Busted, but learned something

I know that many of us travel frequency, so I thought I would pass this on. I came back from an international flight this morning. I didn't have any problems with customs, but they directed a few of us to an Agriculture inspection. I had to place my bags on a belt and they were fed into a machine. I was somewhat surprised to see the clear outline of my high heels on the screen. I have watched my bags go through the TSA machine many times and can usually just barely make out the shape of the heels.:o The Ag machine must use different technology than the TSA machine.

I also noticed that the machine operator made a small motion to another worker. I saw them both smirk, but neither looked at me or said anything. If they had said anything I would have just told them that my wife was coming back on another flight, and that it was none of there business. I think I am going to arrange my shoes differently from now on.

there is no law that says that the content of your bags has to be gender specific! the screeners dont know you from adam so whats there to worry about?
one time-crossing a border in the old europe a customs officer pulled a bra out of my bag and dangled it high up in the air for all to see asking me wether i would wear that-i looked straight at his face and said sometimes!he got red in the face like a ripe tomato and told me to get going!

breast forms show up like what shape they are in orange. :> you see so many bags with womens shoes it dont matter, all you see is one bag at a time on the screen, you have no idea if it is a husband carrying the wifes shoes cause she took too many lol, happens alot or a gift or the wifes bag or anything, we just check out whats in the bag and move on, no biggie

Next time wrap the heels with some wire, throw in a few batteries and really screw with them, haha

Kidding aside, I believe if you buy a lead lined photo film bag they won't show, unless that tech has improved also now.

dont use lead lined bags! lol ok the cheaper lead lined bags you can see right thru them no problem, the better ones block the xray so you cant see inside which means... you get to stand there while the officer opens your bag, takes everything out of the bag, then reruns the bag... no good if your trying to be discreet lol

Jaydee, I agree with what other here have said-- who cares what other people think? I'm sure they've seen far stranger things than a man traveling alone with a pair of heels in his luggage. The airport scene from Fight Club (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71-4z0kLrQw) comes to mind.

Tell me, weren't you just the tiniest bit thrilled to see your heels on that screen, and to know that they knew?

Been through a few times with forms. No problem girls! And i'm not sure what's going on in the US but in Canada we are working hard on scanners so you should be able to take a bottle of water on the plane..................... sometime soon! Marny

Like all the other Girls have said who cares what they think. I have talked to some girls who went through there dressed and they don't fully pass and they just looked a little closer . No big deal. I would love to fly and be dressed. SO don't worry you'll be fine.

What did you say to the man to get him to shut up? Just said sometimes nothing more. LOL love that. I think He thought he might get fried or something. LOL Or worse that you might just stand there and put it on for him .:haha::laughing::laughing: you go girls :canada:

i was caught too but by police for pulling me over for speeding and yes i was in a skirt and the whole 9 yards but my license wasnt the same picture as what i was then
