I am a cross dresser and have been for many years. I would love to buy a brand new wedding dress, but not sure how to go about this.

I have contemplated going into a wedding dress shop, but would they fit me out for one as I am still male. Would they look at me as a time waster.

Just put in a search for wedding dresses and this is what it came up with. I'm sure someone here might know a CD friendly store in the UK selling these or there is always e-bay.

Does any one out there know any Bridal Wedding dress shops that would fit/measure me a brand new wedding dress.

How do I pluck up the courage and walk into a bridal shop for a wedding dress?

Will you travel worldwide to get fitted? The reason I ask is you have not stated your location, nor do you have it in your profile... it would help to know where you are.

Could somebody tell me where they know of cross dresser friendly bridal shop to fit/measure me out for a wedding dress.

Advice on how to approach a bridal shop for a brand new wedding dress as a cross dresser and whether I would looked at as being a time waster or would they be sympathetic to my needs.

check eBay. There are over 3000 postings, many GORGEOUS dresses, mostly inexpensive. Make sure you know your size, and bid accordingly. If you always buy the next biggest size, it should always be possible to have it fitted. It is a lot easier to find a TG friendly seamstress than a TG friendly wedding shop.
If you are unsure of your size, check the charts on the mail order sites. If you have not bought many dresses, and are a bit shy about going to a store, calculate your size based on the charts, and go to a shop (used clothing would be best) and purchase a dress that has a similar style to the wedding dress you visualize. Try it on, buy it (or vice versa) and then you have a good reference point from which to order/buy dresses on the net. good luck, wenda.

Hi, as you have the corage to want to go in. You use this talk and you will get one. ok, this is what you say. Find a wedding shop near you, or one you want to go to first. Call then or go in. Explaine that you are with a theatre company, and that for your part of the show, you will be doing a wedding part. Exlain that the plot is completcated. Then, place you cash or credit card on the counter, say then that you need a wedding dress. When you money is on the table, you WILL get your dress. But, look like you mean it. I did this once. ok, twice. I went in, explain the above and said that i need to try them. Money on counter. I spent and hour in there, tryied on loads, said i would take a mag which had photos in ( i also took some snaps while in the dress) and would return after talking to the producer. Bang, got to wear the dresses etc, had a great time and even got wine. Lost the bloody photos but will get some more done. TRUST ME, it does work. Or, just go in there and sau your a cross dressers and want one, cash on counter, they don't catre, thet are getting money which every shop wants, he he. love sophieuk. Lets us know how you get on.
