...actually, I just wanted to get your attention so I could find out the most reliable place to obtain them?

...I've never done the bf thing before, so I thought maybe it would be a nice thing to do for my annual weekend out (yes, you heard right...annual) next month. :D Yay! Party! La Cucaracha, La Cucaracha, Hey! Oops, sorry, I get carried away when I think about it sometimes, giggle :o

You see, I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain (and my breasts) around paying anywhere from $199.00 - $299.00 for a couple of squishy man-made prothesis to pad my bra when other implements of seduction...ahem...I mean destruction have worked well for me in the past.

Madilyn

What advantages am I going to get out of paying that much for a pair of faux boobies (which is obviously waaaaaaay less than a real breast augmentation thank God) versus getting the $89.95 running deal on eBay?

I've done a little research and reading, and sure the expensive one's claim to look "more realistic" and are made with "better materials", and they don't chaffe, but c'mon...is anyone of us really going to go topless in public to the point where they need to look like they are actually derived from the womb??? I might as well start mones if that's the case and grow my own...

So what is your ladies take on breastforms? Some of you use them, some don't like the look, some prefer small breasts, or breastforms rock? I think I'm leaning towards buying a cheapy pair as an experiment this year just to see how it goes. If all goes well and I can see the future return on my investment (or my stupidity) maybe I'll buy the custom made high quality sacks of fake skin and nipples...we'll see.

BTW, having a great time with you gals...you rock in a Pink Cadillac :)

Kisses,

Maddy

Easy does it Sweety... all those La Cucaracha's and you might throw something out! LOL Oh you are so cute!
Seriously though Madilyn (I love your name) I bought mine at Glamour Boutique in Mass. (http://www.glamourboutique.com/breastforms/index.html) in a size 44 and are they bouncy. I love strutting in my heels and wiggling. You might also want to look at www.austinsangels.com for some makeup/bearing of ... photos. I'm thinking of going for a makeover/photo session there... maybe soon.
I didn't see the need, personally, to spend a lot because I was always going to wear a bra of some sort so I didn't really need the glue on ones.
Hope this helps hon!

Madilyn,
I have had several pairs, from cheep to very expensive. I like the Ameora's that have a self adhesive that is very gental to your skin.
Being a fair skinned redhead. That is most important.
The cheep kind are made with one layer of fabric over the silicone. Will not last a year. If you use them at all. I have had my Ameora's for over 3 years and am very happy with them. I use them every day. And sleep in them most days.
I personally recommend spending more money to start with. When you buy cheep you will have to buy them again very soon.
You will love the feel of a well made breast form. They truly make you feel like you have something of your own. I choose smaller forms with the self adhesive. Because I am small in stature and they look right and not too big. With the self adhesive I can go with out a bra, however I must wear a cami with a shelf bra. Or in a swim suit.

Hope I've helped you with a guide to buying. The Breast Form Store.
Is a very good place to shop on line www.breastfromstore.com/ Very Tgirl friendly.

Take care and have a wonderful outing.

Actually back when I was in my sculpting days I decided to make my own breasts. Used modeling clay as a mold, then melted down a few bags worth of silicone fishing lure to fill the mold. Unfortunately they were the lures with the glitter in them, and we can't go around having clear green glittery boobs now can we? (It's not Mardi Gras anymore). Coated them with a few layers of latex paint, hit it with the old airbrush, and they have some weight to them, cost me whatever lures were going for at K-Mart, and they fill the 'ol bra out.

To help with the color a little and to avoid sweaty buildup, I cover them with one knee-high a piece. Feel great too. Just a little stiff if you decide to touch (I think I can deflect a knife attack with them, which might be my cup of tea, but not yours). Working on making a new set, so I'll keep you informed.

Ug, I'll have to find the web address for you, but I saw a pair of state of the art, super silicone bubble gel breasts that go for about $800 U.S. somewhere online, and from the pics they seem to be worth every penny. Pornstar boobs at a fraction of the price! Plus they're seamless, look real (they match your skin tone), and you can go topless and you'll look stunning (or at least as stunning as a guy with boobs can look in my case). Hopefully some day I can make a set as real as that.

Best of luck to you,

Shy 1

Hi Madilyn,

You get what you pay for. I have Amoena breast forms and have worn them almost daily for close to seven years. They have the proper weight, feel and movement of real breasts and can be worn with any type of bra or without one if you so choose. I got mine from a women's clothing shop. A phone call was all that was needed, most places that sell them are well aware of CD's needs and are willing to make private appointments. All they can say is no so don't worry about it. You may pay more this way but the up side is you now have a place to shop for other things in a friendly environment.

Darby, Summer, Charlotte, Jenny-Beth, you are all Diva's (that's a good thing ;) ) in your own rights. I will give all of your comments serious consideration and will continue to do my homework.

Given my inability to go out frequently, the fact that I'm already beginning to panic because my weekend is less than a month away, and the fact that a substancial investment in bf's is not in the financial cards right now, I will probably relieve some stress and do something simple for August.

As I continue to arm myself with information, I can take a step-back and make an informed decision as to how I want to tackle the boobs issue...hell, I'll have plenty of time after my weekend in August to decide/save, so I figure if I'm going to do it...I might as well do it right.

Thank you to each of you for responding, and I'd love to hear other experiences with breastforms if you care to share. As much as I hate to admit it (and I really don't hate to admit it), I love you all...you're great!

Kisses,

Maddy

In case it's not too late, and perhaps others are looking too, I purchased "pals" breast forms and it's the best purchase I've made related to my crossdressing. They warm up nicely, have a natural heaft and bounce....just love em!

Buy them directly here:
http://www.supergelproducts.com/Teardrops.html (sale priced at $49.95)

Here's a picture (attached) that shows how they look on me. I particularly like that they have nipples that can show through fabric if you choose.

i'm considering getting a pair as well! but most likely will not be able to afford the high end ones. i am most likely going to try the transform supers here: http://www.theintimateshop.com/breast_forms_nearly_me.html

i have a few questions for those of you that have purchase breast forms before.

do you usually wear them with a bra? or with adhesives?
do they hold well with that double-sided adhesive tape?
those that use adhesives ... how do they come off?
what sort of bras would go best with them?
oval or triangle ... what's the difference, really?

thanks for your time!

Hi Paula,

Thanks so much for the advice. I have to make a decision very soon and at $49.95, that doesn't seem like a bad investment for experimentation purposes. I am not able to swing the high-end forms either, so I'll have to make due this time around with what I can afford.

Okay, that part of my reply is related, but I must also say (since this is the first time I've seen you post) that you look absolutely amazing and are a gorgeous beauty. Welcome to the forum and please continue to be a part of our growing community here...I think you'll have a great time and meet some wonderful gf's...

Maddy, you make me blush!!
Thank you soo much for your sweet welcome. I already seem to have met a wonderful girl....you! BTW: You look fantastic yourself!

You can't go wrong spending $49 although I might have preferred the larger size had they been available at the time. I think they would fit better on my chest with less gap and more cleavage..They are a few dollars more though.

Thanks again for the complement, it means a lot to me. I've never been out of the house as Paula and perhaps with the encouragement of other girls I might take a step or two out into the big-bad.

Peace - Grace,
Paula

Like Darby, I get mine at Glamour Boutique. The owner (John) is not one of the many rip-off artists who pray on our community and your satisfaction is assured.

Although after seeing the Paula's post, well..... at $49 for your first pair, the risk is very very low, and the rewards are very very gratifying.... go for it...

...Now, what the hell do I do with them? I get this box at work this morning and I'm not really sure what it is (I've ordered a few things of late...including Heartworm medicine for the dog, lol), so I take a quick break long enough to run it out to the car.

I couldn't wait until lunch to go look to see what it is, so lunch finally rolled around and I went back out to the car and opened the brown box. Inside (amongst the styropeanuts) were two relatively large white boxes with lift-off lids. I'm standing in a busy parking lot on the passenger side of my car at work during everyone's lunch hour and I open one of the boxes. I see this vagina looking thing (the back of the forms) staring back at me and I wasn't really sure what I had gotten myself into. I look around to make sure the coast was clear, and gently lift this BOOB out of its plastic cradle (I'm truly amazed at the care with packaging). I'm standing there holding a boob in my hand and smiling from ear-to-ear. I'm thinking..."Wow, I'm finally playin' with my boob"...it was a wonderful feeling...

Since I knew what was in the other box, there was no need to open it at that time. I didn't want to get caught "looking like a boob", so I gently nestled the treasure back into it's little home and excitedly went back to work. All afternoon I could think of nothing else but to get home to check 'em out.

After work, I got home, stripped off my clothes, and opened both boxes. I took my boobs out and held them up to my drab boobs (and then wondered if there is a left and a right...is there?) in front of the mirror and just let my mind race for a few secs. I'm holding them there and doing a profile turn and it struck me...no directions, no guidance, nothing...just a disclaimer that the product is not FDA approved.

As I said a couple posts above, I'm on a pretty tight budget right now, although I did end-up spending $90.00 rather than the $50.00 suggested by Paula. I got mine off of eBay and I couldn't believe I got them in just two days. I just thought they looked (at least in the picture) a little more realistic than the Pals. I'm a little disappointed because I bought a 38D and now I'm thinking I should have gotten a 42DD, lol...

As I stand there holding my boobs onto my boobs, I also realize that I have no clue how to administer these prostetic appendices. Do I squirt a bunch of glue on the inside and hold them to my chest for 30 minutes until dry? Do I get out the Duct Tape and tape them to my chest? Do I just set them inside a bra and be done with it? I realize I'm not going to be walking around topless or anything, but I thought they would adhere to my body in some manner.

As you can see, I'm somewhat confused and really do not want to regret my purchase...which by the way, I have no reference point to compare, but these seem like a pretty good quality product for the price...especially compared to $299.00 and up. Of course, if I had a high quality pair to compare, then I might see a significant difference, but for as often as I get out, these should work out really well...if I can just figure them out.

Any tips, links, advice, suggestions, comments, or criticism any of you beautiful ladies might have for me would be so greatly appreciated. I love you gals, you're always so helpful, kind, and supportive. This is an incredible forum.

By the way, Paula you have ABSOLUTELY no reason to blush when complimented. You are extremely beautiful and I would love to look half as good as you when dressed (I hope the breastforms help a little). Don't you agree ladies? For you to reveal that Paula has never seen the light of day or the dark of night makes my heart sink. You should walk proud and not be ashamed or embarrassed about going out because you rival runway models. Unless you're concerned about being hit-on (which I can just about guarantee you will), you should go have some fun. I highly doubt anyone would even come close to recognizing you if that's a concern.

If I don't hear that you've gotten out soon, I'm going to have to personally come knocking on your door, hold your hand, and walk (or drive) you to the nearest watering hole for a cocktail. You deserve to be seen girl...do it!

Thanks everyone for being here and giving this place a really comfortable feeling. It's a wonderful respite from the day-to-day grind.

Kisses,

Maddy

p.s. Jocee, thanks for your advice and you must know you look incredible right? I checked out your site and you've come a long way baby ;) ...of course, the fact that I have a blonde fetish could have something to do with it :p Kisses and Hugs

Maddy:

I felt the same way when I purchased my breast forms...excited and proud to finally have breasts that looked and felt real inside my bra and against my chest. Having breast forms puts your crossdressing on a different plain.

it's hard to tell without seeing a picture ... some are symmetrical (no left or right), and some are asymmetrical (each form is different) ... i guess the best way to tell is to put them side by side and see if they're the same :o

though i have not had experience with breastforms, (but i have been reading a lot and asking a lot of questions ... i'm planning on getting a pair!) i have heard stories about men, just like women, who experience discomfort (like, bra strap strain and back pain) from having forms too big. if the 38Ds are proportional to your body, then i'd say keep them!

As I stand there holding my boobs onto my boobs, I also realize that I have no clue how to administer these prostetic appendices. the Amoena's Classic Contact (available at http://www.thebreastformstore.com ) has some sort of layer that will stick to your body without adhesives so you can go braless ... :) those are EXPENSIVE!

other than that, you can either stick them in a bra (a masectomy bra has special pockets for them, but a normal bra would probably be okay too), or, purchase adhesives for the breastforms ( http://www.thebreastformstore.com/grpAdhesives.html ) ... i'm not sure whether duct tape or other sort of adhesives would be okay ... it would be bad if the forms were ruined!

if you have more questions, i would recommend e-mailling the nice people at the breast form store (http://www.thebreastformstore.com) or the intimate shop (http://www.theintimateshop.com/ ) ... i have e-mailed the people at these sites and they were incredibly helpful. :) the breast form store has a habit of answering my e-mails within 24 hours ... which is great

undefinedundefinedundefined Well, This is my $.05 worth on this issue, I ordered my breast forms about 5 yrs ago, from www.cpmart.com they arrived in less than 5 days, I Couldnt wait to get the box opened, I Do love them, they are Non-medical grade silicone, and are last I looked about $99.00 for a pair, if you go to their site, click on forms and then go to 3rd page,,, you will see them, I am a pretty good size guy so I wanted to stay proportionate, I got some that gave me a "D" cup size, I would recommend them to anyone wanting an inexpensive first pair, I have abused mine over the years and I am needing another pair in the coming months, and I know I will order from them again myself, they have other items for CD's also, and Bras with pockets for the forms, Check'em out for yourself, Hope you can get to experience the forms for yourself,, I Am So glad I got mine when I did,

Paula,
First you look stunning. I have a set of pals teardrops as well, I love the shape and the size but I've found I can't wear them. I have rather sinistive skin and the minerals they use I'm allergic to. Its a bummer but I'm back to using a nice set of enhancers for now.
