There are several reasons why your account wasn't approved.
If you feel you fit into none of the above reasons, please feel free to use the Forum Feedback and state why.
When you register, please take care when you type in your email address. Make sure you use a real one or your account will be deleted. If you have entered your email address incorrectly, please use the Forum Feedback and let us know A.S.A.P to correct it.
When you receive your activation codes, you will have 14 days from the date you registered to activate the account. You will receive an email in your inbox. You MUST follow the link in that email before you can post on these forums. Until you do that, you will be told that you do not have permission to post.
Please note, if you fail to activate your account, it will be deleted.
Use the Forum Feedback and request them to be sent again. Please include the username and email address you registered with.
Once you have activated your account, it then has to be verified by an Administrator. You will not be able to post until this has been done. New accounts are usually approved within 24-48 hours.
You do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: -
At best your post/thread will be edited by one of the moderators and you will be issued a PM notification. If the offense is more serious your post/thread will be deleted and you will be contacted by a member of staff. Posting "why was my post edited/deleted?" etc. will only make matters worse so please don't.
Should you have already been issued warnings and continue to break the rules, you will be issued a temporary ban - your posting privileges will be disabled for a minimum of 7 days to 1 month.
For persistent and or deliberate rule-breakers your account will be banned. That means you are no longer welcome on these forums and your account will no longer function. If you re-register, your new account will be banned immediately and any new threads/posts will automatically be removed, regardless of their nature.
The most likely reason is constantly breaking the forum rules. If you feel you have been banned unfairly, use the Forum Feedback. This will be reviewed by Tamara Croft.
Reasons For an Automatic and Permanent Ban From the Forum: -
The simple answer is, you don't. A new member that has between 1 and 9 posts has limited access. Once you have posted your 10th post, you automatically move on to the registered member list within an hour. You may then apply for the private/invite only sections.
Forgotten Username and/or Password
If you have forgotten your username and/or password, simply use the 'Forgotten Your Password'. This will send you a new password and your username will be contained in the email.
Email Address, Username and Password Recovery
If you have forgotten all of your account details and can't log in, or your email address it is no longer valid and you can't log in to change it, you will need to send the following information or as much as you can remember by using the Forum Feedback
Once this information has been sent to verify you are the account owner, your email address will be changed and a password reminder will be send to the new email address. Please do not include passwords.
Change Username
You cannot change your username once you have registered. This has to be done by a staff member. Simply post your request in the Help Forums.
Change Email Address
If you wish to change your email address click here. Please note, once you change your email address, you will have to activate the account and an administrator will have to verify the account.
Duplicate Accounts
If you have been directed here it is because you may have more than one account. Please provide the following information in a new thread using this link Private Help Section. DO NOT USE FORUM FEEDBACKYou can send a Private Message to any of the following Administrators and request your D.O.B to be changed. This will only be done if you have made a mistake when joining.
You will also need to state your reason for the change. If you do not have enough privileges, then use the Forum Feedback.
The forum has a session timeout. This feature is enabled for security reasons, i.e - using a PC at a library. If you forget to log out and you don't have the 'remember me' box ticked, the forum will log you out after 30 minutes.
If you are getting logged out after logging in, this is most likely a cookie issue, they tend to get corrupt on this board for some reason. Log out of the forum, delete the cookie/temp internet files from this forum, log out first, log back in and tick the remember me box and see if that fixes the issue.
Deleting Temporary Internet Files
If you are at home and wish to remain logged in until you are finished on the forum, then tick the 'remember me' box. This will keep you logged into the forum until you log back out.
Please note, that if you share your PC with your partner etc and you both have accounts on the forum, remember to 'log out'.
