Since I go out a lot I get a lot of exposure and, therefore, more than my fair share of attention, I have come up with a line that either seems to work or makes them (this can include guys or gals) go away scratching their heads. When a person on the prowl comes over I simply say "Be bright, be brief, be gone." If the person understands they comply, giving it their best shot and then leaves understanding that I have no real interest.
This happened with a stunning blonde just a few nights ago in a casino club. She saw me, headed straight for my table and asked if she could sit. Since I was alone and it appeared that she was also, I thought it would be nice to have someone sit with me. She started immediately asking minor questions, and then started the pursuit line of questions. I could see where she was going and just held up my hand and said , "Look, Melody, be bright, be brief, be gone". She smiled, composed herself and said. "You are gorgeous, I would love to have you go home with me", got up and went to another table.
It worked, I had a great time the rest of the night and went home alone.
