Here is an interesting article from this week's issue of SoVo, tied in to the upcoming Southern Comfort Conference in Atlanta:
Male? Female? Yes. No. Maybe. (http://www.sovo.com/2008/9-26/news/localnews/9205.cfm)
The article actually touches on multiple perspectives, ranging from gender queer to binary trans sexual, but they have interviews with several people who were assigned female at birth (some of whom now identify as male), and since the media tends to focus more on trans females I thought that noteworthy.
[Though Southern Voice talks about trans issues fairly frequently, and as a queer newspaper it is far more even-handed between men and women than most media sources.]
