Someone was suppsoe to bring me some cigarettes...but failed to show....

I'm all made up face clothes etc...so I said screw it..got into the car and headed to the stre....did the drive through (hey it's baby steps here). Pulled up and this young girl cme up to the window asked for my cigarettes and she got them gave mechange...as I was putting it back in the purse I looked back at her and she had that look like she made me or wasn't sure exactly what I was...anyway my first contact dressed I've survived so all is well. Now let's see what will be my next step...going in a store I'm guessing...

Wow, Steph! That is so cool! Now the acid test: go back to the same place in drab when the same girl is there and see if you get any reaction. Do it within a day or so to give her less time to forget the incident.

My first time out, I meet some gurls for dinner. I was so nervous! Even though it was a T-friendly place, still in public. Well, by the end of the dinner, I was so relaxed as I felt I was passing pretty well, one lady gave me a wink and a smile. On the way home, I stopped at a major chain food store for a few items. No one to hang onto! No looks or stares, I did it:D
Yes, baby steps, but when you're looking good, it just gets easier. My biggest fear is from the car to the back door which faces my GF next door.

The drinking resulted in to many hangovers and that was along long time ago...if I drik threee times a year that's a lot and usally it's only out at dinner...

Wild women???? well that was up until I met my wife and then she put some kind of curse on me...not one woman hit on me after my wife came along...plus the wild ones got way to expensive anyway.....

smoking??? well I've always had this fatalistic attitude anyway....came with my profession I guess....

I've done that ... both enfemme first and drab second and visa versa... It's a hoot!!!!

I do not see the point in trying to get Sherry to go back to the same store, you got that look from the clerk because you were nerves and she pick up on it but I do feel that you need to do it again but try another store and have more confidence in your self and you will see the difference.

To all the non-smokers - You don't ralise that we addicts need our tobacco. many lives have been spared horrible deaths cause we keep smoking. If we have to go without, someone would die. :devil:

Now Sherry, that is cool, I think the next outing you should do is to go to the oxygen patient area of the hospital and smoke a cigarette, but make sure you do so en femme. :heehee: Oh gyod that would be hilarious!

Who said I was "nerves"....I was OK with it...it was just I was 4 hours since I ran out ANd was wasn't going to take off all my make up just to go and get some smokes....and besides why would I want to go back and see what this clerk thought....she wasn't anywhere close to being "wanting to see her again"!!!!! sorry but there has to be something redeaming feature for a return visit.....

Congrats Sherry. If there was one thing that would force me to go out in public it would be those damm cancer sticks. Yeah, I know it's bad, I've quit both before (smoking and CD'ing) several times but both have returned. Heck, my GP and chiropractor smoke. They tell me smoking isn't bad if done in moderation.

The clerk may have looked twice because she thought something seemed a bit off but may not have actually read you. sounds like another success to me!

If you go back in drab she may figure it out and you would have outed yourself for no reason.

Congratulations! The "look" she gave you may have been what you perceived in your mind and not what she may have been thinking. She could have simply been looking you over, your dress, hairdoo, or nothing at all. When we first go out our biggest fear is being made and so we interpret many looks and gestures through that filter. Go out with confidence and repeat to yourself you are a woman and act accordingly and remember the filter in your mind.

Taco Bell down the street - maybe I will dress up one evening drive there and order some Tacos and a Burrito - since I don't know anyone who works there - heck what can I lose? Nada. The look she gave me was along the lines of "huh"????...it wasn't one of exact look at that guy dressed as a girl look...I think she might have suspected "something" but wasn't sure exactly what that something was....just my humble opinion as a professional non-verbal body lanugue reader....trained professionally to read and interput people's non-verbal responses.....

Small steps girls...but steps never the less....Rome wasn't built in a day!!!!
