Well last week I wrote thread how I met the public for the first time by going through a drive thru and all went well. Tonight I decided to go out again and went to another drive through and got a small diet coke this time instead of the fries . After that I worked up some courage and drove to the hearby wallmrt to shop but when I walked up to the sliding door it was locked. They had closed ten minutes ago. Guess all the cars in the lot were employees. I didnt get detered howver , wanted to do something so I went to a tops, got out of the car and went in supermarket , big like wegmans . I just strolled for awhile then remembered I was almost out of concealer and went to the makeup area where I browsed for quite awhile, I finally decided on trueblend by covergirl ,left to the greeting card area and the magaines where I stopped to browse some of the mags. Ater I checked out and the assistant was polite and told me not to forget that I had earned gas points . they have a gas depot as well. I must passed 7 to 8 people in the store tonight. Some just smiled and said high and a few stopped in their tracks and stared. Im fairly sure that they all knew I was a guy. I had a great night.--wendy:)

Thanks Angie. It was a wonderful evening. I realize that for many girls on the forum this type of outing is often common but for me it wasnt. Going into that supermarket even though it was late and very few people there, was for me a major step. I realize that set backs are likely in my future but the happiness I felt while dressed to me out weighs this factor. Thanks again for the kind comment. --wendy

It is great Wendy that you had the confidence and were able to be out femme shopping.
Know the first time I went out i was nervous as a Scared Cat, but now that is all behind me.
I feel as comfortable if not more now, out as Denise, and it is just like I have been doing it all my life. I feel like the Girl I should have been born as

Thanks Denise, I was very scared, even sat in the car for awhile to gather my thoughts. I said to myself that I didnt look all that great that evening but I was going to shop and enjoy myself. The results were far greater than I had imagined.---wendy

Thanks again to all of you. I think I was most nervous when I took my concealer that I had picked out to the checkout. The cashier acted very professional and ended with "would you like the concealer in a bag or did you want to just put in your purse." I placed the concealer in purse and walked out to my car in amazement. Here I was definitely not passible and she nor her nearby co worker made any unusual behaviors.--wendy
