Mine was from the girl who introduced me to dressing when I was 9 and she was 14. I have told this in another thread but briefly my parents had friiends on the coast and we used to stay with them. Their daughter was 5 years older than me and she used to make me wear her clothes when we were alone at night. Her name was Deborah Anne and I often wonder what became of her as my parents suddenly broke up with hers when I was about 11 and I often suspect it was because it was discovered what was going on though nothing was ever said in the family about it.
Anyway I am grateful to her as it has stayed with me for past 50 years now, though some of the times pre internet days were traumatic.

As I was progressing through the different degrees of crossdressing it just seemed that it was time to give myself a name. I just started playing around with different combos and came upon Trisha Nicole Carson. Yup. I gave myself a first middle and last name. And this is only the second time that I have used my full name in public.:battingeyelashes:

If I had had a daughter her name would have been Rebekah. Troppauer is the last name of my Grandmother who I still miss very much after 21 years.

My mother used to joke with my brother and I about what our names would have been had we been FAB; ever since the first time I heard Angel Marie, I thought it to be the most beautiful name.. wished it was mine. When I ended up having a son I realized I couldn't use the name for him, and so it became mine. Someday I hope I can tell her how beautiful it really makes me feel. :)

Raquel June

Racquel June Adams, because when I bought a wig to start going out, I kept coming back to Raquel Welch wigs, my favorite painting is Flaming June, and my middle name is Adam.
Before I started going out, it never even occurred to me to have a femme name. My boy name is actually a cool girl name. In 6th grade I knew a girl who had my same first and last name.
I always liked the names Michelle, Alexis, Chastity, Rain, and Idalys, but none of them really seemed to fit me.
Alice Torn
11-07-2008, 06:26 PM
I first chose Alice, as there was a tall farm girl down the road from me, who would never go out with me.. I always like Lucille Ball, as she dressed in modest skirt outfits, and dresses, cut at the knees, yet showed her legs, in hose, and heels. She did have shapely long legs! My middle names are Louise, for Tina Louise from Gilligan's Isle, and Alice. Ginger was tall, with great legs, too!
Deborah Jane
11-07-2008, 06:45 PM
After i came out to my mum she told me Deborah Jane was going to be my name if i,d been born a girl.
So now it is :)
Emma26
11-07-2008, 07:37 PM
Emily would have been my name had I been born right.
I go by Emma to my friends mainly to avoid confusion with other Emily's. (kind of a weird reason, I know. XD But all of my friends know other Emily's but no Emma's.)

My name came from a telemarketing phone call. The girl making the call had a heavy southern accent and when she said her name it sounded so pretty. I adopted it for my femme name. :)

My name cam from the Women I want to be. I used to work with her and I was always in total AWW of her beauty, so I figured if I can't be her I can at least borrow her name. I wish I d tell her.
It seems I'm influenced by the movies. My wife pointed out to me that I suggested the name for our first daughter after we went to see Love Story. Tess probably comes from Working Girl, one of my favorite movies. It also has the same number of letters as my first name.

Crystal Galadriel
11-07-2008, 10:56 PM
I picked Crystal myself, I've always liked the name. I felt like I needed a last name of some kind and found Galadriel on www.babynamesworld.com by searching for feminine meanings. It's not the name I'd pick for a last name, but Crystal really hasn't developed far enough to need a last name yet, I don't think, so it'll do for now on the forums.

Terra_Branford

Terra came from a shortening of my usual online name, which itself came from a Final Fantasy character from long ago. Actually, I'm using that character's name in full as my name on this forum, so I suppose it's come full circle now.

My hunny uses Jamee as that was his name when he was born, since he was adopted at a young age and was given HIS name by adoptive parents, this was his one connection to the unknown birth mother. and my name says it all,,,I am Jamee's Girl!

Funny thing is before finding this place I never though of giving myself a name.
I started thinking & decided to not use a name that was already "taken" by family, friends, old girlfriends, ect.
I though it would be weird to come out to someone I knew & when/if asked what my name was, to tell them it was the same as theirs. Even if the reason for picking it was not because of them.
I have always liked the name Samantha
and other girls names that tend to get shortened to guys names.
I have a few GG friends who only go by the shortened guy version of their names.
So after thinking I drifted away from the name & ended up coming back to it in the end.
My last name is part of my Scottish side.
Its usually spelled MacCormack or McCormack, But I like the Irish spelling McCormick better.
I really didn't think to much about a middle name at first.
Not many fit,but I ended up with Ann.
It is a middle name that a lot of my family has used.
Funny thing happen that I didn't plan on, lol
I always liked my first name Samantha.
I came up with my last name McCormick by chance.
And added the family middle name Ann later.
Now put it together: Samantha Ann McCormick
And my Initials turn out to be S.A.M.
I though that was rather funny.

11-08-2008, 11:39 AM
I came up with Chloe one day at work when me and some co-workers were throwing around what you think you would look like if you were the opposite sex.
My mother always told me that if i were a girl, she would have named me Candis, but i never thought it would work for me.
So i threw out a few names, and everybody said they could see me as a Chloe.
funny thing is, now they actuly get to see me as the person they helped to name, from time to time, lol.:heehee:

Alandra
11-08-2008, 11:37 PM
I just came up with it in a moment while creating the log in to this site, in fact. I've always considered me "Just me", and it is other people who need a name. But since they need one, I guess I can oblige.
I'm something of a linguist. I SHOULD be doing something with languages instead of computer bloody networks. But hey, following the money was a necessity at the time.
Alan is my middle name.
"andr" is a greek prefix that means "man". This is where we get words like "android" and names like "Andre" & "Andrew".
The suffix "A" makes anything feminine in most latin-based languages.
So... "Alan" is me... but not recognizable to most. "Andr" means "man". And the ending "a", means "female twist" in many languages. Put it all together... it's me as both man & woman. It's not the prettiest name. But perhaps the most representative of me & where I'm at.

My Wife used to always joke with me and called me Josefina which is spanish for Josephine which is three letters onto my real name, I always joked with her and she always called me that Josefina so when came the time I dressed in front of her she said she was definitely right about my name. After she passed in 2001 and I told my daughter she said that was between Mom and Youas she said and she started to call me Joann as she said it would sound better and I agreed and stayed with Joann and even added a middle name of Marie. I laugh as when I do something funny she calls me Joann Marie and I laugh as when she does something funny I called her Anne Marie and our last name and she laughs and says that she knows when I say that she is in trouble. My wife god rest her sole is probably laughing at that now. Joann0830:battingeyelashes::heehee::love:

My name Kristine Dyan came from 2 sources. My sister's name is Christine. When we were young and played together, her friends called her Chrissy.I always loved that so much, I wanted to be called Chrissy also. The other part Dyan is my favorite cousins name.We were close growing up until they moved away.So I adopted both names to be my own.Kristine Dyan
Michelia
11-09-2008, 09:17 AM
Michelias are a family of trees some of which I have had in my yard and lamented their destruction with the hurricane. I have always loved them. Some of the worlds most expensive perfumes come from them. They are relatives of the magnolia. I always wanted a daughter and I would have named her Michelia. It did never happened, so I adopted the name.
Jonianne

Joni Anne
Joni (pronounced Johnny) is a derivitive of my real name Johnny. I wanted my name to sound the same, because whether enfemme or not, I am still me.
Anne is from the story "Anne of Green Gables", adapted for television by PBS and Wonderworks, one of my favorites!
anouk
11-09-2008, 12:15 PM
The story is rather long and complicated
First I wanted be called Katariina which name I like a lot. Then I had to add another name (it happened to be Anu...) to it because the name was already taken in one my regular sites. But finally I made it still shorter, because the longer version was too hard to spell for some of my yankee sisters, who started to call me Anuk. So Anouk is a modification of the former addition and only the letter k reminds us of the original name.
cheryl

Charlene would be the closest to my real name. But I went with Cheryl because I like the sound of it better. Plus I am a fan of Cheryl Crow.

Mine just popped in my head one day. I got all dressed up, and was looking at myself in the mirror, and out of my mouth flew "you look good today, Sarah" Messed with my head a bit, because I had never even thought about what my fem name should be, yet it fit, seemed natural. I instantly thought, well, if Sarah is my first name, then what's my middle name, and "lynn" floated through my head before i even finished the thought.
Carole Anne Allen
11-10-2008, 09:30 PM
If I had been born a girl I would have been called Carole- so I adopted that as my given name. I chose Anne as my middle name because I liked it, and it seemed to go well with Carole. Allen is my real surname. Carole Anne Allen seems to flow well together- and I think it suits me. :ukflag:

My actual femme name is Krystynna Sylvia MacAllister, and that is derived from my twin sisters first name (with a slight change in spelling), middle from me just because, and last from the scottish clan we supposedly came from. Its the one I use if I want to go out to do normal activites en femme (shopping, the mall etc).
MY performance/stage names are:

Portia - because I like the car (No, I don't have one and I know it's a play on sounds) and would like the same curves on me. Also, Portia De Rosi to me is a good aussie export.
The Honey came about because Portia was already taken and I really liked the sound when you say it out loud.
If it wasn't for this site, I probably wouldn't have picked a name as I am "in the closet having fun". Also, if it wasn't for this site, I probably wouldn't be as "out of the closet" as I have become. :heehee: But I am a lot more comfortable living in my own skin I might add. Thank you to everyone here.

Some time ago my wife and i were at a local club and as part of of a competition names were being drawn from a hat. My name was drawn but instead of Mark, the hostess called Margaret against my club badge number.
Although my wife thought it was funny at the time, I didn't let on that I could get comfortable with Margaret.

Back when I was "testing the waters" with my GF, I would threaten to wear a tutu and tights and call myself "Sally", and she'd threaten that if I ever did that, she'd shave her head and call herself "Merv". Little did she know.....
I'm not that big on the name "Sally", but I think it's a fun way to preserve a fun memory. I know, I got her name wrong in the screen name :( But, it's an easy mistake, haha

Well this will probably freak everyone out, it does me when i think about it for too long . . .
When mum and dad heard the news they were gonna start a family everyone was 'overjoyed' etc ( the usual )
My nan ( god rest her soul ) from my mum's side of the family did the usual congratulations kiss, hug etc etc and supported my mum through a difficult pregnancy
At some point ( i don't know when ) she felt my mums abdomen and felt baby kick and said that's a boy ! - and sure enough out 'popped' my older bro
Then mum fell pregnant again, nan felt her tummy and said it's a girl - and out 'popped' my sis ! - so nan was 2 for 2 ( freaky or what ? )
So when mum fell pregnant AGAIN ! and nan did her 'tummy trick' and paused thought for a bit and said 'i'm not sure ... but i think it's a girl' mum and dad promptly picked out some girls names
BUT .... out I 'popped' - doh !
However nan redeemed herself and got my younger bro right ( 3 outta 4 has gotta be some kind of 'insight' and not just 'law of averages' thing)
Anyway choosing my femme name was a 'no brainer' use the name mum and dad were gonna give me ( when nan said 'it's a girl' ) and use nan's surname !
So it's Julie Sewell, shortened to Jules - which can be Julie or Julian, just in case someone ( who know's about Jules uses it at the wrong time - ie around those that don't )
Freaky story ( if you try and analyse it ) eh ?

For my 1st name I went through the alphabet until I found one that I liked(it took about 2 seconds lol). My 2nd name comes from that lovely "rustling" sound some clothes make when we move around in them. I simply changed rustle into Russell, & ended up with my full female name.

I took my mother's best friends name I had such a crush on Ruth when I was a young teenager. At that time I also started dressing in mom's things. One day I was playing with I makeup trying to do my eyes as Ruth did them. It was at that time I realized that as much as i wanted to be with Ruth I also wanted to be like her. So I took her name as my own.
