Here it is! I know many of you have you've been waiting to hear all about the shower...
I had the BEST time! And everything was perfect. Her parents rented a section of a small bar/restaurant out in Riverhead for the shower. My friend Erica and I were the only two T-girls in attendance, but as far as everyone there was concerned, they knew we were TG, but in their eyes, we were just two women & they acknowledged & treated us as such!
There was plenty of food & wine, in addition to the bar. Needless to say this was NOT at all a "stuffy" or "boring" occassion, and everyone had a great time. One of the highlights of the afternoon was when the bride-to-be threw a lemon into the pool.
After the event was over, a few of us retreated over to Erica's to get some air conditioning. We just chatted & watched movies for the rest of the evening. It was a great day.

The area reserved for the party was right in front of the pool - in the heat, we were all suddenly wishing that we had brought swimsuits!!

There are more to come! And there was this very sweet picture of myself and Alisha (I can't wait to see that one!!) Even though she's officially off the market, I have to say that I'm very happy to have her as a very dear friend. And she definitely sets the mold for everything I am looking for in a bride of my own... someday. ;)
It was a beautiful experience. And I sincerely feel that everyone desevres to experience a bridal shower and/or wedding at least once... I am very lucky. :o
