Anyone go to Fantasia Fair? I just returned from a week in Provincetown and it's difficult to escape the pink fog. It was such a wonderful experience. Just wondering if anyone else here attended.

Hi Lauren
I got back yesterday after 4 nights in Ptown. This was my 9th or 10th yr. Each year is better than the last. I used to get depressed when I got back. But I just think about next year and those sad feelings go away. I loved the follies, I thought it was one of the best I saw. I dont register with the fair because of $. Also Im not a person for schedules when Im on vacation, but I recommend the fair to anyone.
Yours Terri

This was my first year and it was just amazing. To live 24/7 as Lauren for 7 days was so wonderful. Terri you should try and register with the Fair as you do get to participate in the programs and feel more a part of the Fair. You get so much of your money back in lunches and dinners. There are so many functions and seminars to attend that you can't unless you're registered and it takes alot of work and money to put the Fair on so maybe think about registering next year as I think you'l enjoy it much more if you do. I got so much out of some of the seminars. I met so many wonderful people from all over the world. One day I had lunch with a girl from Canada, Norway and England. I also had lunch with Stephen Whittle who is the successful soldier in the fight for transgendered rights. He founded Press for Change in England and was responsible for getting gender rights passed in Englad which allowed him as a M to F to marry is wife and be recognized as the father of his 4 children. It was a wonderful week and I can't think of any other place I'd rather be.

I think one of the nicest rewards I have gotten from being a CD is all the nice people I have met over the years. I started going out in 1977 or 78. Over the years I have met people from all over the world. Many of them at Ptown during the fair. I have struggled as many of us have with balancing my fem side with the male of my life. Like I said I recommend Fantasia Fair to any CD. But at this point in my life, money is tight and the 4 days in Ptown feels like escape to paradise.

Terri,
You know Fantasia Fair has scholarships they give out to those that are in need. You can write to them pleading your case and if they will grant around 4 scholarships to those they feel are of the greatest need.
