OK so how tall are you?

I myself am 5'8"

I have noticed something after reading a lot of posts on here.

It seems that a fair share of the people on here are tall or very tall [over 6ft].

Maybe I just happen to notice them more because the taller folk here tend to state their height more often.


I have a friend who is 6'6"
I also dated a great girl once who happen to be 6'0" and always wore heels. I think she was one of the very few tall women that didn't mind having a boyfriend 4 inches shorter then her & 8 inches shorter when she was in heels.

BTW: There is something to be said for a 6ft blonde in 4" heels and a miniskirt. But anyway................

The reason I added these two bits of info is that I have noticed how your whole perspective on things change at those heights. For example standing on a step stool and taking a moment to realize that I'm as tall [or close] to my friend's height and this is how he must see everything, everyday.

Sort of the same thing happens [more or less] when wearing heels, even if it's just 3 or 4 inches.
Just an odd observation of mine.

I am 6'6'' and in male mode really enjoy being tall although when younger got alot of teasing for it. When in fem mode I wish I was a good few inches shorter so that I could fit into the female group and possibly even pass. I love CD'ing and would love to just go into the city centre and walk around like a lady or head out clubbing and be one of the girls but alas there is little chance of this being so tall!

I'm pretty tall too i guess! 6"1 but would love to be a little bit shorter just from a confidence point of view. I'm pretty skinny though, so can get by with the tall skinny girl kind of look. Having said that, my old job in retail meant serving all shapes and sizes of women, and believe me, there's a lot of real tall gg's out there, and lots that i had to look up at to talk to. So whatever your height i guess we should all be proud of who we are :)

I went to a mall and spent time with an SA at the cosmetic counter in Macys . Then shopped in a few stores and went to lunch with my gg friend. Again the waitress called us "ladies". I also used the ladies room. NO Problem!

It's great that both of you have the opportunity to use and think of your height in a positive way.

Alys, I think the last thing you should ever be worried about is your ability to pass.


It does seem that we have an over abundance of people at or above the 6ft mark.

For me I guess 5'8" is a good happy medium that works for both sides.
But I would not have minded having a few inches added to my height for my everyday self.

But, I have had two experiences that have made me re-consider the importance (or lack thereof) of height. I was buying a pair of panties in Marshall one day and the woman in front of me was my height, had legs bigger (bulkier) than mine, shoulders bigger than mine, wrists bigger than mine. She was clearly on one end of the gg female size continuum. In fact, rather close to where I would be.

The second experience occurred the first time I went to NYC while dressed. Walked up the steps to the Metropolitan Museum and entered behind several very nice looking GGs who TOWERED over me. They must have belonged to a women's basketball or something. Again, on several measurement dimensions, they were all typically female. But, on the issue of height, I felt right at home around them. It was at that moment that I realized the height issue was no longer a concern to me.

Even a mild 1" or 1 1/2" wedge makes everything in my house different. Reaching the door knobs for instance :) Also (for better or worst) I can see places that need dusting :sad:
