I love to fully dress with forms, wig, makeup and all the clothes but more and more i find that if i.m going to be dressed around the house for several hours or an evening with just my wife i feel way more comfortable with a simple top sometimes even a guy t shirt and skirt with pantyhose and heels or low slip ons.I don't need all the accessories to make me feel femme.I can relax better with out going all the way

Omg!!! Its all the classic signs.... And denim... You like 90% of women have fallen into..... "The comphy zone". And you can't get up.. Out... (Cue the twlight zone music).

What's become of the world when you can't lounge around the house in an evening dress?? Eating bonbons!!

There should be a law aginst comphy clothes!! I'm calling Michelle Obama!! Maybe they can sneak one through on the "everything bailout bill".

Karren, you're a riot!

I guess it doesn't take much for me, either, because just having my body (mostly) hairless makes me feel femme enough for most occasions (e.g. work). If I'm going to go any farther, though, I really don't feel complete without my forms and a nice, sexy bra. Oh, and then a pair of matching panties, of course. And since my legs are already shaved/epilated, I might as well put on some stockings. Some nice heels would look great with the stockings. And since I feel a little silly walking around like that, I might as well put on a skirt and blouse and... oh darn... now I'm not comfortable... But I feel pretty!!! :daydreaming:

To each, her own - whatever floats your boat - we are all different and at the same time, we are all the same - we have different levels of CDing that we enjoy, and yet we all come under the name of "transgendered/crossdressers"

Actually Peg Bundy is my heroine. Nothing quite like sitting around watching Soap Operas eating Bon-bons all day. Pure heaven methinks.:heehee:

Somedays it's just pantyhose, other days it's fully dressed.:2c:

for me it varies, sometimes the total bit and other times I might just wear hoops, a little lipstick, put my hair up and slip into a pair of ballet flats along with my drab clothes!! Sooooooooo comfy Karen:heehee:

Time is so tight, full dress is just hard to organize at will. Now, a pair of pantyhose and some heels ...that is just enough of a quick fix for me....

Usually a skirt (short one for sure) and a top is all I have to do for around the house but if there is time I feel best going all the way. OMG I hope my dates don't read that

I guess this all depends how separate our drab and drag lives are. For me, we are very separate and it's easier for my girlfriend (his wife) to interact with us knowing which one of us it is. Tina is a bit of a high-maintenance girl and even though it may not be a dress (sorry Karen), there just has to be heels, hose, forms, wig, and makeup....a little jewelry too. Yeah, it's a pain, and it takes the better part of an hour to make all the thousands of little decisions we make to dress, but that's part of the transition for me. After all, drab is drab...he can do that all that time so why should I???

I far prefer full dress because it is something special that I don';t get to do enough. At minimum full make up, forms, wig and a sexy top with ladies jeans.

There are probably as many different opinions as there are crossdressers. However, ultimately only one is important--YOURS! We all need to start recognizing that we only have ourselves to please but wise Karren is right it's hard to consider frumphy sweats and flannel nightshirts really crossdressing.

I agree, there is a comfort zone as well as how much trouble does one take to look fem, when it's "just us chickens.." When we go out we want to look as perfect as we can!!

Karen,

When I read this I thought of Peg Bundy as well, on a date with Al; at home watching the TV.

Good Heavens!!! Someone call the fashion police, quickly! lol So, you have reached the stage in your life called 'womanhood and reality' and are now acting just like them. Need one say you are 'comfortable' being fem around the house? I too will wear anything from a 2 piece pj set with panties and bra, to a full blown 'come and take advantage of me now!!!' outfit and attire, just depends on how I feel at the time, day or nite. Isn't life grande?

Skirt and top without hair and make up works wonders for me 90% of the time (due to time constraints mainly). About once a month I'll get a whole day where Tash can shine.:daydreaming:

Time to fully dress is difficult to come by. Most of the time I wear my favorite long denim skirt with a slip and pantyhose. I don't need to max out to feel feminine and be myself. Hope this makes sense to youal. K.
