View Full Version : How long do you spend en-femme?

Just been reading the 'living full time' thread and got to thinking about how I feel.

Personally, I enjoy the times I dress. I feel sexy, relaxed, and sometimes - am I allowed to say this?... Horny as hell :). I guess thats a pretty typical scenario?

However, I really cant imagine ever wanting to go full time. I love being male. I love being a husband to my wife in a typical male role. But I also love being able to indulge my feminine side and feminine feelings. Judging by the 'living full time' thread, Icould I be in a minority in the CD community?

I spend maybe a couple of hours dressed at a time, sometimes only half an hour or so when I just get out clothes and look at them or enjoy how the textures feel compared to my male clothes. I am quite looking forward to spending a day or two dressed round the house when my wife is away with the kids, but I know after a while I'll be kind of glad to take off the stilettos, and get back into my oily jeans and trainers.

I am pondering now, what am I? How do I fit in to the great scheme of things? How do I compare to you?

Are there many others here who feel as I do?

Typically 12 hours up to 3 or 4 days depending on my schedule and travel arangements.... Mainly on business trips... If I'm not at the mine or at a meeting, then I'm enfemme.... including travel to and from wherever... Sometimes for shopping trips locally.....

I under dress almost 24/7 but I rarely get a chance to completely dress as I would like. Unlike you, I hate to go back to the oily jeans and worn out tennis shoes. Given the chance, I would like to at least try being a female full time.

I underdress most days, god i hate boxers. But as for dressing I only dress twice to three nights I week.

I enjoy doing "manly" stuff, getting dirty while working on the house or the car.

Not as much as I would like.Im underdressing as much as is comfortable and for the first time last week I was totally underdressed at work including bra after returning from a pedicure and upper leg wax.I am waxed on back and upper legs but not lower legs.I have shaved them before but wife not keen so during summer its upper legs only for me.Sigh!
Anyway when winter arrives Im going to have total leg wax and enjoy.
I hardly have any opportunity to fully dress but when I do I love it.Im having a dress made soon and am looking forward to the fitting. This is a new experience and Im nearly beside myself with anticipation.Wife knows about my CDing but does not want to be part of it or see me dressed. So Im closeted really but love having this site to come to and talk to others with silmilar issues.

Enjoy

I underdress all the time but I usually spend about 6-8 hours a day fully dressed.

I underdress full time.

In the summer i dont get much Denise time, due to working 7 days a week, but in the winter i am fully femme about 4 to 5 days a week.

The only exception is when i am on Vacation for a month, in the fall and spring, then I am fully Femme 24/7

I like to have at least a few hours as Tina. Shorter stints are just hard unless I'm leaving my nails clear. I guess I really like painted nails enough to try to arrange it to have 6 hours at a block if I can. Work and life do get in the way, but once the nail polish comes out the transition starts!

Lets put it this way, I DON'T own any boy under garments and I sleep in night gowns. I don't own any boy jeans and I HATE working on the car. I don't like to get dirty. I have the work uniforms which are provided by my employer and I have maybe 4 pair of boy shoes and maybe a dozen boy shirts. I'm going to school and I dress down for that and my total girl time is Sundays, at this time. I go to church, out to eat, shop or whatever I want to do. When time permits I get all dolled up every chance I get. I'm planning to get a job where I can go as ME, thats why the school part. HUGS Sandra

The title of your thread is "How long do you spend en-femme" which I'm assuming means "fully en-femme" not just under-dressing as if that were that case ... I'm full time! :D

I dress fully as Rachel every weekend and occasionally in the week. Mostly all it's all day Saturday, and I always go out to a TG event Saturday night and then I often, but not always ,dress fully en femme all day at home on Sunday too. I also go to River City Gems (http://www.rivercitygems.org/) board meetings once a month on a Monday night en femme too. To me, it seems quite a lot! :)

I just spent 3 days fully dressed, in NYC. It was the longest I have been dressed. I got home yesterday and will be able to remain in girl mode until this afternoon. I,m still in my nightie, panties and bra with my forms,It will be so hard to change back, I had to remove a wonderful set of acrylic nails that I got on Friday. This was the best trip, I did not bring any male clothes, I came and went as a women, it was great

However, I really cant imagine ever wanting to go full time. I love being male. I love being a husband to my wife in a typical male role. But I also love being able to indulge my feminine side and feminine feelings.

There are times when I think that if I had the time I would dress a good part of each day and that's mostly because I don't have the time right now to dress as much as I want to, but in general, I agree with the above quote - there are things that I enjoy doing in male mode and probaly couldn't do if I was living full time. So tempting as the idea may be sometimes, it likely will never happen, even if circumstances were to permit.

I spend up to 4-5 hours dressed as female...always in ultra-feminine clothes, such as big puffy wedding dresses, prom gowns, 4-5 inch heels, corsets, etc. you know anything that is 'princessy'...

Yes, the feeling while dressed is very nice, very feminine and like you say, 'horny' knowing that you've got all that gear on.

When wearing a wedding dress, walking around in high heels with the long train dragging behind...that's quite an immense feeling.

Another full time underdresser here -always panties and bra, and love it! Try to squeeze in as much femme time per each week as I can, but with the routine of "normal" living, it becomes a challenge. After doing a recent inventory of clothes, amazed to find I have more feminine items than guy stuff.

Vicki, I share similar feelings. Some weeks I dress en femme 4 to 8 hours every day; other weeks like is too hectic to dress or I simply am not in the mood. I too enjoy being male too much to seriously consider going full time. Still, my male side is definitely tinged with feminine characteristics, i.e. long nails, shaved body, earrings, eyebrows, etc.

I'm not big on labels, but I consider myself to be bi-gendered. I suppose I will always be roughly 50/50 and that's something I can live with.

Most of the time whan I get home it is time to change unless I need to leave. It is alway night gown and forms for bed.

Jilmac
09-23-2008, 10:45 AM
Vicki, I wear panties almost exclusivly, sometimes I'll wear a bra without my forms when I'm in drab, but as for going 24/7 as a female, I doubt I would want to. I have fantasized about living as woman 24/7 but I like being male, and enjoy my manliness when I'm with my very accepting, very sexy SO.

I always enjoy dressing and do it as often as I can when I'm not with my SO or engaged in some activity that requires me to be myself. I am an empty nester so that gives me plenty of time to dress around the house with nobody else here.

I don't think you're alone in presenting both your male and female sides. Just enjoy both entities and get the most out of being yourself.

I dress nearly full-time, I suppose I'm lucky enough to be able to. As for being "horny" I don't think I'm any more than I used to be in guy mode. Being en femme has it's own thrills but that's not what it's about. I just feel more comfortable and relaxed as Caroline to the extent that guy mode sometimes feels odd!

I have no interest in living fem fulltime. I underdress about 1/4 of the time and never get to dress at home unless the family is away. I would like to get out more than once a month, would like to dress some evenings, and wear a nightgown every night, but that's really all I would want.

CharleneT

Well, I under-dress every day. As for dressing the outer me, depends on what you mean. I wear women's clothes almost everyday, BUT they are "quiet": jeans, shorts, shoes etc. Tops are often women's tanks in the summer, or a fairly androygenous shirt. This winter will be a new test of this, as I haven't tried to dress in women's clothes during the day, during the winter, before. Time to shop for what tops could work !!

Now, fully dressing out "enfemme", ie dresses etc. Around the house, almost every night. Out on the town with friends, about twice a month (but that is going to change soon, my girl friend is very accepting and now wants to go out with me dressed - we tried it last weekend and had a blast). Out for a walk at night or the like, once a week.

I always have something fem on, nothing too obvious. Today I was cleaning. Leggings, bra, forms over a leotard top and a lipstick and some dangly jewelry. No make-up , wig, or anything else. I was comfortable and enjoyed it. I love the feel of earrings dangling as i move around.

Since my wife moved out, things have changed a lot. I now do almost all of my shopping and various other things en femme. The only things that I still do in male mode is visit with my wife and kids. I haven't been brave enough to visit a doctor dressed, but that too may change some day. I even changed a tire last night for a young woman (age 18). She was pretty shocked to realize that I was a guy dressed as a woman. It gave me a chance to outreach to her and let her know we are not serial killers. :D We are just guys who like to wear women's clothes.

In the last month I have spent most of my time en femme. It is a very liberating experience. It was also kind of a necessity since I have a lot more women's clothes than male ones. I either need to buy some male clothes or I am forced to continue wearing women's clothes.

I need to add something very important here. I went out with a GG friend of mine last night to a movie. It was extremely fun to visit with her en femme and carry on a lot of girl talk. The one thing that I realize is that my conversations in female mode are much deeper for some reason. I no longer find a need to solve the problem even when one doesn't exist. We just talked through a lot of issues and connected in a way that I had never felt before. It is strange since I am finally understanding a little bit about how girlfriend relationships work.

OK, it seems from your answers that (at least in this forum community) I am in a minority.

I came home at lunchtime and dressed for a half hour. Just a PVC skating dress and knee boots, ordered some parts for my car, changed back to my work clothes and returned to work.

Tonight, I dressed again for an hour or so, skinny jeans, knee boots, polo-neck. Prepared a meal, and before wifey and child were due home, I changed back.

Its hard to put into words how this 'changing about' feels. I feel comfortable in my male attire (tonight, grubby jeans and T-shirt, working in the garage you see) but tonight when I pulled on the skinny jeans and zipped up my (very very lovely) Oasis black leather stiletto knee boots, boy did I feel good! (and imagined I looked good too) :)

No guilt pangs tonight, despite a little 'fiddling' to finish, and no real wish to stay dressed as I knew the T-shirt, grubby jeans and trainers were going to be more comfortable and practical for working in the garage. I do however like to dress if I'm tidying / cleaning the house.

Bear with me please, I'm trying to work my head out :D It seems to me that I do not want to be female. I dont *think* I want to be able to pass as female. I have no wish to wear make-up (it seems like a lot of messy effort to me). I do want to be able to wear the clothes, and I feel sexy and relaxed wearing them. I might like to try a wig, and maybe even 'forms' at some stage, but I dont feel driven to, not in the way I feel driven to stilettos and dresses.

I'm wondering if there is a line between CD / TG and a 'Fetish' for womens clothes, or am I thinking too much?

One thing is for sure, I am much happier with my wife's understanding, and knowing you lot are here getting down to living life like this :)

I never underdress, i,m either all guy or as close to all girl as i can manage.
When i,m a guy i enjoy being a guy, but when i,m a girl, i love that too.
I dress on average 4 evenings a week including weekends, but would never mix the two, even when i don,t get a chance to dress fully.
I,m either Debs or D***, theres no in between!!

I'm so busy that I hardly get to dress anymore. But, when I do dress, it's for about 3-4 hours before I have to peal away the magic garments.
My wife is cool with me wearing pantyhose to bed whenever I want but I don't count that as dressing.

I get to become Jen on Thursdays and Sundays for a few hours a week and usually get some extra time when my parents go out for long periods of time.
Can't wait till tomorrow night when my parents go to London tomorrow and won't be back till near midnight so you know what that means ;D

Underdress with panties went I feeling girly, feels kind of like a tomboy. Fully enfemme maybe once or twice a year then it 24/7 for that time. The best part is that I love sleeping in a long silky night gown.:D

I underdress (undies only - thong) maby once a week but get to partly dress about twice a month. Whenever I go on work trips I take a few items with so I can have some fun but its limited to a nightie, bra and panties. I manage to fully dress including fully shaved, taped, and all about 2-3 times a year when my wife and I either go away for a weekend or the kids are away for a few days.
I would love to sleep in a nightie every night and dress at least weekly but the family life has its limitations! I envy the rest of you.

I guess I'm in the minority too. I enjoy being a man but I also like being feminine now and then. Yes, there's parts of me that are always a little fem-shaved legs, body and hands, thinned eyebrows and longer nails but for the most part I'm either all guy or all girl. I don't want to give up the guy in me but I can't give up the girl either. I've had chances to be in fem for several days but most of the time it's for a day at atime when I get the opportunity to. I don't think I'd want to be en fem 24/7.

Well, Vicki, I'm very much like you , so no, you're not alone in the CD community. In fact, I think there are quite a few of us. My wife knows about my crossdressing, and has accepted it, and been somewhat supportive. She has given me some panties and slips, and she has bought me stockings. But I can tell that she is still not real comfortable seeing me in full female clothing, so I usually dress when she is not around, which means a few hours a day, which also seems to satisfy me. Like you, I love being a male and wouldn't change it if I could, but I also love my moments in female clothing, and wouldn't change my desire to do that if I could.

For many years I went only dressed enfemme under my drab clothes. But since coming out of the closet, I now go 24/7 enfemme and I love it. I've never felt as good before as I do now dressed in my female clothing.

I spoil myself constantly. And I AM happy doing so.

I underdress in stockings and suspenders, panties, a half slip, bra and 2 full slips most days. I will go out like that if i can wear a heavy sweater. Sometimes i wear my gel bra and a sheer blouse with long half slip as a skirt. The gel bra seems to give a special thrill sometimes but i would not wear it all the time. I once went out with gel bra on but it was too noticeable. I often remove the drab when driving long distances and wear one of my blouses over the lingerie.

During the week, usually about 3 1/2 hours a day. The weekends are filled with my male duties, so none at all at that time.

I dress for anywhere from an hour to four hours at a time, depending on the day. Most times I wish I had more time, but time spent dressed is really pretty non-productive as far as getting things done around the house. So it's usually best for me to change back. I don't completely regret being a guy....it's just that I'd have had little or no regret being a woman. So changing back is a little melancholy for me.

You are not necessarily in a minority on the continuum TV-TG-TS. You must fit the second (or even the third) category in the COGIATI test, just as I do since scoring Ã* -130 on a scale of -700 to +700. There are here on this forum many people like both of us that would score negatively but not too far from scoring at 0. Or these people are just lurking, without being yet members , or they are not speaking too much, since rather often (not always) the most feminine of all of us tend to take the lead and speak more loudly.

The trick is the evolution in life : for long, I underestimated my feminine side and I used to spend little time enfemme, one couple of hours or so per week when much younger. At the moment I'm almost a third time TGirl, and maybe I will become a half time TGirl in the years to come. Yet I am your typical "Feminine Male" or "Androgynous" CDer. I have no TS tendancies(fourth and fifth category in the COGIATI).

http://www.transsexual.org/cogiati_english.html

Hugs

Nadia

P.S. The COGIATI is not a scientific test. I believe it is of indicative value especially for locating oneself on the continuum. Of course, the answers to the test are to be sincere, what is difficult to achieve, because it needs to know herself enough. The scoring is rather consistent at about 50 or 100 points. Don't hope a better "accuracy".

Im either all girl or all boy and I like to have at least 4-5 hours at a time to enjoy the whole experience.

I get home from work about 6pm and I can ususally be changed by 7pm so I then have a good 4-5 hours to spend as Gemma.

I would say I dress at least 3 evenings a week and often spent most of the weekend dressed too.

And why is it that it takes ages to do your make up but only 2 minutes to take it off at night?

Vicki, I can very much relate to what you said - I feel the same way. I've been dressed for two or three days in a row, even going to stay at a hotel a few years ago. But, I also feel like, it's enough of dressing after a while, sometimes just after a few hours, sometimes after a whole day. Then, I just want to switch back into boy mode a wnat to wear my jeans. I like being a male and I couldn't dress 24h that's for sure.

As I've said in another post, I am lucky to have a small side buisness that my clients allow and seem to encourage dressing up. It started small at first but now its all the way baby right down to my pocketbook (I love pocketbooks). Sitting with the ladies of the house after and during work chatting about girl stuff is awsome and really puts th feminine into it. So far I really have it made and it has some perks as well. I've got many tips from real girls that I would never found out and spend lots of time dressing and using my wardrobe instead of just looking at it. So to answer the ? About 60 hrs or so per week right now. If I did not have the work about 20 hrs. And I'm still looking for the perfect pair of pink strappy pumps for my pink mini dress!

Well, I've started to get work appropriate womens clothes AND started wearing light make up at work. A little mascarra, a little eyeliner, and a light lipstick/ lipgloss. I finally came out dressed in the neighbor hood and now my life is mine, I'm trying to get to a place where I am female full time at home. Little baby steps for sure, when I get home I put on the rest of my make up and get changed into my normal clothes ( yes, I mean womens clothes are normal for me now ), and yes I know that most women come home and take their make up off. But I have 30 years of putting on make up to catch up on so it's time well spent. And more importantly, I see the person I'm supposed to be better with the make up on, I'm lucky that I have my own hair that I'm now growing out. I need to get it styled I think before I ditch the wigs for good, I kind of want to try it tonight when I go out for a TG social. It's all scary, until I take my head out of the place it's been for years, and into the real person I am, and suddenly it's not such a strange thing for a woman to do, getting her hair done that is. I am more in line with you except I can dress for 6-8 hours when I do and if at night can wear my bra and forms to bed with my wife's reluctant OK. Once or twice a year I get a whole week to myself to dress as much and as long as I wish. I do wear panties 7/24, have my toe nails painted most of the time and wear ear rings all the time. I am very comfortable in my male role, but also just s comfortable as Alice. I would like to dress a bit more at home in the evenings, but have no desire to be full time. I sort of like the secret life and danger that goes with it, but I've always been a Adrienne junkie.

I'm usually dressed in a unisex outfit for work, tight girly jeans and such, but I'm not likely to be mistaken for a woman. I dress fully, skirt or dress, wig and such 3-5 hours a day 5-6 days a week in the evening or weekends. Usually makeup to a greater or lesser degree when fully dressed, depending on what's going on and my mood. Probably average for a closet CD with an accepting SO and no children in the house. :)

I am 24/7 at home. Go out in male clothes about once a week for doctor appointments or errands. Hate male clothes now. They make me feel creepy. Not to judge part time girls. We are all different. It's just who I am now and I am so happy to be this way.

How long, let's see what time of year is it? Nice weather to much to do out and about, a day or two a week will find me dressed, full make up and all, but then comes the rainy season and it can go up to 5 to 7 days a week. And I do sleep in nightgowns every night, but don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my guy time too.

Usually around 40 hours per week at home with a good 10-12 hours of that on most Saturdays. Can't safely underdress at work although I would if I could. Having to do the guy stuff tends to limit dressing to evenings and weekends.

For me it's panties (full cut satin in every color I can get.) 24/7. Bras and forms to bed. With teenage kids not much time for anything else.

A typical day for me starts in drab when I get up and put on boy clothes. This allows me to do any chores and go out as required.

As soon as possible, and it's usually early afternoon, I dress and stay en-femme for the rest of the day. Bedtime I change into a nightie and sleep en-femme.

So, that's a typical day.

But sometimes I'm out all day and get back too late to dress :( But it's still a nightie at bedtime.

And then there are days when I don't have to go out and I'm not expecting visitors. On these occassions I dress all day :) For a part-time CD these are days to treasure. There's something special about getting up and going en-femme straight way.

Luv

Other than work all the remainder of the time, and although I dress "drab" at work, this is my own highlighted hair, much longer now, always have hoop earrings in, I'm always Kristen in how I act. 1 step away from fulltime

I don't own any male underwear and wear something feminine all the time. As for en femme almost every day from a couple of hours to a couple of days. I don't always go the whole hog with make up and wig but I do always make sure that I don't look like a slob in a dress.
I tend to dress male only when out on daily routines.

I have not had on a pair of boy shorts in six months. My toenails are always polished, and my arms and legs shaved. I have had my beard removed by electrolysis. I express fully about two days per week, and go anywhere, including flying , enfemme. I have spent sixteen days full time enfemme to prove to myself that I could exist as a woman if I so desired. I spend a week to ten days full time at one time each year.
Hugs,

No where nearly enough time is spent enfemme...Even when I was taking my vacations and able to be enfemme 24/7 for the entire time, It wasn't enough for me... There is always that nagging knowledge that my femme time has to come to an end...I've even gone so far as to spend the time right up to when I had to leave for the airport to come home enfemme...I know...so why don't I decide to go FT?? Sometimes I wish I could...but "Real Life" situations don't allow me that luxery..Maybe someday I will be able to...:daydreaming:...As it is..I try to enjoy my "Kendra Time" as much as I'm able to ...Ahhhh, I miss my vacations...

Since I retired 11 months ago I have been dressing almost full time. I have gone as long as two weeks without wearing men's clothes. I live on a private acreage in the country and very seldom drive into town any more. Usually only twice a month so this is about the only time I wear men's clothes. I have to admit that I do not shave and wear makeup every day but the clothes I wear are womens.
