I still can't believe I did it!

I'm sure this is nothing for most of you...

But today I finally got up the courage to get in my vehicle and drive. It was just a couple of blocks, and was only for about 5 minutes.. but hey.. I went out.. in public! It was scary!! I wanted go to more places! But... I went back home.

Oh I so remember my first drive dressed up. What an amazing rush -- so many different emotions all blending together. (Wish I could re-capture those feelings). Next time, drive to an ATM or gas station, get some cash or fill up your tank.

That was my first dozen or so outings. Gets the adrenaline going, doesn't it?

The courage you gain will spill over into other areas of your life, and you'll find yourself less ruled by fear, in whatever you do.

Hey Kat, good for you.

2009 has to be the year I get up the courage to do the same as you. I'll go stir crazy if I don't!

Hope this is the first of many ever bolder steps for you :)

Good for you, Kat! It's not "nothing" to me - I've only ever sat in my car, parked inside my garage. Maybe some day soon, I'll take my first 5-minute drive around the neighborhood. By then, I'm sure you'll be doing a lot more than just 5-minute quick drives. Keep moving forward, girl! :)

That is so funny! I did the same thing.. several times... just SAT there! Well, this time I did it, but it was LATE at night. 11 p.m. late. It was then that I became aware of the street lights in my neighborhood.. I thought.. dang.. I wish these weren't here!!

congrats hon. The first step is hard. Two years from now you'll be walking around the grocery store and forget that you are dressed. Not making it up Hon. Talking from experience.

You have to crawl before you walk. It's a great start. Little by little confidence grows.

Hey Kat, I started just like that. A quick drive around the neighboorhood. Soon I was driving through the country side and even in the city.
Keep up the courage, it will be worth it.
