I am CD/TG/TS who is not on HRT. I am weekly around MD's who think that I am simply playing with them when I describe my consistant, monthly cravings
which are similiar to those of a gg. I understand the non-scientific basis for such, but they are real and timely each month. I have advanced degrees in psychology and neuro-science, psychiatry, and physiology. Perhaps I should know the why behind these cravings? My question : Do any of you (non HRT)
experience the same as I have described?? If so, do you have an opinion as to why we are experiencing these cravings?? Thank you...

Monthly cravings? I'm female-bodied and I've never had or even heard of such a thing (unless you count "violence" as a craving). I have heard of some guys who get jokingly referred to as having PMS and get a mood change once a month, and some people are affected by moon cycles...never heard of this 'cravings' thing before though. :idontknow:

when I was on hormones I never had monthly cravings. although at times when I am over anxious I do get the feeling for chocolate more than ever.
maybe its a sexual substitution your feeling?

I have cravings constantly to take more hormones to transition more. Food becomes a substitute at times. Don't want to gain weight so I just ignore the cfood cravings.

I am not sure what sort of "cravings" you are having.... If you were a tad bit more specific, maybe I do :P

They have shown that with mens hormones as well as womens.
Some believe in Biorhythms, not sure about it, but you can do your own test and see if your ups and downs correlate with your Biorhythms or something else.
You will need to keep track for quite a few months though and it is hard to remember to do it.
Putting Biorhythms lows and peaks on a calender would help then mark the calender when you have the "cravings".
I have yet to see a pattern in my moods, Biorhythms or anything else.
But cravings it is nutritional. If I skip my supplements I am more likely, nearly guaranteed, to crave chocolate and sweets!
