Diamonds are gorgeous, but:

The diamond gem industry makes a killing with vastly inflated prices and unsafe mining conditions.


It takes either an experienced mineralogist or an optics lab to tell the difference between a real diamond and a simulated diamond.


There are also synthetic diamonds, which are real diamonds that happen grown in labs rather than formed geologically in the earth's crust.
These are much cheaper than mined diamonds, and also aren't mined under exploitative conditions.

So get yourself a quality cubic zirconium or synthetic diamond necklace, and spend the money saved on opera tickets and (even better) on a dress that will catch every eye in the house :)

When i get dolled up, in black dress and fake pearls, hose and heels, I also have fantasized about being taken to the symphony, or opera, though I don't understand a word they are singing, with their great sets of lungs! I have had personal ads, and mentioned in them, doing such, but, no offers. Sex is all they wanted. Oh goddess yes. Change the diamond jewelry to synthetic diamond, change the Rolls to a Honda, and change the stunning male date to a stunning GG date (said date also in a stunning evening gown), and I've had the pleasure of doing this a number of times :)

The SF Opera is a great place to go... you'll have no trouble blending in, and even when you're read as transgendered everyone will treat you courteously as a lady. SF is a tolerant city, and opera-goers are generally classy folks.

Plus, many operas have real gender-bending themes... women playing men abound. In Der Rosenkavalier, when you watch the Marschallin frolicking with her lover, half the fun is knowing that her "young man" is really a woman (it's a mezzo-soprano part). There's a lesbian subtext to some operas that my wife and I love. (Some other operas are downright misogynist, though... for woman-friendly operas, try Mozart, Handel, and Strauss for strong female roles and gender play).

So go for it! Tickets vary in price; balcony or dress circle seats are expensive, especially on a Friday or Saturday night, but the outer tier seats on a weekday or matinee should be around $50. You'll experience good music and meet nice people, all while decked out to the nines in a to-die-for dress. From your picture, I'm sure you'll have no trouble at all finding a handsome man to be your date. Put it all together, and it's a hard evening to beat!
