So I'm walking along the street in guy mode but underdressed in panties and hose, come up behind a woman and a girl no older than about ten, overtake them, seconds later voice behind me pipes up 'Mum......that man's wearing tights'! Heard the mother muttering about 'some men wear them' as I carried on.....

Kids always notice the little things. (Speaking from lots of experience.)

Seen by the eyes and out of the mouth of babes.

Hahahaha. I'd say if she could see them then anyone could..

Kids have a way of just knowing... I was on a trip enfemme down in West Virginia and pulled in to get gas.. And while standing there pumping fuel a small boy with a toy gun wandered up and just stood there staring at me... His dad was under their car trying to fix something.. I smiled at him and he continued to stand and stare.. I figured he was going to start yelling "Dad that guy is wearing a dress". Lol. But he didn't and finally wandered off..

I work with middle school aged kids and have to be very careful what I wear to work. Never let anything show. I can only imagine what might happen, so often I just dress in drab while at work

Just remenber that they are the next generation. What is "abnormal" to their mum and dad will be the normal for them. It has happened from one generation to the next.

The general tone of a young persons outlook on life starts with the parents.
This looks on the surface at least that this young one might be on the right road.

I thought the mother handled it reasonably well.

Yes, you couldn't really hope for a better response. She affirmed what the child was seeing but did not sound judgemental. A growth moment for that child.
