Is there anyone here who can personally recommend a good therapist/counsellor in the North Wales/Chester region of the UK or further afield if necessary? Preferably someone with decent experience of transgender-related issues.
Or if not, can anyone give me some general advice on how to go about finding a therapist/counsellor?
Thanks in advance for any help :)

Hi Senban,
It's funny, I answered a similar request for someone based in NE US (see http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94685). The international lists are more precisely:
http://www.drbecky.com/therapists01.html
http://www.lauras-playground.com/intgender_therapsits.htm
There seems to be some resources in Liverpool and Manchester. The closest gender specialist I could find for myself is 25 miles from my place.
Good luck in your search! :hugs:

Oh Melanie, you're my heroine :hugs:
Some great places to start my search there; Liverpool is just a short drive from where I work :)

Oh you girls are awesome!
I've got so many leads to follow up now, it's fantastic :) I've been kind of hovering round a little, trying to find somewhere to start, getting lost and disheartened a little and now someone has pointed me in the right direction.
I can't thank you girls enough :hugs:

Hi Sen,
Thats what trans girls and boys should do, help each other where we can. I have ran many online support groups for transsexuals and transgendered people in the recent past, but as interest wained I gave up. I have lots of files on my computer on UK Trans rights in law, employment and healthcare. If you ever need any just e-mail me.
yours
