Yesterday I went out in my boots with 3" heels and a pair of womens bootcut jeans. The boots have the broader heal and chunky look toe. Anyway as the day progressed I got braver and braver, because nobody seemed to notice. I got to the point where I wanted people to notice. I went into several fast food places with groups of teens girls at a table(I avoid teen boys, as I know they can be loud for attention). I would say maybe 70% of the gilrs didn't even notice. The ones that did would nudge that friends and point and they would smile or giggle and go back to their conversations. No big deal.

I think the next generation of women will be far more accepting than my generation. The girls form my highschool days would have laughed me out of town.

it seems our whole society is more accepting these days. it could be because they are more enlightened about sex. also we have been through the unisex era, and more mens clothes are done in colors that only women wore when we were younger. i intend to put my thoughts and life on this forum as soon as i have gotten it all straight in my head. i haven't experienced everything that could be done, but i have been through a lot

Lets hope that to be true and will be more accepting in time to come.:hugs:

I agree that there are more pressing issues these days than what a person is wearing. I think the trend is favoring CD'er's more overall but we still do have the under educated folks who haven't gotten the message yet! It is getting better tho.....:hugs:

And we'll always have a small percentage of them. Kinda comes with the territory.

Well I guess if you think nudging their friends and pointing and then smiling or giggling is "accepting" - then yeah. :D Coming up to you and saying "I like your boots, where did you get them?" would be more like my definition of "accepting" but yes, I do take your point about the next generation being perhaps more accepting of "variances in people and life" Let's hope so. :)

Lets hope that that continues. Teenage girls look at other females and CDers more intently because they are just like us - they want to see fashion and what looks good and what clothing goes together
