I'm absoulutely thrilled and terrified. Thrilled that I'm actually going to go through with this, terrified that at the last minute something will make me inelligable to get them. I did the hard part, gave up a 28 year smoking habit 30 days ago, not a single puff, borrowed, or relapse. I want this that much. And I'm scared that after sacraficing for everyone else my whole life that the one thing I want ( today at least <grin>) will be denied me. Probably wouldn't feel this way if I had the right brain chemistry. Carol.

I've experienced a lot of the feelings that you're describing - it's a big step but it's also amazing to sit back and realize that you're making progress (of course it's only been one day for me, but still it's a change in the right direction).

I went with the patch because from things that I've read and heard from other people it delivers a more steady tolerable dose of estrogen, and my doctor said that since dosages can be lower there is less risk of adverse effects, etc. But the patches are a lot more expensive than pills so there are pros and cons.
