View Full Version : If you could pass

What would you do? Would you go out and talk to your friends, co-workers, go out in public, etc? By "passing", I mean that you look nothing like your male self, you look like a GG and your voice sounds like a GG and even your SO (if you have one, or your best friend) couldn't recognize you.

I'd go out to a clothing store, ask for help first in a femme voice, and when something didn't fit and I would say in the lowest voice possible "This doesn't fit, do you have one in another size?" and see what kind of reaction I could get.

I am with you Lana. It would be interesting to see people's reactions when they find out. I would love to just go everywhere and interface with others with nosecond thoughts. I do that now when I feel secure that I will not run into someone who knows me. Do you get out much?

Oh no, I don't go out at all. I just wear women's clothing and lingerie, that's all. :)

If I could be sure that no one would recognize me (there is a thread somewhere here about shape-shifting) I would spend most of my leisure time out and about - shopping, restaurants, clubs, bars ... Maybe my wife would be willing to come with her new friend.

I know I can pass as a woman and I certainly don't look anything like my "male!" self, but it would be nice to have a feminine voice. If I try and adopt one it just ends up sounding rediculous so I try to keep talking down to a minimum (not easy!) if I'm not in a CD friendly pub or club.

Actually did something like that back in the summer.
I filled in for a guitar player in an all girl metal band The singer knew all about me and she asked if I would do it I said are you kidding sure.
Didn't get read all night, a pro did my makeup and I had more makeup on than I usually wear so I guess it covered better.
Used my girl voice all night talking to people, of course I didn't know anybody so that helped.
Got hit on at the bar by a guy in his 20's boy was he feeding me a line of B.S.I laughed and told him thanks but no thanks. Then the drummer came over and said "hey bud you hittin'on my girl?"Then he must have thought Oh crap these chicks are lesbians.
It is pretty cool when you're in a different city more freedom to be your femme self.
Getting the voice down isn't to hard really just work on it you'll figure out your range.Try to use the top of your voice box not the bottom where your guy voice is.
There was a thread about this and a link posted that helped me find mine.

Where can I find that thread Colleen? It sounds interesting...

I would go out everywhere very feminine.
I would buy very sexy lingerie and sexy dresses and try on each one at the store asking for assistance.
I would try to go out on the town and see if I could get anyone’s interest (male or female).

A long time ago, in a galaxy pounds pounds away I was very passable. I drove a few hours away and went to the mall. I also went to a few college campus'to do my homework and walk around. It was a rush, but a little nerveracking at first. If I thought I could pass now I would do it in a heartbeat.

Hmmm, if I could pass.........I'd probably just go out and enjoy being able to be myself for a change, and wear what I feel I should be wearing. Maybe enjoy the admiring glances of men AND women if I were pretty enough. Kind of something I've never, ever experienced in my own life. I've always wondered what it would be like to be attractive, instead of being ignored by the world. I usually feel, well, invisible. I hear about women talk about catching guys looking at them; but I've NEVER caught a woman looking at me with admiration or desire in her eyes...ever. I think it might be kind of nice for a change.

I'd go to exactually the same places that I go out enfemme now... Why SHOPPING!! Like what else is there?? Ohhh and out to eat and to the casinos... :)

Might not be as much fun as it is now since I love to see peoples reactions when I speak.. Or when they realize they just held the door for a guy.. Opppsssiieee.. Hahaha.

I guess for me passing has come to mean being accepted based on my outward presentation. If I happen to be wearing jeans and flats of heels and a skirt, I expect to be treated respectfully. I certainly don't fool many people visually and my voice confirms any doubts that I'm a guy in a dress. But as long as I'm treated like any other person I guess that I've stopped caring what someone else thinks and I have found that I think I'm being 'read' less often and I certainly am enjoying myself being out en femme a lot more!

If I could pass.. well ---- I would try two things. I won't say on what order though :)

a) Dress in the cutest denim mini skirt, sweater, and heels I could find with the most fememine undies and garter belt anywhere. The bra would definately show off my two best assets :)

b) Dress as a guy in a suit and tie and guy's underwear to see if any of the 'boy' can still be seen

It would be a deeply spiritual and psychological experience

If I could pass? I would go anywhere and everywhere! Shopping, clubbing, eating out, exercising in the gym, to the pool, the beach, try on wedding gowns just for fun, flirt (in safe environments,) and jus enjoy being who I am!

I am with you Lana. It would be interesting to see people's reactions when they find out.

The fun bit is when they've met you in girl mode, then you go back in boy (in my case butch biker, usually) mode - the reaction is usually total shock. :D

Just go.

Not all women, perhaps not even most of them - if you count all women - really present very well as young, attractive, feminine, well made up... They're just what they are and we accept them for the role they're playing. This includes the clueless, the hopelessly overweight, the old, the over-perfumed, the rude, the ones using walkers...

Most people take their cues on how to behave from YOU.

:yt:

Absolutely. I certainly (at 6'3" and 200lbs) don't pass, but I've done plenty of the things already mentioned above as fantasies?

It won't happen all at once, but you can get to a place where, as mary says, it's just ordinary? :)

if i could pass i would probably go everywhere. and i would do it all the time. OMG.

Passing is over rated all you have to do is blend, dress to where you are going, have the confidence to go where you want to, and act like you belong there . I do this go anywhere and everywhere. I go out locally not totally afraid to run into someone I know the neighbors have all seen me. I dont look that much different in "drab" as dressed.

Karen you are a STINKER!!!!!
A couple weeks ago, I went to the store I used to work at, passing out samples, for ovewr a year. I went up to people that I used to work with and they never guessed who it was. One guy asked if I had a brother? They haden't seen me for about 6 months. Even the one lady that didn't like me, and was responsible for my leaving, was very nice to me...BJ

This is my view completely, blend. If you don't look out of place, people will think that you belong. What I used to see, when going out with other CD'rs, was that we were always over dressed for the occasion.

I asked on of my friends from TriEss about this, and she said that if she could pass, she would go on cruise after cruise, wear the skimpiest bikini she could find, and see how many marriage proposals she could collect.
:hugs::love::daydreaming::o
She jokes that she would like to collect other types of proposals too, but doesn't want to encourage them. (Yeah, right.)
:violin:
She is totally hetero in guy mode, but loves the attention. She scares off less worthy admirers that get too pushy by talking about shopping at bridal stores. I'm afraid that one day someone will call her bluff.

Like Sally, I would be so happy, that I would not know what to do, but I would try to as much and go as much and be out as much as I could - I would probably feel like i had died and gone to heaven.

I think I would just go out more and do anything without second guessing it. I think you can do anything you want in any case, it is just convincing yourself to do it that is the problem.

I'd do a couple of things...

1)I'd go to Portland to Lola's Room at 80's night and dance the night away.

2)Go shopping at a local mall and see what kind of reactions I got from both boys and girls alike.

I only dress in my room away from everyone. So that would be a big leap for me. I just posted a photo as well. If you can see it, what do you think?
