I did it! I got my ears pierced today!

For those of you who have been following my story, you know this is a big deal for me. In fact, I've been beating myself up for a month for not getting it done on my July vacation.

No pictures as of yet. I'll be sure to post something in the "Out and About Forum" soon.

The funny part is, not only did I get my ears pierced, but I managed to--with a little coxing--get another T-girl friend to join me and get her hers done as well.

Both me and my friend got 3mm men's silver studs. Not much, but we all start somewhere. And I didn't talk her into it...I told her she was doing it with me, and even half paid for it. I'm sure you'll hear the whole story soon enough. It was pretty fun the way it turned out.

Either way, hooray for us! My ears are done. Another bridge crossed.

Had mine done two years ago next week. Can't believe it was that long ago! Really is great fun choosing your first proper earrings once you are ready, then building up a sweet collection. Became a minor hobby of mine for a while...

Had me left ear done years ago, I too just had my other this past Thursday. Dressed up yesterday, wore a pair of clips one below the new piercing, would not recommend That holding an ice pack to my lobe now.

Congrats. I have been debating getting mine pierced for awhile now too. As a birthday present to myself. But, I am not so sure I could wither the taunts and teasing from the people at work. They tend to be a bit brutal. Well I have a couple of days to think on it before I change my mind. Don't even know if I would do one or both ears.

This was actually the second ear, so I knew what to expect. It was strange. It didn't hurt much at all, but it did feel like getting "stapled". In fact, the gun sounded just like a stapler or a paper punch.

Still, glad it's done tho. :)

LOL!!! seriously I'm so envious of you having that done....I wish I could so I could get whatever earring I wanted but I can't swing having pieced ears for work and the wife isn't all that OK with it either...so it's clip ons for me or nothing and nothing isn't an option for this girl!!!! Some day maybe...oh I wish I was you.

Caroline, Hooray for you girl. Now you'll find many more earring styles that you could never wear before. I inherited a jewelry box full of pierced earrings when my wife passed away and now I can wear them all. Since I had mine pierced I wear a pair of aquamarine studs (my birthstone) all the time when I'm not wearing a pretty pair of dangle earrings. I'm sure you will be very happy now that your ears are pierced. :thumbsup:

Good job! I did my first ones about 25 years ago. I just took a stud pair and pushed them through! I did another set about 17 years ago. Same way!

I think you get double points for not just getting it done, but getting it done WHILE wearing a short skirt and looking fabulous. :D

Now you just have to wait that short amount of time before you can take the studs out and enjoy the feeling of long dangling earrings swinging back and forth as you walk :)

Great going Caroline! Another wise choice and the beginning of the adventure to finding fabulous earrings! Much larger selection of pierced over clips. Had mine done for quite some time and no one noticed or seemed to care - even in guy mode. Your pic of the event shows you are comfortable with the piercing! Remember to do the "daily cleaning routine" to prevent infection.
