I dont care for the stereotype that CD/TG are also Gay or have a sexual fetish. With that being said I have included my yahoo ID on my page here as well as another support group so I could meet friends for friendship and support. However, the last couple of times I have other CD's ask what I am wearing and description of undergarments so they can have a visual. I do not ask my guy friend what type/color of undergarments they are wearing nor do I see respectable GG do the same. Yes I may see some teengers out and about wearing some revealing clothing but all I can do is shake my head and wonder what the heck are they thinking, most of the time they are way to young to wear thing like that.

But back to the point. to be asked if you are wearing clothing that can show off your undergarments or what your undergarments lookl like by pretty much a stranger is a little too personal for me.

Unfortunately, mixed in with all us serious and respectful people here, other sites and in chat rooms are the inevitable lurkers and wierdos trying to hook up with somebody, and I think sometimes, anybody. I just ignore them or tell them that you are not looking for their type, and they eventually get the message and leave you alone. I don't let it bother me, neither should you. It is inappropriate, but it just comes with the territory.

Ya, I'm avoiding the chatrooms right now.. I've met some great people, but I've also encountered that problem and I find it quite rude and uncomfortable to be around. I've especially been avoiding that chatroom advertised at the top, because it's being advertised as a sex chat on other websites *grumble grumble*

Unfortunately, a lot of people are only looking for a sexual experience when it comes to crossdressers. Many cders want are looking for some online sex chat just like many non-cders do. You've heard the song "The Internet is for Porn" haven't you? If not - look it up - hilarious! But the joke in the song is that many people do mainly use the internet for porn or sexual gratification. I'm sure many gg's are very familiar with what you experienced. Maybe it seems more odd to you being a guy and not having experienced that kind of treatment as a gg might on a more regular basis. That's my take on it, anyway.

You really shouldn't be afraid to chat with people online. You'll know what their true intent is soon enough and then you can tell them "g'bye" pretty easy and be on with your day. :) Ok, this is coming from someone who doesn't engage in online chat often, and never in girl-mode, but it sounds right to me.

You've sort of hi-lited why this site is so important to us SERIOUS and INTROSPECTIVE CDs!

No, SEROUSLY!

On EVERY other site I've posted on, I've been hit on! Quite often, on a couple. In over a year here, I've NEVER been hit on!:)

And, bye the bye, I DON'T visit any chatrooms!

having never been in a chat room, don't even know how to enter one, i believe that the questions you were asked are completely inappropiate. yes there are people out there that are just trying to get their "jollies", but do not pander to them and fortunately you can just cut them off(wouldn't yoy like to). don't let them discourage you there are just as many real people trying to talk to like minded individuals.

I visit tg chat rooms occasionally. I have met some very nice people over the years. On the other hand I have encountered some who are rude, and are only there to engage in cyber. For those individuals I simply ignore them, or just state I'm not interested. In most cases they get the hint and will leave you alone. So as long as I'm in charge its all good.

Yes it's so true i could go on and on and i'm trying to be nice so i won't use a word or categorize anyone. But i'm somene thats always in a good mood always looking at the positive side of things. But its hard to keep a positive outlook at times. I come online looking to chat and meet and make good friends, to help or support in anyway that i can. Try to use my positiveness in anyway that i might be able to help someone else. But its to the point where i don't trust anyone online =( until they earn my trust. I'll try to get back on topic. But yes whats worse then you meet someone start chating and 5 mins in you get a "what are you wearing" I don't know i'm sure some people sit around half naked on the pc but i know don't. So they near expect my answer when i'm like. i'm just chilling in yoga pants and a tank. Or Jeans and a tee shirt etc. It is depressing though with the stereo types of the transgendered. They think everyone is into cyber, is a freaking sex addict, and is sitting around in there underwear waiting to chat to them. =(
Also another one that really makes me mad i when someone uses the "S word" ugh =(

Sorry about my rant. Kaylia

There is a wide spectrum of Transgendered/Crossdresser types out there.

We all have differences. Everyone needs to be RESPECTFUL to one another.

While we are all different, in another sense we share a common bond of being Crossdressers. We are all SISTERS.

Play nice. Be RESPECTFUL of others' feelings. Treat every Sister as you would want to treated.

We are family - lets try to get along with one another.

Did you read Rylie's post? she was talking about chatting on her YAHOO messenger, not chat rooms. On messenger you have the option to block these meat heads.

Like you Rylie, my messenger is for support and being a line for help or advice.

Here we go again, not reading, Yes I meant messenger. I am sitting hear minding my own buisness (maybe hoping some will pop up) and I get someone trying to fantasize me, eww

Sometimes I hope that who ever pops up will be the support I need as well. Being here alone does not to well for the mind and I thought being able to chat one on one would help. I didnt know it would be an alternative to 1-900-cross-dress.

I only enter age fifty plus sites on AOL. I use a pink font which gets a lot of questions. I tell them I am a CD and a few get freaked out but the vast majority of them love it and have engaged in serious question / answer sessions with me trying to understand.

I am a fave of many regular members as I am not afraid to tell the truth about myself and have fun at the same time.

I also have found the majority of CDs chats are sex related. BORING!! IMHO

I remember the first something like this happened to me, years ago. Someone sent me an instant message asking "how big I was" and included their own statistics. Once I got over the shock, I started laughing and replied "I don't know how big it is, it never occurred to me that I should measure it."

Hey Rylie,
You said it was CD's who asked you about your underclothes. You didn't say much about the rest of the conversation, so I may be off in my comments.
I like nice lingerie, but it's not the most important part of dressing for me. I like the whole package and everything it takes to get there.
Other CD's take special enjoyment in certain parts of the CD experience, like maybe the stockings, or the shoes, or yes, the lingerie. Is it possible that their questions were completely innocent and they asked just because lingerie is their special enjoyment?

Maria, I would like to think it was innocent. But innocent would be to get a visual of outer clothing. But to ask specifics about under garments or if the skirt is short enought to reveal a undergarment makes me feel like we are inappropriate teenage girls or like I said before 1-900 crossdress. Questions of undergarments are too personal to be getting "a visual". outerwear is good enough.

Ahhh the joys of online curtesy... or lack there of.

When asked to do something stupid or show off something or I get asked sexual questions straight off the bat in a conversation or even something like that used in an opener as soon as the chat window opens at my end. I normally respond with ...

If I was in a bar would you ask that?

Normally that questions leads to string of expletives and them leaving me alone ... well I normally hit ignore too.
