Perhaps should've stayed in bed that day

So, having had a close call re lost property the delay made me late back to my holiday home. I'd decided to eat out so needed to shave, tidy my makeup, put on a change of clothes, replace a broken stick on nail and ring home.

So by the time I'd done all that it was pushing 20:30. Got to the eatery I'd opted for about 21:00. "Sorry we've stopped serving". There's another place about 5 minutes away, same thing. Tried 2 others, more of the same.

Well my nice meal out turned into scampi and chips in polystyrene tray from the chip shop. However, every cloud has a silver lining. One of the hotels I tried, as I walked in I was greeted by, " Evening madam, how can I help you". Always makes you feel better.
