First off I need to admit something:

I've been on the CD forums for a while now and have been calling associating with the group for the whole time but I never really considered myself a CDer. To put it simply,my whole life I've hated myself and have hated being male. Counselors have told me in the past about me possibly being a transsexual (pardon if I misuse any terms) but I've always been lost and worried when it came to do doing anything. Since being on these forums I've become far more accepting of myself and I thought it was time to start on who I am. My questions are these:
-I really have no idea how to go about getting a counselor. How do I do so? (Seattle,WA)
-Besides this forum are there any support groups I should look into?

Pardon the questions but I'm kinda lost. Thanks!

One of the finest centers around is in your backyard, it is the Ingersoll Center. They have TG and TS employees and counselors to discuss any issue. Try them, I think you will find a very supportive group.

I know of 2 great Web resources that can help you find a local counselor with experience with gender issues:
http://www.lauras-playground.com/gender_therapists.htm
http://www.drbecky.com/therapists.html

And there's always the absolute reference for everything TS:
