Hi, you are new, I see. I suggest you do some searching on this topic and you will find more than you can read! At some point you will start to feel your breasts develop. Painful nipples are part of the 'rite of 'womanhood' if I may so term it and not offend the GGs who follow this website.
Bear in mind, once you grow little girls, they stay around! I mean, if you decide in a year that you want to have a male chest again, forget it, the sweet dears are there to stay. Please be sure you know what you want before messing around. best of luck, helen

Hi Crystal Ann
Early on it was extreme mood swings which were most noticeable, these meant I could be crying bucket fulls of tears, then be as happy as i've ever been, then be calmness itself all in same day, that went on for a few months. I still cry at the slightest things now in my 23rd month of HRT.
My breasts took about 8 months to really show signs of development, around that time male sex drive went too, muscle tone reduction and body hair reduction (upper body only so far) started at around the 18 month period, my face is seeing some roundness after 22 months, softening of the skin about now too.
Full feminization (however that is defined) takes anything between 5-10 years, it is a long term thing.
I know if my breasts are going through a growth cycle when they are tingly, ultra sensative to touch, watch out for that sensation it is an amazing feeling, as it signals change is happening.
xx
Best of luck on your journey
Stephanie

This is so true. You will probably lose that male musky scent. I know I don't even smell that bad any more after working out or working in the yard.
In addition to the obvious other physical changes, I don't "break out" much any more. It is very very rare to get a blemish.

Remember if it is what you want they are pe rmanent, the fatty part may reduce but they will ALWAYS be with you...
And remember when they get so painful to the touch or your wife is suckling them - endure....
My right one is growing again and almost full A with the left one - it's weird looking down seeing a matching set now - get used to waking up to perky breasts and feeling "Whoa, I have breasts" first thing in the morning.
And don't crane your neck looking down - I think I had to go to the chiropractor after about the 3rd month...:D

I started Hormones near the end of October and have been fortunate to already notice development. One thing to remember is that every girl is different. I actually noticed a sharp decline in moodiness (as in I had mood swings before starting hormones and after starting them the mood swings stopped). After about a month I noticed increased sensitivity in my nipples and slight breast growth. I currently have enough breast tissue that with a push-up bra (34A) I no longer have to wear breastforms - though with a regular bra I still need them. I've noticed thinning chest-hair on the breasts themselves, but not anywhere else - including the area between my breasts. My skin is noticeably softer and my face seems to be rounding out whereas before it was long and gaunt. Some other things you have to look forward to include sensitivity of the nipples to temperature. I was surprised to discover that cold weather can actually be painful. At one point, I barely brushed my nipple with my car's door one cold morning, and it hurt badly enough to make my eyes tear up.

Biggest have been the mood swings. It's been scarey and expensive at the same time these mood swings. I have broken 3 laptops simply because I lost my temper while working on things. Also, like others, it's easy to cry at things.
Sex drive is all but gone as well although it still works and I can get excited, it's just harder to achieve.
Breasts. Well it was several months when I started to notice changes. My chest sunk in quit a bit and it looked really weird before the growth really began. They just started to poke out a bit and seemed like they were always sore. They also stay cone shaped for quite awhile and then they will start to fill in more and get more rounded and normal. The pain comes and goes still and sometimes it's a sharp shooting pain. They itch beyond belief sometimes as well, why I have no clue.
Skin became smoother looking and body hair looks more finer. Like others have mentined, you lose the male smell as well. It becomes a weird smell, almost like something sweet. You'll smell it soon enough.

I have been on hormones since last March. Other than a mild headache the first 2-3 days, I had no 'bad' side effect. By the end of the week, the breast were sensitive and there was definitely something going on there. I did not expect it that fast.
Most other effects were more emotional, less moody, calmer, more attentive to surroundings, less aggressive, reduced libido. Only after six months, sex drive virtually disappeared although it still works when I get aroused, intercourse is not a priority anymore and it is harder to achieve.
So far it has been very good for me. But like the others pointed, make sure it is what you want because the longer you are on it, the harder it will be to back off. It also gets very addictive quickly.

Well, I started HRT right around nov. I haven't experienced the soreness or sensitiveness. I have noticed a fullness to my breasts and have measured out at 36B at this point. Weee, there are going to be some really green looking girls at the next social. I noticed a significant reduction in the rate of growth and amount of facial hair. It helps with the cover up, but nothing beats permanent hair removal. Sigh, time and money. As far as the emotional stuff, meh, not so bad. I think that the method of delivery has a lot to do with the mood swings. If you take the injectables there's a huge surge right after injection and the levels jump up and then taper down. A rough ride, and I'm not to sure of the benefits. I take a daily oral dose so I think that the levels are more consistent. But darn Spiro! The bathroom is your constant companion now, and I know where every one is on my route to work! I find that they actually calm me down. And I do feel things more, and deeper. But, lets see what happens in the next two months.
