Well gals, I went to Esprit and had the CD time of my life! I met soo many new friends and gorgeous people from all walks of life. For more info about Esprit, visit http://www.espritconf.com

If you'd like to spend a few days in femme with people like yourself, THIS is the place to do it. I have too many stories to share here, but I'll share a few pics before I put them on my web site.

Note that I've cropped out people, or blurred them out to respect their privacy & identity.

I arrived Wednesday, just in time to have my nails done at a local salon in Port Angeles. They were very friendly, patient and helpful. I got a few stares and giggles from the local teens, but had a fun time anyway. I even had my toes done this time, with a little floral pattern, too!

After that, it was back to the 1950's with an authentic 50's diner set fit for a movie, and cars from the era. Elvis was also seen wandering around and flirting with us girls...

This diner set was massive, complete with tiled floors, upolstered booths and chairs, shiny metal doors and frames, ice cream bar, juke boxes, etc. I hear they're going to rent the set out for plays and movies...

I met up with a few familiar faces from Emerald City, not knowing anyone else.

More in the next post...

Thursday was class day for me. I took a class on feminine authenticity, studying the little things that can give us away. Posing, sitting, etc.

Also took a class on feminine movement, which helped me loosen up and dump those male inhibitions...

Later that night, we had a dance and Ava MOUSE crossdressed as a cat!

Later, it was off to the hot tub outside to get some air!

And what's a crossdressing conference without a fashion show! Thanks to the wonderful ladies at the local Fashion Bug, I got to strut my stuff and wear a cute outfit, which I later bought...

Saturday was the highlight of it all, with the butterfly pin graduation ceremony. My 'big sister' pinned me with a gorgeous broach...

And as a new debutante, it was my job to be hostess for my table, pouring wine, making toasts, etc.

Well, Sunday snuck up on me, and it was time to go home. 4 days in femme, a hundred new friends and I really felt something had changed for the better in me. I still can't put my finger on it, but I do know that next year, I'll be back. And when I go out in public, I'll have a little extra confidence to be who I really am...

Wow Ava! Sounds like you had a wonderful time. The pictures look very nice and I wish I could find something like that around the DC area. I can understand your feelings and I am so happy to hear that you had a blast and never mind about the people at the salon I have gone to the salon to have my toes done and fingers done and have had a few laughs but it is what you feel inside that counts

Oh Ava, I'm soooo glad you had such a wonderful time !!! You look fantastic in all your outfits. I really have no excuse for not going myself. I have always heard, from girls that have been to Esprit, that the event is way more than can be imagined. Even those that get out a lot enfem, have told me this. I am so envious !!...... :)

Something magical happened here, like I said, I can't put my finger on it... Ava's grown up a bit, I guess. But it doesn't mean my crossdressing adventure is over, it just means I've reached a milestone of some sort.

There's no turning back now, Ava is here to stay. Ava will always be an intimate part of me. I can't separate that part of me. At this point I wouldn't want to, it would be like removing my heart or any other vital organ.

Interesting thing is that Esprit didn't really do anything. *I* did it all. I let it happen. I got out of Esprit what I put into it.

I was accepted for how I presented myself, and I accepted others for being who they were... That's a VERY important aspect of maturing our spiritual self, too. God loves us for who we really are, not who others mold us to be...

Society wants everyone to fit a certain mold, and hammers down those who stand out. As if happy content people are not allowed. I'm now free to be who I really am, a straight, happily and faithfully married guy with kids who dresses as Ava now & then, and loves to draw and paint the feminine. That makes me happy. Society says otherwise, but society's rules have never made me happy. I'm playing by my own rules now.

Don't feel guilty about being happy with who you are deep inside. God created you uniquely, and I believe there's an undocumented sin, the sin of denying people from being who God created them to be. The sin of personal oppression.

Hook youself up with God/Jesus and free youself from the rules of other men, the rule of government and society. Government, religion and society only have as much power as you give them. Our frustration comes from not being able to be 100% what God made us to be...

Mia,

Thanks! There were lots of poodle skirted ladies there, and some were roller skating too! A group of gals did the lolipop song, too. A few cheerleaders... A great chance to relive the 50's in femme!

I'm more of an 80's guy, but I still enjoyed it immensely. I loved the cars and the diner, wow...

Stephanie and EVERYONE,

Everyone here is an inspiration to me! I share what I've learned to help you gals, and I've gained a lot from the insight of many here.

I know I'm an inspiration to some, and I try to use that for good, for positive things. At Esprit, I found the best way to meet a new person was to compliment them on something. Being a shy "quiet as a mouse" kinda gal, it really helped break the ice.

Funny thing is that it worked even better for GG's. When I was shopping at Fashion Bug, the other women shopping complimented me on something I wore and it became a compliment fest! LOL... And we all left the store on cloud 9...

Anyway, I share these pictures and stories because I want you to experience them, too! While I *LOVE* compliments, the best compliment is when one of you gals succeeds at some aspect of crossdressing that I helped with. There's nothing more satisfying than that. :)

So, go out and experience these things! Join Tri-Ess or a local CD group. Go to an en-femme conference, you'll have the time of your life.

NOONE at Esprit looked bad. Seriously. EVERYONE had tasteful clothes in public, a descent makeup job and feminine attitudes about them. I truly felt like I was among a group of women and felt accepted. If all these guys can get up the courage to do this, you can too, regardless of your self image. Believe me, those makeup GG's were working non stop to transform these guys, wigs were flying off the styrofoam heads and Espy's Veronica's and related padding merchandise were selling, too.

I even got a preview of her new products coming out. No more foam padding for me, I'm going more realistic soon! She even exchanged a broken Diva Bra for me for free. And we chatted about 'Crossdressing Engineering' for a while, too. Since we're both engineers... LOL...

GO to a conference gals! You won't regret it...

LOL, that Zebra dress came from my trip to Japan a few years ago. It is sooo cute! I've more pics on my website: http://206.124.158.116:8888/ava/ on page 6...

I love the ruffles that climb up the leg, it's a tad higher cut there, too. My skirt from "The Limited" is like that, too. I LOVE that style, very feminine and sexy, yet still very conservative... (Page 9)

The quinceanera/wedding dress is here: http://store.yahoo.com/thebridalshop2/weddresstyl221.html and yes, I got it for $89!!! :D
