Yesterday, after dropping our son off at work, my wife picked me up from work. On the way home she said she wanted to stop and look for shorts. We ended up deciding we would try Dress Barn and see what they had.

We were had been looking thru the clearance racks and commenting about different tops when I heard the SA ask "are you ladies doing OK?" I told her we were and continued looking. We found a couple shorts and tops, including a really cute white gauze pesant top with red around the neck line. When I showed it to my wife she said to get it. I was apprehensive about it since, with a 16 y/o son at home, overly fem clothing for me is not allowed.

When we got home and I tried it on my wife told me it looked good on me and would look great with a skirt. Not wasting a minute, I grabbed one of my skirts from the closet and put it on. She didn't think that one looked right with it so I changed it for a longer denim skirt. She said that looked right.

Since our son wasn't home I just left the top and skirt on and started to do some things around the house when the doorbell rang. I walked to the kitchen and standing at the back door was our GG friend. I wasn't too concerned since she knows and has on a couple of occasions seen me in just my bra and panty but this is the first time in a skirt (humm. does that sound backwards?). Her only reaction was the quick eye roll but nothing was said about it. She stayed for coffee and I stayed in my skirt.

When it was time to leave to pick up my son my wife did ask if I was going to change out of the skirt first and reluctantly I did. Later that evening I again asked my wife why she let me get the top since I can't wear it now. She replied I needed something for when he leaves home. She then said something that reallys surprised me. She told me she thought I should have been born a woman.

I don't know where this will lead in a few years when our son leaves home but it sure felt great to spend a few hours in a skirt "with the girls".

Sound like things are doing good at home and with the neighbor hood, I'm sure the boy will come around as he ages.

Well, I don't know what the plans are for your son but quite soon you will have plenty of freedom.

I am so envious of people who have kids that DON'T live at home. I can't imagine the freedom, peace, and quiet.

So can't you wear the blouse when the kid is in school or at a friend's for the weekend?

MillieErin. when he's at school I'm at work and weekends are just a lost cause 99% of the time. My wife vascilates between doing things like this and then will turn around and complaining about about it. Since my normal attire is all fem (including a necessary bra) I try to not push things too far, unfortunately I do a lousy job of it.

She talks at times about when our son leaves home so will she but 10 minutes later it's a completely different story. Who knows what will happen in a few years when he's done with high school, only time will tell.
