Working is really difficult when there's a "Boys Club" mentality at work and the guys talk about chicks and uphold manliness. When they find out you cd, they tease, insult, or maybe worse things happen to you.

Yeah, they didn't make me perm at MPC Products, nor make me an engineer there when there was an opening, and then when I interview later as a Tech Writer they ditched the interview.

Synchro Start - they made fun of me at the company Xmas party.

Today's interview - seems like a "Boys Club" and they probably wouldn't like me if they found out I cd.

How were you treated at companies that had "Boys Clubs?"

Its very difficult in the working world for a Cder or TS. There are some companies that do have reasonable equality rules in employment for GLBT people. I discovered this while working hurricane relief where a large GLBT group was also having a meeting on this. But as you say Kate, for this progress there is still many miles to go before we sleep.
