I went to Macy's tonight and was wandering around feeling lost, looking at clothes that were really expensive and off in the distance, a SA asks if I need help. I started to stammer and considered saying "No, thanks" but instead told her I was interested in buying things for myself. She immediately set out to work to find me a cute top/skirt combination (only bought a top) and waited outside of the men's dressing room to give her honest advice on things. I ended up buying a white top with ruffles on the front, a cami/panty set and two thongs. I love being able to have access to all of this! I never get excited purchasing men's clothes or underwear. Plus, she gave me extra discounts on top of everything and told me when she would be there. The nicest thing she said to me with regards to crossdressing was "Everyone is human, why should people be so weird about helping those who want to wear women's clothing and undergarments?" She used to work at a Macy's in Washington state and she helped a CD there and had fun doing it to boot!

:)

Anyone else with a great story involving a helpful/eager sales associate?

Wow good for you. I bet this means you'll be going back to that Macy's real soon. I know I would especially since the SA is handing out discounts. ^_^

I don't know so much about crossdressing, but I do love wearing femme gear.

Yeah I love Macys but I typically shop there enfemme mainly because all of our Macys have the mens and womens clothing and changing rooms on different floors which makes it hard dragging all those dresses up and down the escalators!! Lol.

I too love shopping at Macy's! I shop enfemme most of the time and have never had problem with trying on clothes and the SA's are very helpful.

Yes, I have fond memories of a very attractive girl at Macy's hosiery department. Plus a dreamboat at Cache that had me stammering and stuttering when she offered to show me they had some sexy outfits in my size.......

There is no Macy’s in here but we do have similar store. X-Mas time is the perfect time to walk thrue the women racks in all the stores. I make it look like I am looking for a gift to my GF, but deep down it’s for me. I am so anxious to see the day I will be able to go out the closet and go public. :o

Hi from a Newbe from S.E. Michigan, Several Dress Barns, have extra dressing rooms, and helpful staff. Shopping underdressed, with shoes, slip, and padded pantie. Even Tall Girl, David's Bridal are great, with discresion, not to offened their GG customers.

as i've said before, i have never had a bad reaction from sales assistants. they probably have seen much more than we realize.

In the LA Times, offer 25% off your purchases of $100 or more!

Sounds good! Except, I normally don't spend $100 IN 6 MONTHS, for clothes. ( I'll mail my coupon to u. if u like). :)

Me neither. And I've bought tons of things over the years. Most of the time they don't say anything and just act like I'm a regular customer. But when they do comment on the things I'm buying it's always positive and they never ask if it's for me or my wife/girlfriend.

Most of my shopping, of any type, is done dressed as a male Stephanie. In other words, my clothing is all feminine but my hair is a buzz cut and I wear no makeup! I am just a guy in a skirt! Even that way, if I go into the women's department in my local Macy's, Dilliard's, Nordstrom's the SA's routinely direct me to a dressing room in the ladies department. I have tried on everything from lingerie to dresses and have never used a men's dressing room, even though I certainly look like a man! The only comments I have ever heard are, " Nice outfit!," or "That sure looks good on you!" The last comment came from a lady young enough to be my daughter! She also told me that I looked real pretty in pink! It was a pink sleeveless dress which is now hanging in my closet!! I also shop at Avenue, and the SA's there usually reserve a dressing room for me when I walk in since they know I almost always buy something!! I have been told that this particular store has several CD customers, but I have not met any!

for the most part neither have I with the exception of a local target who "didn't want any perverts in their store"(the management of that one has been changed) and one local wig store that"did not cater to your type". needless to say i do not patronize the local targets or that one wig shop.

That is great that the sales girl wanted to assist you and that you were comfortable to let her. It wasn't so bad was it? I will have to try this myself. Thank you for the encouragement!
