We buy shoes clothing make-up and wigs, bras panties and lingerie, hand bags jewelry and perfume, we buy every thing that a GG would buy.

Just how much money the cross dressing community spend as a whole in a year, what if we stop buying clothing and the other things we love for a month will it be felt or even notice ?

What is the value of the cross dressing community in dollars and cents 50 million,100 million,1 billion
or money is just as good as everyone's money and if a store dose respect us then we do not shop there.

I'd say just last year about $2,500 and a mindboggling amount since 2002 when I first walked into a Lane Bryant Store. And then being that I still work a manly job I also have to maintain manly clothes maybe another $500 in mens clothes too. It vairly costly to be a woman or being feminine

I don't know. To me it's become somewhat irrelevant, since dressing has become more of a part of my day to day life style. I just find myself spending less money on "man's stuff" and more on woman's things, so I don’t really think about it. I just forgo buying new men’s clothes and spend the money on woman’s clothes.

I track my spending with Quicken so my fem clothes total for 2008 was almost $4600 thats down from last year at almost $5100. This doesn't count all the dinners and nights out to the clubs (out 2-3 nights a week) with the girls as well as any hotel stays when traveling to events. But I'm worth it!

Some where between $2,000 & $3,000 a year/// retiring in feb
that may put a kink in the operation or at least slow it
down a few notches. I should have enough clothes & shoes
to keep going for a couple years or so.
May need to ask the gov. For a bailout!!!!

I usually spend more money on female items than I do on male items in a year. My credit card statements will tell you that.

How much? I don't want to know; but not THAT much. More is spent on conventions and related expenses.

I don't know never really tracked it. I know that I am frugal as a man and as a women. So I know that if I can find it at a Goodwill, Salvation Army, or other thrift store I will. I have not yet bought some of my basics yet: wig, forms, and a decent supply of makeup. I am working on the makeup now and am pricing forms and wigs. I really do try to keep my expenses at a minimum.

I estimate that I spend about $2500 on clothes, make-up, jewelry, etc. I also spend another $1000 to $1500 on fem excursions.
I definitely spend more on fem clothing than I do on drab.

Today was a particularly spendy day for me - shoebuy.com got me hard earned dosh due to their 20% sale (one pair was $175!).

I won't worry about it until the credit card bill shows or I get my government wardrobe bailout check.

I'm sure the retailers count on it and really don't care as long as the money keeps coming in Hon.:)

I was trying to see if anyone know how much money we as crossdressers spent in a year as a whole.
You see money is power and if we crossdresser stop spending our money for a month will it be felt or even notice.

Looking this cheap costs serious money :heehee:

At least one SA would lose her job if Debs stopped spending, even if only for a short time!
Multiply that by everyone here and the retail economy would go into meltdown without us keeping it afloat!!

By being who we are and buying as we do, we are helping the world economy keep going :D

Thats MY excuse and i,m sticking with it!!!

More than I would like to know about.

I'm like Eva Marie - I really don't want to know - my spouse says whatever it is, its too much.

I had to start over during the past year - JoAnne came back after living in exile for 12 years and my "Great Purge of 95".

I am ashamed ???? to tell how much I have spent on JoAnne this year. Because of my financial ability (or my former financial ability due both to JoAnne's consumming desires and the stock market), and the fact that I had to completely start over, I would venture to say that I have spent $ 30-40K on JoAnne - she is an expensive bitch

Almost broke, but JoAnne is happy,

My wife says I spend way too much. I say I don't spend nearly enough.

Actually I spend maybe $500 average a year. I'm a crossdresser on a budget!

I tiptoed at first, and then flew out of the closet like an FA-22 on afterburners (VIVA SCC!!)!! I've probably spent in upwards of $5000 since I truly discovered my femme side! That also includes gas and vehicle maintenance for crossdressing road trips, as well as starting my femme wardrobe, etc.. I can now look at either a printed or online catalog and now tell myself "I ALREADY have a shoe like that in that color!". I can tell myself the same about skirts, dresses, etc., but I still LOVE to find that "shopping coup" that GG's laugh and giggle about for days!! I have to say, watch the budget, but HAVE FUN as well!!:hugs::drink: I've had a ball shopping at Chadwick's and www.katsdreamboutique.com .

The fact that my wife no longer can work makes if hard to spend to much but I must go a couple hundred a year on Angie. I know as a group it's got to be big bucks.:hugs:
