Question about medical insurance

I finished changing my name at work last month and just received my new medical cards in the mail. Upon reviewing the information on the card, it reads sex - F.

I am wondering if this has happened to any one else? I wonder if there is a way I can use this to get coverage, ex, hormones, any surgery.

Just wondering, as I would much rather get hormones from a doctor.

If not, at least it put a smile on my face.
