Hey, things will change I guess...there was a time when my S.O. would always think of my "otherside" each Christmas...sometimes Valentines Day and birthday as well..there would be makeup, pantyhose or a skirt etc for "fun times"...
I don't push the issue and look for her to make the next move...however there is no next move anymore...
Has this ever happened to anyone where the S.O. was once receptive to us and then went cold?

My wife is still in the "wrapping her head around it" stage. She is supportive, but is fearful of seeing my Bobbi side, as she's afraid it will shatter her image of who her husband is. However, we have gone shopping together, and she's made suggestions to me. Last Christmas, she got me several pairs of lacy panties, and this year, i found eye makeup remover in my stocking.
I'm not sure if she'll "go cold," as you put it, but i'm hoping that as time goes on, she'll be less worried about where i'm going, as i can promise you one thing, it's NOT going to be "away."
Ttfn,
Bobbi

Could be that some SOs, wives, GFs may not know what size clothing would fit us girls, but that shouldn't stop them from giving makeup, jewelry, or a gift certificate! For those of us that did not get any femme gifts, IMO now is the best time to go "after Christmas Sale shopping" and buy what we need!

I got only what I bought JoAnne for Christmas - my spouse thinks that all I bought for JoAnne throughout the year is enough for JoAnne - she may be right because JoAnne got a whole new wardrobe

Awwww... Mine had talked about coming to an arangement early one but that never really happened and I'm not pushing it at all.. So as long as she's willing to turn a blind eye.. I'm willing to keep it out of her face..

Well, I don't have an SO, but my GG best friend bought me nothing but girly stuff this year, and she bought me loads of little things, a nice ladies claddagh ring, earrings, perfume, body lotion, etc. I was also given a quite substantial gift voucher for Marks & Spencers from my cousin in the US, so myself and my best friend went on a shopping trip, and again everything I got was girly. So completely female stuff for me this year.

I've read comments from other CDs that this has happened in their lives; however, I don't know from my own experience.
Like a lot of other things, with familiarity the mystique wears thin or off. If you have an accepting/supportive SO, you shouldn't worry about it. Think about how you acknowledge or support your SO's predilections, hobbies, important behaviors.
Have you gotten her some fem things for Christmas? If you want her to present you with fem things, you might want to encourage that with the way you present her.
Of course, without knowing much more about what you're expecting and what your relationship is like, I'm just shooting in the dark.

I think Karren's answer about says it for me. My wife asked what I wanted for XMAS and I said something for Alice. She just sort of laughed and that was it.

I try to buy myself something for Christmas,'cause that's the only way it's going to happen. This year, my wife had earned $50 'Kohls Cash" for spending X amount at Khols.Had to be used within a week. She gave it to me, to buy some new clothes for work.Wellllllllll,I did pick something up for work, but whats a girl to do with a free shopping trip?Exactly!New body briefer, which I really needed. When I told her I bought something for me, and something for "me"---she rolled her eyes and walked away.Oh well---it was on sale!!:)
Can't say that I've had that experience yet! I am the sole income producer so that makes it a bit more my show.... Usually I simply exchange ideas about what I'd like to have and she volunteers to go shopping with me if I wish and if not, she'll surprise me with it...but if I didn't suggest or recommend it, it wouldn't get done.

My lovely R got me lipstick in a lovely deep grey shade, a pedicure kit, a blouse, a sweater, cute panties and a gorgeous pair of autumn-red patterned tights, plus a lavender-scented sachet for my "delicates" drawer. Spoiled rotten, I know.

Nothing is static or unchanging, especially the way people act. People's moods and tolerances tend to shift in waves-- who's to say that your SO won't indulge you for Valentine's?

My wife bought me stuff for a birthday once when I gave lots of hints, and it's never happened since. I would think she knew me better (and she's accepting, so it's not that). I've been keeping an amazon wish list, perhaps I need to stick some female clothing in it :-)

This is the first Christmas that my wife has ever given me anything feminine. She asked for some ideas for gifts, so I gave her some! I think she did okay! :)
I was even allowed to spend the day as Samantha!

Well, I haven't bought her the $30,000+ home renovation to install a specialized bathtub (that would lower the resale value of my house because few people want those kind). Other than that... pretty much as soon as she thinks of something, she goes ahead and orders it herself over the internet using her own salary (which is about 3/4 of mine but I pay for all the house-related expenses.) It's hard to find things for her she hasn't bought herself already and that she would use. e.g., the $500 necklace and ear-rings I bought her earlier this year are languishing in some drawer and what she wears are some $5 plastic earrings she found somewhere.
Total Christmas presents I received from my wife this year (for "either" of me): zippo, nil, nadda, none. I'll put them beside the total vacancy for the birthday presents she didn't give me this year either.

I would love my wife to buy me some fem stuff but she isn't there yet. she buys nice regular stuff, but I have figured out a better plan. I go out and buy things and give them to her to wrap up from Santa for me! Works for both of us!

My wife used to buy me things but I guess our tastes were just too different. To me it seemed she was buying me things that were rather dowdy looking, and I never wore them.

When I met my wife, we were still dating, I was invited for Christmas. They had a present under the tree for me and it was tagged with my name but my wife's sister shares the same name. When it came to opening presents I was given the wrong gift. It turned out to be panty hose of which I would have kept but then............well you know.
Since then one of my wife's sisters knows and this year I was hoping she would get me something special but didn't. Maybe next year. Keli

I'm a jack of all trades by nature, and I usually get tools for Christmas of some kind, either for mechanical or wood working.
Well, when my wife and daughter asked what I wanted this year I really didn't have a clue, as I have about everything I need within our budget.
So what did they get me? Another tool kit!
But this one is totally COOL.
It is black faux alligator covered and inside there are several eye shadows, 2 different mascaras and liner pencils, blushes, lip sticks and glosses, nail polish. Then they got me another tool kit with loofahs and bath gels and beads and powder, and even a small gold clutch handbag with a smaller matching make up bag to go in it.
My daughters boy friend was a stick in the mud, but I was grinning like a jack ass eating saw briars when I un-wrapped it all
I got a girly tool kit, gotta love that!

This past Christmas is the first in many years, that I didn't get anything fem from my wife. I did mention to her that I wanted to get two televisions, a 42" and a 19", she bought me both for Christmas. I really couldn't ask for more.
I did buy myself pearl earrings, a pearl necklace, and a long sleve black dress with her knowledge.

Count me in on the zip, zero, nada. I gave a lot this past year, and continue to give. I guess that is what it is about. Perhaps I should give Collette that wedding dress that she has been wanting :battingeyelashes:
