View Full Version : What woman would you like to be?

I wish I looked like Leslie Stahl. As I am 62, she (about 68, but looks 10 years younger) is a more realistic 'ideal' for someone my age. Naturally, it would have been great to look like Bo Derrick or Sophia Loren, but that is so incredibly beautiful as to be unachievable.
Leslie, as many of you know, is one of the reporters on 60 minutes. I appreciate her neat , trim appearance. She always dresses like a lady-nice size 34B bust I estimate, size 6-maybe 4- dress. Her hair needs work, but I don't care that much about hair- mine is dull brown and very fine texture and would be hard for any woman to deal with. Being a pantyhose devotee, I like that she still wears sheer hosiery, despite the nasty popularity of bare legs even in winter. Of course, she deports herself with class, and that is becoming. But it is her trim, neat appearance that makes her my 'model' of who I wish I were. How about you? Who do you wish you looked like? Helen

Rachel Griffiths. Someone else here said I resembled her so I'm going with the closest thing I can emulate. I didn't know who she was until I Googled her. I love her "natural" look.

Can I have two answers please? :)

First answer is: me -- fully realised as a tomboy

Second is -- if I could be a teenager again -- Jodie Foster as seen in the attached image

Second is -- if I can't be a teenager again -- then its the girl I mentioned in this thread - a Quebecois girl 'ye-ye' singer from the 60s named Caroline:

Hmm -- do I see a pattern here? Hmm -- is that three answers?

Helen, I am a fan of Leslie Stahl too. In fact I answered a thread about two or three weeks ago saying I would like to dress like her. I think she is the last of the classy ladies on tv, and yes, she does look much younger than she actually is.

I'd like to just be me, plain old Byllie. I'd like to be the person I am, a male with a feminine side who enjoys wearing feminine (NOT women's) clothing and makeup.

I'll probably get hated on for my first answer, but I think I'd really like to look like Britney Spears (with hair!).

My second choice would probably be Brandi M. from Rock of Love (and Charm School), but without the "Heartbreaker" tattoo across the chest.

Third, probably Jennifer Love Hewitt... and then after that, there are a few full-figured ladies that I know of that if you either don't know them or if you weren't from my area, then you wouldn't know of them.

I thought about this a little more! When I was a kid in the sixties, my dad had around the house nudie mags that had pics of Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield and Bridgette Bardot and other "blond bombshells."

Well I wanted to be them and I remember now that I used to do that famous pose by Marilyn with her elbows raised and bosom jutting out!

Also, I've always wanted to be one the always sexy girls on "The Price is Right." When I was younger I would practice walking and posing and pointing like them as I watched them on TV.

I am a woman in the wrong body, but I guess given the choice, Id start over again. One girl who even looks a little like me as a kid is Abigail Breslin. I think when I see her in a movie, I always am reminded of that. As far as grownups, I would definitely be Kyra Sedgewick- I love everything she's done, especially "The Closer"

Ok, showing my age here...( but then again..She was a bit before my time...I just happen to love her... :daydreaming: ) Maureen O'Hara in her prime...Either in "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne...Or "The Long Grey Line" with Tyrone Power...Those were made during the "Golden Age" of movies...and she ( I consider ) was the epitome of femininity during that time....Even well into her 80's now..she is still a ravishing beauty...

If it's just "look like," i'll take Sandra Bullock, because some of her features, particularly her strong chin, make a passable male presentation possible.

If it's being a woman we're talking about, I could do a lot worse than Pauley Perrette, Abby of NCIS.

Brooke Anderson from CNN's *Showbiz Tonight*, Katherine Kelly Lang from the daytime soap *Bold & The Beautiful*, Shania Twain, my avatar Ewa Mataya Laurance....just to name a few.

Very sexy ladies and very feminine.
