How do I learn how to cross dress successfully. I have wanted to do it for a while, and no one knows how to help me. It is like really important that I know how to look pretty.

I mean, I really want to know lie really bad. It is important.

Yours,
Jeanne

It's a never ending process. Best advice I can give aside from being on the forum is to find an accepting GG and have her help. The other option would be a support group and seek advice there. A lot of the girls there have probably been doing it for awhile and will be glad to help.

Hi JeanneLouise, apart from learning everthing you can from here, or finding another c/d or GG to help you, the best way would be to go to a transformation specialist.
I don,t know where you live, but there seem to be quite a few around, so i would try googling it for your area.
Either way, it requires lots of practice and finding out what looks good, before most of us are completely happy with how we look.

You might want to do the traditional TS and Drag Queen thing of finding a Drag mother/TS mom to teach you your stuff and how to transition (if that's what you want) or just how to emulate a female.

That is how I got help with my gender stuff eventually. I found me other young women to teach me and show me the ropes of being a TS.

Practise, honey, practise!

it's an art it takes forever to learn. but here are the basics

1 ) shave everywhere a clean hair free body is a good start

2 ) a good waste clincher or corset to at least try to get the female shape

3 ) panties and pantyhose and a bra that fits

4 ) comfortable heels or shoes or boots that fit * add two sizes to your men shoes *

cloths that look appropriate for your age. a good wig and makeup.

find something you would like to wear find a dressing service and go they will show you the best way to dress and do it right.. it's money well spent ...

Choose the style of clothes you like, learn your size, then get the best wig you can afford. Go to web sites of the different cosmetic companies, most of then have great how to videos. Then comes the hard, but fun part, practice practice practice! Their is no short cut, every little girl, learns to do her make up by doing. If you have watched a preteen girl, her makeup will often be over done, but after a while she Will learn what is to much, and what works just right, it's really the only way to learn. A pro can do it for you, but you have to do it for yourself to learn.

I second this book! Lacey is an amazing individual who supported me back in the 90s when I was first discovering myself :)

I cant say enough good things about her!

Everyone of us did! I've been dressing for 10 years. Compared to most others here, I'm a rank beginner! I learn something new here, almost every day!

It takes real women 5 to 10 years to learn how to look good. If they EVER figure it out!

Don't rush what can't be rushed! Enjoy the process. Relax, have fun! That's what CDing is supposed to be, after all!:)

Oh My Yes! Practice!! Hey dear, I was in the closet most of my life before I had the time freedom to experiment until I looked good enough to try public. Don't rush but don't strive for perfection either. Go girl watching and see what appeals to you. Try shopping at 2nd hand or Goodwill stores, if you don't like something, donate it back and not much money spent.
A digital camera and tripod will help alot. Sometimes I'll think I look great, then look at photos later and,.....What Was I Thinking!
No one here looked fine on their first try or even, I'll guess, the first few years.

Along with all of the above, don't try to dress to young. After all of the times I have dressed I think I got everything just right once. :GD: I guess thats what makes it fun
