View Full Version : Abuse of Personal Photographic Material

I was horrified to read the thread that people are taking our picture material, especially videos, without permission or copyright, and using and abusing them to post them to other websites. I am not sure I can handle that. As a result, I have deleted the photo I was using for an avatar, if anyone wonders why it is missing now.
What do others think about this?

Doesnt concern me in the least, who is gonna know its me?, if I was afraid of things like that, I would have never gone out as a lady in public and would still be hiding in the closet:2c:

How could it happen? According to the thread in question, it is in one case at least, an inside job.
As for Avatars, I think they are visible to everyone, aren't they?

I think it stinks. I also think it's been going on with photos and videos of all kinds and won't stop any time soon.
I'm not pulling my photos of videos because people might rip them off and use them without my permission. They're already doing it with some of my non-crossdressing items (not in a claiming ownership way). I imagine they might rip-off "Gabrielle" and digitally pimp her at some point. That's one of the reasons I put the name on all my cd photos. It won't prevent people from doing whatever, but it will make them work a little more for it.
I wouldn't hesitate to take legal action if my cd photos are used without my permission.

Currently, when I'm not logged in, I couldn't access the forum, nor view the profile..
IMO, if you passed as a girl in the real world. Why bother to remove it from here?
(Just like Jennifer said).
I just read about members posting their real picture in the thread. (I think that one should be considered to be removed, if you're being too paranoid about it.)

I've had people steal my photos and I've found them on other peoples web sites and imbeded in videos... Most were actually quite flattering!!! :) Any I figure that if I put something out in public then things like that can happen so I doesn't really bother me...

Could it be... They fall for you? Or simply believed that you're a girl? :O

My immediate family knows, my employer knows, and what few friends I have know.
So if someone sees the pics, no worries.

The moment you join any forum or post any picture, you heighten your risk of being exposed. I don't care how "secure" you may think the site is.
For me, if I should ever run across any of my photos somewhere else, I would take it as a compliment. There's nothing on here that I wasn't conscious of when I did it.

lol
Thank you, Candy - you're such a darling! :heehee:
When "Digitally Pimped" starts climbing the charts, I hope to hear a song called "Gabrielle" emerge as one of your hits. :)

Firstoff this is OLD NEWS so getting everyone all rilled up over something posted from 09-07-08. The sticky is in the PIC GALLERY
Second! ...it says were stolen from flicker and yahoo.
Third no one says you have to post pics if you are afraid to then don't In most cases the girl pics do not look like anything like your guy pics. But like I said if YOU are afraid to don't. It is a personal choice
Fourth If you post pics in the Pic Gallery or Out and about section no one can see them UNLESS they are a member.
I am closing this thread as I have said old news See the sticky in the Pic Gallery
