and hide it there!!!:)

My wife knows, and is pretty ok with it. However we have curious kids. So I keep everything in my weight room in a trunk when it is not being used. I always laugh when I am being uber-male and doing dead lifts, and then look over and see a trunk that has heels and corsets and stockings in it.

I'm out with my SO now...but when I was a teen I remember my first hiding place. I had all of my things stuffed into an old denim US Postal mail bag (the size of a large duffel). I'd put some old guy things on top to disguise it in case it was opened by my mom, then threw it into a dark deep corner of my closet with a few other things piled on top.
It was a bit too far away for 'easy access', so the things I used a LOT (a nightgown, skirt, tights and a few pairs of panties) were folded and hidden amongst my regular clothes in my dresser.
I got really daring about it after a while and would just fold my nightgown and put it under my pillow during the day, which was pretty stupid since my mother would change the sheets on my bed once in a while, but I never got caught that way.
I got caught a few different times. Once my mom found the duffel full of girl's clothes under my bed where I had tucked it instead of putting it back in the closet one day. She asked me about it and I just told her that it must have belonged to one of my sisters. I had found it in my room (which also contained the entry to the attic) where 'they must have left it, being too lazy to bring it up the stairs to the attic' so I'd just kicked it under the bed. I THINK she believed me. :)
The only other time I got caught was out of laziness. I'd left a slip I'd been wearing out and it had gotten mixed in with other dirty laudry in my room (typical teenager... LOTS of dirty laundry laying around). My mom had picked it all up one day and put it all through the wash INCLUDING the slip.
Nothing was ever said about it, but when the pile of whites was returned to my room... the white half-slip was folded nicely and included in the stack of underwear and t-shirts.
Now, thank goodness, I have the luxury of being 'out' so my things have their own closed and three full drawers in a dresser. Life is good :)

I use to open up ceiling tiles and hide some of my clothes in the ceiling, in small plastic bags. Some clothes, I would hang inside of a sweatshirt in the closet. I also have a back pack I hang on a hanger with a heavy jacket over it. Sometimes I would also hide pairs of panties in pockets of jeans hanging in my closet. Just a few sneaky ways to have access to all my clothes.

Well Paige, I hide mine in plain sight now that I'm an empty nester. My bedroom closet is filled with my femme clothes and I bought an extra dresser for my lingerie and foldables. My SO knows I dress and is also a member of this forum so I never have to hide anything again.
I was married twice to disapproving women and during both marriages I hid everything feminine I owned. My favorite hiding place was my basement workshop. It was always messy and full of machinery, so for me it was a perfect place to hide everything. I also never worried about makeup or accessories because I was alone in the basement and only dressing for myself.
Now that I have come out, I no longer need to hide my clothes, makeup, or accessories. I hated being deceitful and now can enjoy dressing without fear of being caught.

hi everyone
well i grew up with 5 sisters so i didnt have to really hide. just snatch and grab lol. but when i would go see my mom i would start bringing more and more stuff. since she would go to work and leave me alone. i put them in papaer bags and hide them in the basement. and also if i wanted to were whatever it may be it would put it under my bed. then when i moved in with my girlfriend i came out to her in the first month we dated and she said she could handel it. but i still had to keep it in my duffel bag. but know like everyone else i have grown and so have my outfitts. so i keep them in a suitcase and duffelbags and panties in my underwear draw. my wife former girlfriend still cant understand but she deal (porely) with it.

Hi Paige.
Here's where I hid my stuff throuout my time.
High School: Wrapped tightly up in about 4 grogery bags in a box of other junk in my closet. The box that had my stuff in it was either labeled very descreetly 7 9 18 12, or LRIG. Both meaning girl by position of letter in alphabet, or girl spelled backwards.
Military: In a laundry bag with other clothes in my wall locker
Living with roomates: In a locked chest.
Living With Girlfriend: Same place as abobe until I told her about 4 months after dating. THen I didn't have to hide anything. If anyone asked, I passed it off as hers.
Now Living Alone: I don't hide my stuff unless I have friends visit. THen I hade everything in plane view. underneath the sink where only a wall of lightbulbs hides the stuff, in boxes or duffel bags in my closet, or in my outside storage area. Also I have one of those rubbermaid portable closets in my room. I use towels to cover up the parts u can see through and then use key rings to lock the zippers together. I also don't leave anyone here alone. Oh year. I also have clothes in my dresser.

I have a lot of workout clothes and workout bags...so it just blends in...in a bag indistinguishable from the others.
I have to admit, as I get further and further along, it is getting harder and harder to hide. In fact, it is quite exhausting making sure everything is cleaned up. This secrecy won't last much longer because it is so much work!!

I posted above about where I hid my clothes when younger, but don't have to hide anything anymore since my SO is accepting... but I DO still find myself hiding things once in a while.
What happens is that I will go out and 'splurge' on a few dresses, some nice shoes, or I'll happen to find a sale on bras so will HAVE to buy a few. My wife accepts my dressing, but I feel a bit guilty when I get caught up in a shopping spree and spend a big chunk of $$ on such things.
So, when I get home with lots of new stuff, it usually gets put right into the closet and I just hope she won't notice the additions (things like bras, tights and panties she certainly won't notice, since I have so many different ones now who could keep track?)
But a dress, skirt, nightgown, jewelry or new blouse is harder to miss. At SOME point, I have to wear it around her for the first time and she'll notice that I have something new.
She has never had a bad reaction. The guilt on my end isn't about dressing or the clothes, it is just about dropping that much money on clothes that I really can't justify spending money on since I have closets full already!

I used to rent a storage locker, I have a lot of other things besides girlie stuff that I didn't have room for at home. But a few years ago my tenants moved out of an investment property that I own, so I closed out the storage locker and moved everything to the investment property. Now I have a home to go to that can I dress anytime I want.

As a widower living alone, I don't hide anything. The closet here in my computer room is jammed full of Stpephanie's things, and she has stuff in the two other bedroom closets also. The six drawer dresser in the master bedroom is full of lingerie, and the storage racks in that closet also have a lot of stuff. Hey, I know it is too much, but I cannot pass up a sale!!
The problem that is coming up is because I am having shoulder replacement surgery in early October. My daughter(who does know about my CD activites but does not want to see my clothes) and my sister-in-law ( who does not know about me) will both be staying at my house for at least a week after I leave the hospital. That means that I have to pack up and hide away every trace of Stephanie.:thumbsdn::thumbsdn: Then they will leave and I have to do the reverse!! But I am a committed (or maybe I should be!) CD'er, so I will do what must be done. Anyone want to help?
BTW, I haven't posted anything for over a week, as I was in the hospital having a Pacemaker installed. Very sudden problem, and if it weren't for my darling daughter (an RN) I probably would be dead! Enjoy your lives! I know I do!!!

I hide mine in a duffel bag hidden in a corner of the garage. Sigh.
I did have a locker for a year at a transfriendly business called Carla's in San Jose, CA where I was able to properly store my precious items but I ended up only managing to get out there twice in a year. With the money I spent per month, I could've just bought a new outfit each month.

What a lot of different and interesting places for you girls to keep your secrets. Thank you all for responding and revealing yourselves. Floor boards, duffle bags, rafters, gym bags, ceiling tiles, gun cabinets/room, barrels, suitcases, musical intr. cases, and more. Wow. Someone told me they hid their "stuff' behind the air filter in the central A/C return ducts.
Thank you all for letting me in on another of your secrets. It would seem that your clothes should look wrinkled and frumpy after being "manhandled" but they don't. Thanks for sharing.

the funny thing about hiding things is that after several years of marriage I realized she never put away my guy stuff after doing the laundry. she just piled it up for me to put away. so, i feel free to keep my femme stuff anywhere i like, she isn't going to bother them.

I'm still living with my parents at the moment but right now I just hide my stuff underneath regular clothes in my dresser. No one goes into my room except for me so there's no risk really. Before I moved five years ago I used to do the same thing but was caught a couple of times. Luckily my parents don't think that I do this anymore.

My wife knows but does not approve. I used to keep things in plastic bins and in a gun safe but I have accumulated too much and worry about my teenagers finding out. To solve this I recently built a 2 ft wide, 4 ft tall, 6 ft long wardrobe with locking doors and top that allows me to keep things protected and safe. It is on casters so I can easily pull it out and slide it away. I keep it in the basement amongst "the rubble: so it is inconspicuous. My wife knows what it is but I made it out of the concern she expressed for the kids finding things. It is working well

Before we were married I "hid" kept most of my things in my drawers with my masculine clothes. That is how she found out when helping me one weekend doing my laundry and putting it away when I was at work. She had to open the drawer to find them. I still keep my keep my things some mixed in drawers, wardrobe, and closet with male items. And other items just in separate drawers or locations near my male clothes. You could say hidden in plain sight. Only a few items separate and up on the top shelf in boxes like wigs, breast forms, corsets and some other miscellaneous things and extras.

they are all in my regular drawers and closets (yes I have two). I live alone, so it is not an issue. Soon I will have a person renting a room. They are just going to have to deal with it.... which is a question for another thread!

I used to put my lingerie in lingerie gift boxes, jewelry in small boxes, and my heels in the boxes they came in and hid them above the dropped ceiling in the basement. Since the laundry room didn't have a dropped ceiling I could get access using a small step ladder and place my things between the floor joists. My dresses, skirts, blouses, wigs and makeup wear neatly packed in larger boxes and kept behind the furnace. A place my wife had no reason to go near nor did she want to go near there.
I now live on my own so I can hang my dresses, skirts and blouses in the closet and I have a dresser for my male clothes and a chest for my lingerie, jewelry, belts and breast forms. I now have two 3/4 length coats, my heels are on the floor in the closet, and I have a large makeup bag as well as a small one that I also keep in the closet. My purse is there too. Two of my wigs I hang on the headboard of my bed and the other ones are in a box with other clothes I rarely wear or don't fit.

Because I'm not out to my wife or family I have to hide everything. I hide my Joanne things in plain sight. We have a stack of boxes of books and work related stuff in the garage and one of them is completely packed with my girl stuff. I only keep what fits in the box so I'm constantly getting rid of old stuff when I buy new things. Someday someone will open the box and I'll probably get found out. But I've purged many times over the years and I'm not going to go through that again. I'd love to be open about this side of me but I can't take the risk-

When I used to hide my stuff, what little I had back then, it was in this box that a torque converter came in. It was on the high shelf of the closet along with other boxes of junk.
Now since my wife knows and has for some years, I don't hide it but I do keep it put away nicely in the closet. I don't have like heels laying around all over the place.
Some of my makeup I still hide cause she likes to "borrow" it.

I rent a tote at a local transformation shop to store my girl stuff. They have a great room to change into, and out of, girl mode. They also have lots of new and used shoes and clothes to borrow and purchase, a make-up table, space to just hang out. I have purchased lots of stuff, including boobs, right there. I rent a storage space in a place close to my office and to the airport. I have access with my code 24 hours, and every time I travel (Which is often, at least three four times a month) I go and pick them up from there.
It is cheap (At least much cheaper than buying clothes every time I travel), and I have access to my stuff at all moments.
It is the best investment I have made...

Fortunately we have two bedrooms more than we need so Carla has a closet and dresser in the second guest bedroom. Works out great until Christmas when we have a full house and we use all the space we have. For a week in December all my outfits and makeup are packed up in boxes in the garage. But 51 weeks out of the year it’s all in (and on) the dresser or in the closet in “her” room.

I've been doing this for 40 years and I've determined that there's really no 100% safe place but... I have my own closet and I still fold them up in other clothes like sweat shirts etc. I have soooo much make up that I just have to stuff it behind other folded clothes in a make up case. My blouses and skirts are on hangers under suits and coats. The art of hiding it all I guess is part of the fun but it's all close at hand when I need it to be my real self. Marla XX

don't hide it now as wife knows but won't have it in the house (sigh)
so I have a nearby friend who has lent me half of the spare room and I also keep a bag with all my most wearable items, makeup, shoes etc in the boot of the car. I dress at my friends too.
Complicated - yes - but it keeps the peace

Whne I was a teenager at home, I would steal a nightgown or a couple of pairs of panties from my mother's drawer and hide them between the mattress and springs of the bed. Once, I ad some of her panties in my sock drawer. She must have found them because she took them out and put them in her own drawer.
After i gat married, for the longest, I would wear the wife's things when she wasn't at home, so I just put everything back where it came from. For a while, I would keep one of her bras in an end table behind some books, but she found it one day.
Now, I hide my own bra and "girls" in a small box in the laundry room on the bottom shelf behind a bag f epsom salt. I get up early every morning before the rest of the family and most of the time wear them before anyone gets up. Hve been busted on a couple of occasions by the wife. She knows it is there, but doesn't say anything or wants anything to do with it.
I have about 8-9 pairs of panties that I use to hide in the box with the bra, but within the last year, they are in my make underwear drawer. When the wife does the laundry, she always places all the male unerwear on top of the panties. If I wear any of the panties and put them in the dirty clothes basket, she pulls everything else out to wash, but leaves my panties in the dirty clothes basket.
As far as my other things, 2 dresses, pantyhose, 1 skirt, 4 tops, and wig, I did keep them in a gym bag at the back of our shared closet on my side for a while, but have recently put them in plastic bags and paper grocery sack and put them in the shed that is full of lawn equipment, golf clubs, etc. But today, while at home for lunch, I moved the stash intomy oldest sons closet. He is away at college. After tomorrow ( my day off of work and day to dress), eveything will go back out into the shed until the next dress-up day.

Paige that is a good question, I used to have all in a old carry on luggage with some old business paper work covering my clothes, now I have a Big Samsonite full of all my clothes, make up and shoes. I hate to have every thing pressed in there, it is all wrinkled. I keep it in a small warehouse in my office.
Few Years ago I had every thing in a Back pack and someone broke in my office at night, so he found the back pack and threw every thing on the floor to fill it with the valuables that he took away. Next morning I got at my business and found all the mess, some undies, bras and a pair of cheap silicon breasts. I had to do some explaining to a couple of employees that arrived there before I did... it was awful, I think I was red in color and very nervous.... now I laugh about it.

I used to hide my clothes in bags and kept them in the trunk of my car.
I didn't care for going outside late at night though when I had the urge to dress.
So now I keep my clothes in my closet with half the closet devoted to my femme clothes and the other half my drab/work suits.
I am finding the ratio of girl clothes to guy clothes is increasing!

I started collecting old telephones about the same time I discoved the joys of wearing panties then bras so I would hide My things in old phones of course this was not hiding from a s.o. I was hiding it from My brothers and mother. when I meet Dawn, My wife, I kept My stuff in a bag with My tools one day She found it looking for a screewdriver and I told Her it was an ex gf's now She knows about Raven so I just keep lingerie in Raven's dresser(I have a dresser just for Me) and clothes hang in closet(I have so many clothes now it is pushing Me out of the closet lol)

When I was a teenager, I hid the few clothes I had in the wall of my bedroom closet. I had a small hole covered with a poster and the clothes were down in between the sheetrock. I later hid some in a grainery's wall.
When I got married (she knows) it advanced into a duffel bag high up in the master bedroom closet.
Now I don't hide them except when my kid comes home or someone is watching my dogs/house while we are gone. Then the shoes and bras go up into the attic space in boxes marked EBAY. The other clothes can pretty much remain where they are because my wife and I are close to the same size.

Apparently, my good makeup is hidden in my 17yo daughter's makeup bag, so I found out this morning when she left her makeup bag out. When I called her on it she said I could have it back if I wanted. I left it with her. It works better on her.
In plain sight.

So for a lot of us here we are in the closet whilst our clothes are out, albeit in a variety of different hiding places. Now my clothes are in the closet whilst I'm on my way out of it!
I just love this notion that we swap closet space with our clothes when we finally tell people who we are - it has a curious symmetry about it.

I am one of the luck ones in that I live alone so I don`t have to hide anything , it is put away in my closet and dressers though , I am kind of a clean freak so nothing get left laying around .
I am unlucky in that I don`t have a SO to share my life with , and realize that I might have to hide my feminine clothes if I don't find the wright person , and I am working on that .

I "hide" my stuff in a spare bedroom in the chest the first two draws have my nylons and pantyhose and the second draw has my panties and bras. Then in the closet on one side are my men's suits and the other side has my girl clothes. Hope they don't get together and make any baby clothes....My make up is on my side of the bathroom sink area...some of it is out and some of the stuff is under the sink in cases. Wife knows and is OK with all of this plus she knows where my stuff is incase she needs to use it..make up that, is since we're not the same size...

I hide them in the loft and bring them down when nobody is in the house. If my wife found them I think she wold leave me.

When I first got married, I tried to hide my CDing and my women's clothes from my wife. At that time, all I had was a couple bras and panties, some pantyhose, and a slip. I kept them under some sweaters in my dresser. Of course, she found them right after we moved into our house. After months of tears, wailing, and gnashing of teeth (both of us) she came to accept it.
Now, I don't hide my clothes from her; They are in a suit case and in a locked file cabinet in my home office. She knows exactly where they are. I do try to keep them hidden from my daughter, though.

no need to hide things NOW as wife knows all about my CDing.
When I was a youth however... my hiding skills were not the greatest, at first I just borrowed (from sister and mothers dressers) and put back (by way of the laundry basket)when I was done, then got brave and took stuff to keep which I stashed conveniently in my own dresser drawer underneath all my other stuff. It was almost immediately found by 'mom' and taken away. As I got older, I just borrowed and returned, or just left it in the room after I wore it. (Usually stripped down and went to their rooms and wore their stuff there and stripped before leaving). Then when I came out to Mom, she approved and gave permission so no need to hide anymore and haven't bothered hiding it since. ;)

Hi Paige! For years, I hid stuff in the attic in strategic places that only I would dare to try and get to......it required walking over the up-ends of 2 x 12 boards that framed the ceiling and supported the roof. Subsequently, I stepped through the ceiling a couple of times so I had some fast-stepping explaining to do. I also had a rental space at a mini-storage for awhile as my collection grew. I even had a post office box near work where I could pick up things I had ordered or won off of Ebay. All of that sneaking around, lying, secrets and making up stories blew up in my face when my wife found out. What a huge waste of time, effort, energy and money because none of it prevented the inevitable. After counseling saved our marriage, I now keep stuff in my closet and in the attic but out of reach and away from our daughter. (The attic being kinda scary to her keeps her out of there for now at least.) LOL
Love and hugs,
Lisa

I keep everything under lock and key in a steel case. If a girlfriend or family member asks, I say that it contains archived research paperwork, which at one point it did. We all have secrets, and as far as secrets go, this one is not as serious as many others I've heard about.

Does hiding from my parents count? My girlfriend doesn't care and knows I'm transgendered, and actually went into the relationship aware of it.
Am I too young for this forum? XD Not saying y'all are old... just married and on your own.
I used to "borrow" my sister's clothes and stick it under my bed... but one day my mom found the clothes and that was no fun to say the least. Now all I have is a pair of girl's pants and a purse. I don't really have to hide the pants, as they look like my regular pants from a distance. But my purse, well it's behind my open closet door which really probably isn't a good hiding place... but if they find it I'll say "It's for my girlfriend!"

I don't have any fem clothes of my own except a few 100% Pure Silk panties and tangas. These I keep concealed at the bottom of my pile of my male underwear or sometimes in my business portfolio that I keep locked. Because they are pure silk, after use, I handwash the panties and tangas while in the bathroom for shower and hang them for drying in a safe place in my study. It has never happened so far that my wife has found them.

I have a small duffle bag in my car that is to her designated as work stuff since I travel a great deal for work. There is where shoes and other things live. She is also not so curious that she will go through the bag. I keep panties, stockings, hose, bras, and other things mixed in with my drab stuff. I do the laundry in our house so I am able to not worry about her seeing what I have worn that week that needs to be washed. I get home before she does, so bras, and hosiery that I won't dry in the dryer are put away before she gets home.
As I think of this it would be far easier to just let her know and not hide it anymore. I just feel that we have so many other marital problems right now to work on that this would be not be the time to approach it. I also have a teenager at home, so things need to be kept hidden.
It is not always easy 2b.Lauren!

I do not need to hide my clothes from my SO. I wear her clothes whenever I feel like it, and she wears mine (allthough she is not a cross dresser herself. Most of my shirts are band shirts, and she occasionally wears a pair of my boxers to bed.)
When I lived with my parents though, I had to try many different things. At first, I just kept them (along with some other stuff) under my bed. My mom found those, was very disappointed, but because of the other stuff she found, a couple decks of Tarot cards and a small bag of marijuana (which I think my mom smoked), she didn't even mention the few clothes I had. Then I moved everything under my bed, which was eventually discovered. The next time I put them in a box, and burried them with dozens of magazines. That stash was never found, but I ended up throwing all my clothes and makeup away when I moved in with my girlfriend.

What I find a little sad for many is the stress that apparently surrounds you when you do dress. I wish you could all be relaxed and be able to take your time without worrying about leaving your cosmetics out or finding changes of clothes easily.

Good question Paige. At first I hid my clothes in the closet behind my suits :) As items multiplied I had to find a better place. I went ahead and rented a U-Haul storage room to stash my stuff there.

Right now, I hide them in the only 2 places that I POSSIBLY can: under the covers of my bed, and in a very shallow lockable drawer. That really limits the size of my wardrobe (not even any real clothing yet, just panties and bras), and can get wrinkly. Having a roommate and a tiny dorm room makes it tough! Although I will admit that I think I have a couple of things under the driver seat of my car  I don't use those anyway.
When I'm back home, I have my own room with an empty dresser, that's where stuff goes when I'm back home or when I "borrow" something from my mom or sister (wish their clothes fit me better). I'm hoping to tell my fiancee soon, and hopefully she'll be amazing like so many SO's here are and accept it like I think she will, and I won't have to hide anymore once we get married. That's pretty much my #1 wish as it relates to CDing.

Well at first I did not have to........because they were her cloths and her shoes, I just had to hide my 1 wig and make up so it was easy.
But as time pass I started to by some of my own cloths not much but they were still easy to hide but I still wore her shoes...........and her cloths.
One day she said that it looks like some one has been wearing her shoes and some of her cloths because they smell like smoke...........(the club) and of course I play the dummy roll.........what do you mean.
Will I know that I had to get my own cloths and shoes and be for I know it I was trying to hide a wardrobe.......and it was not easy, at first she found my only wig still in the bag I said it was for a Halloween party I got by that.
I was hiding my cloths in the garage along with my shoes and make up and it was very very hard, I had to move the around so she would not find them but I had just to many cloths I know that I was going to get caught soon................and I did
When she started to find some of my cloths I would say that it was hers
bad move on my part because she did not buy that at all she said that I have been acting funny for some time and was I having a affair I said no but she was not buying that so I told her...........she was relieve that I was not having a affair.

When I was young I use to hide panties in my video game cases(the really old ones i didn't play at the bottom of my stack in my wardrobe) since i was the only one that gamed in my family it was a perfect spot and mom never ever checked there for anything.

I never had to hide my stuff.
I live by myself, or sometimes my other girl friends stay at my house for days or weeks, and they're all TS or FemmeQueens or Drag Queens, or CD's, so I have nothing to hide.
I leave my clothes all over the floor or in the dresser drawers, my cosmetics in the bathroom and all my femme lotion, perfume, body sprays and stuff.
My wigs are displayed on heads in the living room.
And my jewelry is not hidden either.
Nothing to hide! He he I wish all yall was so lucky to have that situation too, because it's OKAY to be YOU, babies!

Well my SO knows about my dressing so my lingerie is either hanging up or in drawers. my dresses too. but she doesn't know of my make up and wig ( I think, LOL) I keep them on the closet shelf, tucked back so she can't see.
99% of the things on the closet shelves are mine so she has no need to dig into it.

A gun safe is the best location... it's the size of a closet.

I envy everyone who doesn't have to hid things ... unfortunately, I do.
So .. the answer to the question Paige, is ... 2 places ... a carry-on suitcase in the trunk of my car (my SO has her own car) and a locker at the CD club.
I use the trunk for the casual stuff I need when I'm working at home en femme or when an opportunity arises for some fun. And, the CD club has the more serious stash that I need if I'm going the whole nine yards and plan to meet people or go out. I only do that three or four times a month.
It meets my needs just fine.
The locker is new .. I've used my car for years. In the past, I've used bookcases (I have a lot of them in my den and there is lots of room on the shelves behind the books).
Hugs:)

Years ago I had a stash of make up and panties stocked away in a shoe box in my closet. Unfortunately, I havent owned anything else in a few years, but do think about it daily.

I don't hide my clothes as my fiance supports me. I have my clothes in my dresser and hanging in my closet. When I was younger in my parents house I would hide them in a Chicago Bears laundry bag in the corner of my room behind the bed with a bunch of stuffed animals sitting on top :)

I keep mine in my old army footlocker. It did time with me in Iraq and now it's a great hiding place. The best thing is I keep it in my regular walkin closet so I always have easy access.
Although if my wife did ever find it I would have some hard explaining to do. :)

Until I moved out of my parent's house, I just put them into the old clothes bags in the attic (my mom was a pack rat and never threw away anything); I just moved my stuff into the bottom of the bag, and moved that particular bag behind some boxes in case she ever did decide to give it all away. When I was a single young man, I kept everything in a suitcase, locked, in a storage area. I figured if anyone asked, I could just say that my sister borrowed the luggage and forgot to remove her stuff from her last vacation (made real because I had a nice set of Samsonite luggage which I really did lend out). When I was married, for the first five years I had purged and had nothing to hide. By the time I did, we had a house, and I kept my girl things hidden in the suspended ceiling of the basement. For the past ten years I have lived alone, and keep my girl things mixed up with my guy things. My sister is nearly as tall as I am, so if anyone ever visited and wondered why there are girl clothes in my closet, I could use that excuse. Not that it would matter, I get few visitors.

I keep my basic wardrobe, under lock&key,in my private home office, but I also have a key
to my mothers house, and when she leaves in the morning,I go over &care for the animals, and spend several hours,in her closet, dressing in her wardrobe, especially all of her good wardrobe-all of her short mini skirts, her dress slacks, shoes, tops, blouses,
skirtsuits&good pantsuits.I usually take a fresh pkg of pantyhose out of her drawer&later
replace it&spend hours, dressed in her outfits

I don't hide my clothes anywhere I hang them up in the wardrobe or put them in drawers like any other woman. "Hiding" took a hike along with his two good friends "Shame" and "Guilt"
a long time ago and they'll never be allowed back in my house again!

Had my stuff in a closet boxed on shelves but since moved it into a room with other drab stuff I'm sorting out, I'm at three boxes of stuff now since this past month (from one) so its now kinda out there if she looks hard enough.
I'm planning on telling her about it soon anyways, just waiting till the time is right.
I had to snicker the other day, I have more sexy lingerie outfits now than she does, and if she finds all my makeup she'll use it all and have it all over the place like hers:heehee:, I'm neat, she's not.

My partner never goes in the attic as you have to get the (too short) ladders then pull yourself up into there.
So thats where mine are. In a suitcase.

I fantasize about someday having all of my panties, slips, camisoles, bras and pantyhose in my regular in bureau. I would have all of my dresses, suits and shoes in the closet. I could choose my outfits in a civilized manner. Such fun that would be.
For now, however, it's the attic for me!
It is good to dream...

I use to keep mine in a duffle bag under a bunch of my old clothes. It was perfect until she decided to go through my closet. I honestly have not found a very good or safe place to hide things. Now that I am soon to be divorced and have my own place I still find myself hiding my things, silly it seems but still very much secretive about that side of me.

When I was young I used the underside of my box spring, the fabric thingy under there got pretty torn and hangy so I moved them. Into my pillowcase inside of my drumsets bass drum. The pillow got bigger and that was no longer acceptable, so I used a set of floor speakers. I would take the 12" woofers out and hide them in there. This worked great the majority of my childhood and after highschool until floor speakers were garage sale items and tiny Bose speakers were the things to have as 20year olds. Then I got lazy and turned to a duffel bag. It found it's way in the attic mostly but also, in the bottom of a car parts box and in the trunk of a car for a while until the convertable top leaked and everything got wet and mildewy. After a complete purge the duffle bag got replaced and in the house hiding spots were needed. This is when your girlfriend does a major house cleaning while your at work and you come home to feel a tremendous O-sH*TE violated feeling. Now years after this happened it is only still partially accepted. I have dedicated backs of drawers and under and between clothes in the closet safe areas ( out of site out of mind kinda ). I still find myself buying stuff and hiding it in fear of explaining and justifying it. How can one possibly get a Fredericks or Victorias Secret catalog and not pick out a thousand dollars of stuff in ten minutes that would look and feel fabulous.

I just bought panties for the first time, have an old duffle bag at the bottom of a closet that I'm starting with. I'm not sure how that will work, we'll see.

At work with me, in the closet that has a NO STORAGE sign on it. Prior to that I had my clothes at the way back of my closet, my bra's and such in an old suitcase or 2.

I put them in dresser drawers, closets, and sometimes I leave it on the floor.
Everybody knows so I have nothing to hide my transsexuality from.
