Well my wife and I had been shopping all afternoon yesterday and it was like 5:30 and she just realized that I was missing the Steelers game on TV and I hadn't complaigned at all.. So she was trying to rush and get me home to see the last half...

We were in Target and heading back to the checkouts.. Walking past the makeup isles when she said.... "Do you need anything?"... And I look around and all I can see is makeup... And I'm thinking.... "Yes.. To hell with football...". Lol. So I turn down the makeup isle and say "sure".....

Well it didn't take a split second for her to grab my arms and spin me back into the main isle while simultaniously saying "nooo.... I ment shampoos and body wash..". Obviously she had been looking ahead a few isles while I was drooling over the makeup!! Hahaha

Probably not getting that lbd under the tree either?? Ohhh well.... Guess no Christmas miricle around our house this year.. Again.. Sigh..... Ho ho ho....

Ah humbug Christmas!!! I always watch the Exorcist on Christmas

At least the Steelers won!

And you probably have more make then any of us LOL but as Mr. Burns of the Simpsons says " I'd give it all up for just a little more" refering to his money.

I have no idea what I'm talking about.....

Arrrggg trickery I say!!

On the plus side, the Steelers did make an awesome comeback in the last 5+ minutes of the game, which happened to be the only part that I saw of that. I can't stand the Cowboys.

I've watched that show on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader tryouts. I think it would be awesome to go and do something like that. Maybe they should have a Dallas Cowboys Crossdressing Cheerleaders tryouts or something!

Yeah i know the feeling Karen. If we go to the mall she''ll go way out of her way to keep us out of ladies section or if we pass through she say ''keep going i don't want people staring at us.She would rather get me something by her self. The other day she bought me a skirt and pantyhose so i.m lucky.

Had a somewhat similar experience with my wife. As we passed the make up isle I turned in to look and she said-No! You have more make up than I do already. Have a Very Happy Holiday

My wife and I were in Kohl's shopping. While she was in the houseware dept. I was in the jewelry section looking for a pair of earings. I picked out a rather large pair of gold studs and asked the S.A. to retreive them from the case. As I was holding them up to get a closer look, my wife walked up. I asked her what she thought, before she could answer, I asked, "too Femmy"? She just smiled and replied, " When did that ever stop you"....the sales agent just smiled. By the way, I bought the ear rings......

Hmmm...I'd say if you can continue to avoid watching football and be willing to go shopping with her that might score you a few points, maybe get you further down the road to acceptance?

Too funny, I love it!!!

I consider my wife to be a tolerator (is that a word?) but for the most part, decidedly non-participating. I'm working with her to change that but if it happens, it'll be the stuff of another thread.

But getting back to one of your points, I have dreamed for years of being on the receiving end of a present for "Sara" from my wife. I often sigh year after year so I know what you mean.

I'm certain Karren believes the adage, "One can NEVER have Enough make-up."

And from a Dallas area resident - Way To Go Steelers!!

Oh yes, I'm a life-long Giants fan and that Cowboy loss clinched the NFC East title for the G-Men. Too bad they couldn't do it themselves; I guess it was just Philly's day. An all around good day in Pennsylvania.

The Steelers have a tough two weeks ahead of them they have to play the Ravens next week and the Ravens are doing well this year. Then the Steelers have to play the Titans who have the best record in the NFL this year with one loss all season, the Giants had the same record until this weekends loss to the Eagles. Then on the final week the Steelers have to play the Browns who suck LOL

Now if I offended anybody from Cleveland take it easy with the hometown pride thing, all I ask is that you be realistic about how well your team is doing it could be worse you could be from Oakland or Detroit LOL

That's why I dont have a favorite team because I bet the games and having a favorite team only clouds your ability to properly pick the outcome of games. So far I have won $5000 this year one weekend and missed winning $24,000 by half a point on a cardinals game.

How did you think I paid for my clothes, dentist chairs and nipple clamps LOL

The closest I came to that story, years ago, my wife and I dressed on halloween and I was in the pink fog for days after... while out grocery shopping, I was looking at a women and she caught me, I said, 'actually I was thinking how I'd like to have worn her shoes...'. I got -the- evil wife look, the one that said 'I'd rather you were checking her out, so I could get mad at you...and if I hear about how much fun halloween was one more time I'm going to claw you to death'.

Don't fool yourself, it will never happen, even if they do come around...when out shopping together you are expected to push the buggy and follow them while -they- do the shopping... you arn't allowed to browse for the latest eye liner unless they pick it up first and ask you if you want it... even then it is a test...do you say no or yes?....hmmmm.

I have to say I admire those of you out shopping in public. I have not gone that far yet. I do most of my shopping online. My wife has accepted this side of me as gracefully as she can. I try new items of apparel often. It is amazing to me how any of you can walk around in high heels, I tried and I just cannot seem to get the walking safely down. It is low heels for me.
I am now thinking about hair and wigs. My hair is too thin to grow in. I am not sure what kind of hair I would like yet.
Does everyone start off with a shorter wig?
I did try some makeup in the summer and it caused my face to become dry. Is there a way to fix this problem.
I never realized that women go through a lot of trouble to look nice. It is now more obvious to me how much I do not know.

just a quick question. how many of you have been out alone and just seen something that you would like and thought about or just getting it for the so just because its nice.

not every one in here but a few to alot seem to me, anyway to be "me me me me" but maybe thats just ummmm me :heehee:

often did that. so would get home to find a lil something wrapped up with a note saying "what the hell your worth it" (not anymore by a long shot):heehee:

NOW "football" get rid of the padding wear shorts no head gear and play rugby. is well the time you learned how to handle a ball with a bit of blood :heehee::devil:

LOL, Karren I completely understand that situation. Oddly enough, we were in Target 2 days ago after having dinner out, and of c ourse I had to walk through the shoe section(what girl doesn't) and my gg picks up a pair of open toe pumps for me and says,"Look, these are 70% off!" Now normally I get a tongue lashing for all the shoes I have at home, and then she does stuff like that to keep me totally confused. lol Nope, didn't buy them, I ahve enough black pumps.
Hugs, Jill

Since Georgia moved them to St. Louis, I don't really care much about pro football any more.

All our local ice rinks closed years ago, so no local hockey either. Wrong time of the year for pickup beach volleyball games.

Daughter's soccer games and college games r on Saturdays. So, that leaves me with NOTHING TO DO ON SUNDAYS!
Nothing, except-----------:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D!!!!

Ohh Karen,
I have read for some time about you wifes (lets say) lack of understanding. Ever since I have joined here I have seen this, and also seen how well you cope with this. Well while reading this thread I really got my hopes up for you. That is until I got to the end, What a bummer. For a hot second I thought I was going to read that the two of you were going to shop together for makeup. Ohh well things seem to be working for you the way they are, but darn it I really love a happy ending and I was hopeing that this was going to be one. Best of luck to you in the future.

If I had to choose between the two I'd pick ice hockey in a heart beat.. After all anyone can dress like a girl but not everyone can find the 5 hole with a slap shot from the point!! :)

And I'm not disappointed I'm not makeing any progress with my wife.. I feel its a victory that were still married and we have a worked out a system where I can enjoy my hobby from time to time.. Life is good!! :)
