The answer to that is probably not, but in regard to many posts here about the fear of going out (it has been so long since my first time I don't remember how nervous I was) and being noticed or read, I spent the lunch hour, not drinking as one would expect, but looking at how people especially women dress while out at the local grocery store.
I have come to a conclusion, you want to blend in go to the store. There were so many different styles there that anyone would blend in. I saw one woman in a grape colored valour pantsuit that was too big on the bottom ( she kept pulling it up as she walked) and too small on top. Guys wearing baggy shapeless mid calf shorts that looked like they belonged to someone twice their size. Sweats, too tight spandex leggings, Holey tennis shoes, no make-up, too much make-up, pajamas!
Point is why worry about what you look like? I would bet that 99% of the girls here would look 100% better than some of the people at the store. Males or females. We at least CARE what others think.
See, next time you are grocery shopping, you'll look and see that even on your worst CD day you look better than most people. Go for it!

Exactly!!!
I am sure most of those "girls" have been to my salon in the past and asked why I am always so "dressed up".
Anyone that wears shoes that match, has smoothed down their hair, and brushed the crumbs off their face and walks upright should be able to ease into the stream of humanity around here. Heck, I even have problems telling the men from the women sometimes and I am pretty good at it!!
If you don't look like a victim, no one will notice you.

I've always say the same thing, dress age and location approprate. If you fit in you'll pass. If you wear a micro mini or a formal to the grocery store, you will be noticed.....BJ

ABSOLUTELY - I put that in a post earlier - 90% of the Sisters look better than real GGs because we sisters try to look good - GGs try to look comfy - I think most any of us would pass at the mall or the grocery store IF we did our homework and went there as you did and just watch the GGs

One of the great things about going to a grocery store en femme is that you could be coming/going to work, a party, the salon, whatever. Also, you can browse as slowly as you like as you are "looking but, not finding".
Nearly everyone is so busy looking for what they want that very little attention is paid to anyone person.

But 'dressing' as most of the GG's in a grocery store would be 'un-exciting', altho' "getting out" would certainly be a hoot!..:)
I'm gonna' have to re-think this.. maybe slacks and a blouse.. boots! And naturally the wig and makeup.. Hey, it may work! :heehee:

On a positive fashion note one sees fewer women wearing curlers in their hair when out and about.
I blend in perfectly at the supermarket, as I weigh a bit over 300 I have the perfect figure for spandex. I wear a T-shirt in the summer and a sweatshirt in the winter with a pair of flip flops. Combined with an ugly blonde wig I am a model of fashion and taste. The only thing lacking from my outfit is two or three unruly children.

Start a day care, then you can have the unruly children for part of the day AND get paid for it!

Lori you are so right and if you want to see dress at it's worst go back to college. Everything from bad pajamas to shorts and pants for someone with a waist size twice their own. And don't get me started on hair or shoes. The women that really stand out and they are few are those that dress as if they were going to work in executive positions. Compared to the general public we dress or over dress to look good. Huggs Keli

Grocery shopping is fun, I've only done small purchases such as makeup and some junk food, but it could be a fun adventure to actually do a full shopping trip one day.
