I just wanted to share this. My friend sent it to me. She said it was inspiring. I think it opened her eyes a little bit more as to what I've lived with all my life. It brought up a lot of emotion.

Thanks very much for this, Jenny!
I've heard of this story but never ran across it before...
I've tagged it, so we can find it again when we need it!

Hi Jenny,
How are you?
I read it, and think it's simply amazing that we now have doctors that can diagnose GID at an very early age, and have parents such as Jazz's accept it.
I only wish I spoke up more as a child but feared I would be locked away in some mental institution and never see my family again, but fortunately for children today, doctors have a better understanding of what GID really is and treat it as it should be and not as a mental illness.
btw, Have you read the comments posted on that site?
There's quite a few of us that have shown their full support of Jazz & her parents, thank God for them! and then there's the total clueless idiots and/or bible thumping ones that of course view this with no compassion what so ever.. JERKS!!
They make me soooo mad..
Sorry, I must be pms ing..LoL
Hugs,
Karen
