How fast would word spread?

If you don't think that word would spread quickly about you if you were found out at work.. Think again..

I found out today.... No I didn't out myself.. Completely.......... yet ........ but today is Steeler fan day at work and I'm wearing a black double breasted suit, gold shirt... Steelers tie.. My Steelers toe socks, steeler ball cap and steeler logo earrings I convereted to clip ons.. So after I got to my office I went down to our secretary and showed her and then to the cafe and showed the girls working there, and lastly to the credit union to show them.. One of the CU girls had on simular socks except they weren't toe socks..

So back to my office to work and its been a steady stream of coworkers... Mainly women stopping by.. that had heard and wanted to see for them selves... Great comments like "only you would wear that" and lots of "the earrings are so cute", "I used to wear toe socks in High School" and "where did you get those"...

Its like black and gold halloween.. This is so much fun I only wish I had worn a skirt suit and open toed pumps so I wouldn't have to hick my slacks up and take off my shoes to show everyone the toe socks... Lol.

But I'm amazed how fast word of what I'm wearing has spread through the building!!!

Oh Yea, you be surprised how the "Gossip" can spread around, and QUICKLY too. You talk about how males talk and gossip, well thats nothin compared to the female gender. Many times it does not even have to be true, maybe the story is changed just a little and they can make you into the biggest liar, ****, cheater, etc.

Myself I try and keep myself out of the "DRAMA" at Big Boy.

Who's getting any work done? Lol. none of the 500 people in the whole building!! Some floors have smorgusboards set up.. Some departments have luncheons scheduled.. I'm going walking around at noon and forage for goodies!! And someone said Ben was in the neighborhood last week.. Ate at a local resturant. With his 3 large body guard friends!!

I'm a locomotive engineer for a major US railroad (we have yellow engines). If I dressed up for work, it would trigger a massive calling tree like never seen before. Word would have gotten to everyone, everywhere within nanoseconds! I've seen small things get spread around fast, so this major bombshell would explode like no other!

I worked in a large factory which had around 2000 people in lots of different buildings but inside one perimeter fence

We heard a couple had been caught having sex on works time
It took at less than 20 mins for the news to reach all the buildings :eek:

So depending on your job it may not take long

Its funny to see how fast gossip travels, and how much the story changes with times told. I think there's a mathematical formula somewhere for it. Sometimes at work, a couple of us get together and start a rumor about ourselves, and time it to see how long it takes to circulate...:devil: Speaking of not getting any work done....
