Ok. so I'm just really accepting where am I am with all this. It feels right, but I'm learning.

Frankly, I want to leave my nice clothes in the house, get myself one of those soccermom denim jumpers I've hated until now, a pair of cork clogs and get with all the garage projects I've neglected. Two motorcycles, two boats, a Toyota four wheeler... the usual.

Any other ladies take their act out to the workshop?

oooh I can get some tights and colorful leg warmers!! I'm liking this idea better and better by the minute!!

I do sometimes, but not very often. I have learned that if you want to be left alone in your projects, you will always get help no matter what. That said, I have wanted to be dressed during most of my garage projects, but the fact that I am still closeted keeps those occasions to the bare minimum. I have enjoyed the few times I have gotten away with it, though. Extreme cold nights sitting on my tractor blowing snow in bra, forms, hose. So many layers it couldn't be noticed, lol. I'll do that again this year.

Layering in the cold... been there, done that. Hides a world of sins, doesn't it?:D

I'm a solitary guy anyway... the odds of someone popping in are nil.

I feel like I'm tapping into something and I want to take broaden this and see what I can accomplish.

A lot else aside, it seem any shoe with a heel is a pretty effective trigger for me. Perhaps I could try going pretty straightforward aka drab, but with a jacked up pair of shoes.

Back when i lived at home with my parents, I noticed that anytime I did anything "mainly" that it just drove my desire to dress that much more. I'd love to have a garage and tinker with things in fem mode, imagine working under your car with legs and heels sticking out from under it and then someone walking in thinking a hot girl was working on the car, and that hot girl being you, :daydreaming: that would be nice

Hi Dina
Well I under dress quite a lot , I am sure that is not the same but it does give me lots of time to enjoy my feminine side when I am working at my business , and also around the house whether it is mowing the lawn , doing yard work or cleaning or riding my motorcycle.
We all have situations that are a little bit different , and I would say try to enjoy yourself , dress in what you are comfortable in and have fun doing your projects !

I keep all my girly things in the house, nothing worse than saw dust down my cleavage.

I renovated a bedroom mostly in drag. I found every noise made me jump and look outside and the doorbell ringing drove me nuts. In short it made me more paranoid about getting caught. Adding to my stress level bad: feeling free to be what I am nice. The room came out super nice also.

Ok, maybe it's my rural roots, but I've no problem envisioning a woman with a shovel, wearing rubber boots n denims, doing what needs to be done. Seen it, worked and lived with it.
It's not all about that life of luxury and decorum. Its about taking my 'self' anyplace I want to go and dressing task appropriate.

I meant it when I suggested a funky denim jumper and some cork platforms. Work clothes, but in this case, gender specific duds. The women farm hands wouldn't have worn a dress, but in generations past, they would have.
Anyone know the European classic painting, "The Gleaners"? Think of traditional Amish garb. The work has to be done.... we're fussing about what is to be worn while doing it.

I'm not likely to ever wear any Fredricks or Victoria's out there... well visibly, anyway.

Can't say I've ever work in the garage dressed up, but I do race from time-to-time in heels. More as a bragging point than "crossdressing." :D

I frequently dream of working in the garage while dressed (minus makeup). I'm hoping that my SO will become comfortable enough with my dressing to allow it. Right now, we're in the 'not in front of me' stage (which is much better than the 'not ever' stage), so I'll take things slowly.

I've done several chores partly dressed up. Kinda like living the real deal. I don't want to do full time femme. Certain house work, and once an outdoor grilling meal. With enough layers to not be obvious, but I know what I'm wearing. Most garage projects would just mess up a good nail job anyway.
Moving about in ordinary tasks helps acting natural when it counts.

I work in my garage while dressed all the time. I have several old fem jeans and tops that I wear for dirty garage jobs. I keep the door locked so someone can't just walk in on me. I have been doing this for years and the only problem I have ever had is the occasional broken nail. Several years ago I finished restoring a 68 Charger and I did almost all of the restoration while dressed. This made the job a lot more fun.

I wear pantyhose and panties quite often with just coveralls on over them in the shop or outside now that its cooler.

I was out there doing my thing when I remembered your remark... sure, let's call it an oil change.
Sea change would work, too. :)

I just wish I had a garage to work in. all I have to work in is the great outdoors and it is really cold now.

I've done a lot of work en femme on the condo I bought. In the distant past I also built stained glass windows (I was in the business) while dressed.

Really, there isn't much I want to do that I wouldn't rather be dressed up while doing. If you have the opportunity to dress up and do something, go for it!

My enclosed garage is detatched and unheated. I have a rediheater that does a great job but it takes a few minutes to take the edge off.
