Hi Everybody!

Well, as I mentioned a few days ago I’m going back into the ring and boxing tomorrow as a CD. I’ll be wearing panties, a while leotard, along with red boxing trunks with white trim. I’ve been coming out little by little by little, and tomorrow is my first time.

To be honest I’m more scared of losing my fight than coming out as a CD!! If you were to tell me a few years ago I would be boxing I would have said “your nuts!!” I remember watching my mom fight years ago and seeing her take some bad beatings and I never wanted that to be me, and now I like fighting, even though I have her luck and have lost a majority of my fights in the past.

Anyway, thanks for all of the support!

Geoff

Good luck. I think I'd make quite a good boxer. I'd be great a the "float like a butterfly" bit, but I don't fancy punching people much!

Oscar de la Hoy was beaten to a pulp at the weekend. One of the greatest boxers of his generation was decried for his (alleged) crossdressing and there was an element of glee in the so-called professional report I read on the fight. For all his achievements, I'm afraid many will only want to denigrate him for his private life and that many in the fight game already hate him for who he is.
Be careful - if you're going to publicly challenge long held stereotypes, you need to be twice as strong and ten times as brave as your opponents!

One of the things I would have thought you couldn't do crossdressed!

Goodluck, I hope you fight your corner in both senses!

wouldnt that antaganise him and make him fight harder? or he will be that shocked you will knock him out first round. :D

must be carefull that the boxing people dont think its a ploy to put the other guy off and call the fight. maybe send them anon email first asking? :)
good luck and kick his ass sis :)

You can't loose, if he wins you can say "so what, you only beat a crossdresser". if you win you can say, "you ain't sh.., you let a crossdresser beat you up".

Have a great fight. Don't forget to renew your lipstick between rounds, that should give you a good edge.

Good luck Geoff. You have more courage than I do. I would never try boxing while dressed or not. Just too barbaric for me but to each his own.

I have never understood boxing - seems odd to set out to injure someone . . .
However, I totally applaud your decision to be you whatever your chosen persuit.

I really hope you dont get hurt and have no need for concealer!

Hi Ladies,

Well, as you can tell by the title I lost my fight yesterday by TKO in round 4. And while I lost, all was not lost. I did go out dressed in women’s clothing I wore one of my mom’s old white leotards that she wore when we would exercise, and when she was fighting. And since I ALWAYS Fight and exercise barefoot I had my toes done in red toe nail polish. My opponent didn’t say much and the fight for the most part was clean.

Round 1 was pretty much and even exchange of punches and nothing major with that round being an even draw. Round 2 was the same but in the final minute of that round my opponent got me in a corner and went to work on my ribs, I was never so happy to hear the bell ring as I could lip back to my corner. Round 3 I just took a bad beating and suffered a cut above my left eye, and fell to the mat. I did manage to get back up but I just barely got up in time. My trainer wanted to stop the fight but I told her I had to go on., when my mom was fighting she never quit and she took some pretty bad beatings. Anyway, I went in the 4th and final round and it was a bit more of the same but I did manage to get a few shots in. However, I took a brunt of the punches and fell to the mat again and while I did make it up in time the referee stopped the fight.

I did get looked over by the doctor and I’m fine just very sore!! And my opponent was clean and didn’t take any cheap shots. I was surprised because I always fight barefoot and a majority of my opponents have shoes on and they ALWAYS step on my toes!!

Anyway, sorry I didn’t win maybe next time.

Geoff

It sounds like you're philosophical about the fight itself; just another match.

How do you feel about your decision to return to the ring?

Those pix were proven to be fake.

My mistake Amanda, although in my own defense I did say alleged).
Even still, in the time it was believed they were real, the reaction from some was exactly what many cd and tg people have had to put up with in the past. The report I read said DLH had been 'undressed' by his opponent for seven rounds - I don't think I've ever seen that word used in a fight commentary before.

The most important thing isn't whether you won or lost, your attitude about the whole ordeal says alot about you. We can't win all the time and loosing graciously is a big attribute to have believe it or not.

You gave it your best shot, there will always be someone tougher, prettier, smarter etc... , just be you and like yourself for who you are:thumbsup:

My advice, if you get to 0-20 maybe you should try another sport?, just kidding:heehee:
I got alot of respect for you kid for how you fought that fight:thumbsup:
(I can call you kid, I'm older than you, lol)

If you really enjoy the sport and want to continue, practice practice practice.
Karren Huttons' gonna be disapointed there's no before and after pics to see:heehee:

CD Kid,

Thanks for the fight write up!

Great learning experience, stepping into a ring and seeing what you can do under pressure. You'll just get better from here if you stay with it and work on your skills. Bet ya!

Comments:

In round one:

Trading punches is not the goal. Either let him punch your guard and waste his energy, or, step into him and teach him what you know. You can beat a better fighter by fighting smarter instead of harder. Really! Also, work on delivering power at the right time and the right distance. If your punches aren't discouraging the other guy, and he's not discouraging you, then neither of you are doing things right. Practice slowly on the heavy bag until your form is so good most your punches make a strong impression. Usually poor alignment(s) make for "exchanges" that go on and on because they are "taps" instead of hits. Think winning tennis - the fewer times you need to hit the ball, the quicker you get to the next match and the big trophy.

In round two:

Obviously, he got your past your guard (or, it wasn't there) and he managed to score some heavy hits. Not good for you. Work those arms to cover up and protect. Use your body mass and your footwork to get out of the corner and back into the fight. If you can't move, cover up and grab him when you see an opening. The referee will get on you, but you'll get some rest and probably cause both of you to break (Whew!) and maybe to be put back into the center. Work on improving your stamina so your guard is easy (easy?) to keep up all the way through each round. You do not have to have a great offense, but it's really important to have a solid defense when you're in a fight...

In round three:

You should not be getting cut. Again, your defense probably needs work. If you're not touching your face with your gloves and looking through your eyebrows (Chin down, see?) then you're open to hits and/or he can knock your "hanging glove" into your face - making you hit you! Listen to your trainer next time; better to come back and fight another day than get beat up and learn nothing because you're too dazed to see what's happening...

In round four:

Decent call by the referee. You showed good heart and you saved face, in a way, but somebody had to save you from yourself. Fine, it is a sport and the ref is there to keep it fair and SAFE for everybody.

Again, many congratulations on stepping in and giving it a go.

Stay with it.

I was fortunate, many years ago, to know a T who ran a martial arts gym. She transitioned while she ran the business and never lost a student. No matter what name she used or what she wore, she was always the master and teacher - always.

Good luck as you move up from CD Kid to CD Guy.

Oh, and next time how about wearing something more remarkable on fight day? Tiger Woods wears that red shirt on Sundays. I'm thinking some 4th of July, red-white-and blue trunks with sparkling stars and a soft white top for the next match.

Any one else have some fashion tips for the our duelist?
