Last night, three of my crossdressing friends and I ventured into San Francisco to enjoy the amazing female impersonators at AsiaSF. What a trip! We were all dressed to the nines, and we made quite an impression on the mostly straight audience composed largely of bachelorette parties...go figure! The food was fantastic, the drinks were very expensive, and the Tgirls were spectacular - after they served us as waitresses, they paraded on top of the bar in spectacular outfits, one girl named Amber had the most beautiful body I have ever seen...all in all, a memorable evening!

Asian SF is tourist destination. Seems to attract lots of bachelorette parties . So almost every one you see in there is straight . Well
unless you see me there :). I hope you enjoy the rest of you stay in SF

Cool! I always wanted to go to a drag show at least once in my life.

I used to go to the Baton in Chicago quite often, always had a great time there too, although it's not as good now as it was back in the '80's when it had a dance club attached to it next door, everyone would go there after the show lounge closed and party together.

Well to date myself I went to the Old Finocchios in the Castro(no longer open) back in the 70's. That was my first drag show.

I used to go to Finnocios regularly and loved to watch the ladies perform, but with them closing in 1994 or so I have been to Asia SF a couple of times as a tourist...

Some lovely ladies there...some well on their way to full transition. Must make another trip down there soon.

Your sis,

Tami

I used to love that place! it was fun watching the bus loads of tourist unload out front, not knowing just what to expect, but they always seemed to have a great time!
I used to go at least 2 or 3 times a year! was sorry to hear it had shut down.

A small point of fact - Finoccio's was in North Beach, not the Castro. You could tell fron the 30 ft. high Carol Doda sign on th old Condor (where topless began) at the corner of Broadway & Columbus.

Did you know back in the 70's old man Finoccio had the option to buy the building he was in. Decided not to

Marla and I haven't (yet) been to Asia SF but it is on our list of "must sees". It's interesting that you should mention a lot of bachelorette parties, as one time when I was in Blackpool, England I and a group of guy friends went to a place called "Funny Girls (http://www.funnygirlsshowbar.co.uk/)" we knew what sort of bar it was yet were were amazed to see very few guys there, the place was packed with GGs! ...we had a great night! :D

AsiaSF is not your mother's drag show, it's very edgy, check out Amber strutting her stuff:

Oh Amber, a Las Vegas beauty pageant winner. I think that maybe I am in love! Wonderful show and as Niya said, good food and just the right sized portions for us weight concious ladies.

All the girls there, wore LOTS of clothes! Even Carol Doda, ( the First Lady of artificially enhanced boobs), wasn't topless, when I visited back in the '60's!

Carol Doda went topless all right, her 44D breasts were a feature at the Condor Club...there's a cute story about the drag scene in San Francisco back in the day called The House of Fabulous, click here to read it (http://snurl.com/fabulous)
