Hi
In my previous thread: Different kind of Halloween problem (http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91672)

I discussed going out for the first time dresses in a girls/female costume.

Like this current title hints at,
I went ahead & purchased the following:
Costume (http://www.buycostumes.com/The-Wizard-of-Oz-Dorothy-Adult-Costume/7727/ProductDetail.aspx) and Wig (http://www.buycostumes.com/Deluxe-Internaional-Beauty-Wig-Brown/21645/ProductDetail.aspx)
Along with 3" Black Mary Jane shoes, a white petticoat, white tights & stay ups, ect.

Basically everything to pull off the proper "look" of the costume.
I have a "believable enough cover story" for wearing this. BUT

I still have not talked to the people I plan on going out with about costume choices.

My concerns are this:
Is buying all of this ahead of time going to raise any red flags?

How will the people I know react to this and how I would be dressed?

I don't know how I am going to feel being dressed this way in front of people I know either my friends & possibly family.

I don't know how I am going to feel wearing this costume out into a bar's Halloween party.

On one hand I want to do it all out.
Shaved legs/arms, have my GG friend or my sister do the make-up, ect. & be the guy, dressed as a girl, dressed in a costume.

One other BIG, BIG concern.
What kind of underwear to wear under the costume???
And how to explain where I got the panties I would like to wear under the costume came from????
Same thing goes for where I got the bra,
I intend on having nice "breasts" to fill out the costume.

AND on top of all this, the general though of doing this scares the hell out of me & I'm afraid that even after spending the money I did still being a wuss & backing out of it all & not even mention it to them.

Soooooooo, HELP??

You have spent all the time and money for this and if you dont do it you will hate your self. This is some thing you need to do for your self and for others, so what, let them live there lives and you live yours.

Samantha, you can be "a guy in a dress" having a good time at a Halloween party or maybe use this as a bit of a "coming out" for Samantha or anything in between! I'm doing the same thing this year with a Halloween party at home for a few close friends, a couple of them are CD'ers, but most don't know I CD. I plan to look like a babe and act and talk and walk as much like "Debbee" as possible. I know a few will be amazed and if someone says something about how good I look, I'm going to say "Yep, I've done this once or twice before!". Like Rita says: "Go for it"!

Hi Sam!!!! Well if u need a cover story when u r fully dressed u could always use the "age old ruse" of I lost a bet and had to do this!!!! Or u could try this one--" I just wanted to see how the other half lives" Or if u got "big ones" try this-- I do this all the time, how do I look?(Just kidding) All kidding aside though. being that u bought all the clothes you REALLY should go and U WILL HAVE A GOOD TIME!!!!

Go for it!! No better excuse than Halloween! Don't over analyze it or you'll talk yourself out of it! Do it, go with the flow and enjoy yourself!

Nice choice of outfit and accessories.......like the wig............just do it....you can always say, "Hey, it's Halloween, you're suppose to look like someone else!!" Good Luck... I hope you'll have pictures of the final product.

I really really don't want to do the bearded lady, guy in a dress look.
I think, like most of us do. That look is sorta a slap in the face to us.

Any "coming out" is unlikely.
But I will be keeping tabs on how this goes over with my family/friends.
Also how willing they are to volunteer their help to complete the look.
I would very much like to see the subject of nails, make-up, ect. come from one of them.

I know Halloween is Halloween & that accepting this on that day, from what I've read on here, could be a far cry from the acceptance levels of actually coming out.
But hey its as good of a place to start as any, right?

I have that end covered, Money is always a great motivator, lol.

Thank You,
It was the shortest length costume I found that wasn't to short.
Some of them [like This one (http://www.buycostumes.com/Miss-Dorothy-Adult-Costume/17243/ProductDetail.aspx)] are just to short! For me anyway.
I decided on the not over the top wig & it makes a great backup if I decide not to go with my own hair.

The fact I happen to like the Tights & Mary Janes look is no coincidence in costume choice either, lol.

Samantha, calm down, you are in danger of worrying yourself to death before Halloween. Get dressed, go out, have a good time.

If your at a bar there will be other guys in drag it just happens. Last year we went out to port o call definitly not the kind of place you would go dressed to the nines usually. But there were atleast 10 other guys dressed up. As for under wear just buy some panties you cant wear boxers it just looks bad if anyone sees and says something just say you went all out

It has been bought to my attention in a good way that I should just stop thinking & just start doing.

So that is what I am going to do.

As far as make-up goes, I'm clueless .
So what ever help isn't offered will be asked for.

Hopefully everything will be here Tues & I it all fits.
I'll keep you updated on my progress.

I want to thank everybody for responding & for all the positive encouragement.
