Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering, it seems like I see a lot of conversation here and there related to East and West MA people and things, and I was wondering: Does anyone have any recommendations of experienced/good councilors or Therapists in the Western Massachusetts area related to CD/TG issues?
TIA for any input. :) :hugs:

I'm not sure if you knew about these sites. They provide a list of therapists known to be specialized in gender issues:
http://www.drbecky.com/therapists.html
http://www.lauras-playground.com/gender_therapists.htm
I'm sorry I cannot provide live feedback for MA-based therapists, being based on the West Coast. But I found my own therapist in these pages and she's great. Most people can find this awkward, but a transwoman friend of mine actually "shopped" for her therapist, trying 2 or 3 different ones for a session or two until she found one she was comfortable with.
My own therapist is less a classic counselor and more like a transition coach, reminding me of things that I might not have considered as important. And of course, she regularly asks me to express my feelings about the process, so that I can be sure that this is still where I want to go.
Good luck, sister!

Angel Marie...I go to Joanna Frost in Holyoke. She's just a couple miles from the Mass. Pike a stone's throw from the Holyoke Mall.
She's a gender specialist and is wonderful. She herself went thru transition I believe around 20 years ago. I highly reccommend her.
