Born this way?

I want to share something that is utterly fascinating to me. Recently I found out that my godfather is actually my biological father. He passed away in 2007. I didn't know him since he wanted more when I was young and my mom and stepdad made it impossible for him. I only really remember two conversations with him. One when I was about eight and the other when he came to the funeral home of my stepdad when I was twenty-eight. Two years ago his spirit visited my wife from Heaven. My wife is a vessel who can relay messages. I know how this sounds but it is all true. He said to her that I was his biological father. Long story very short but he is also a crossdresser. He had a fling with my mom who accepted him and she became pregnant with me. Apparently, when he wanted more than just being the godfather my parents blackmailed him and threatened to expose him regarding the crossdressing and whatever else he was into if he told me who he is to me. I know it doesn?t say a lot for them. He had a family with his wife and three daughters and it was the 1970s.
My fascination is that I have cross dressed since I was about 8 years of age. Is there some type of gene that is passed down? I am bisexual. My wife believes I am 70% female in the traditional stereotypical sense and 30% male. My half sister who I don?t know is his daughter and is a lesbian. She is the traditional stereotypical male in her relationship. Furthermore my other half sister who I also don?t know has a gay son who cross dresses. I know this from social media. The three girls don?t want to know me. I have tried reaching out to them but they have not confirmed or denied what I said to them and who I am to them. I have not told them I am a crossdresser and probably more gay than straight but this is incredible to me. Does anyone else feel it is passed down and are we really born this way?

I would sit and have a frank conversation with your mother, if you have not already, to confirm that your godfather is your actual biological father. She may not wish to discuss this with you or she may deny it, so be prepared to not really know. As for your question about a gene there is no scientific evidence of one or more gay genes.

My FIRST thought is this: have you confirmed any of this info (about your godfather) through any means other than through your wife's psychic visions?

I know that I'd be VERY skeptical if someone told ME I had a half-sibling, based only on a psychic's messages. It's easy to see why your (supposed) half sisters would be unwilling to respond. You're barging in, uninvited, and destroying their image of their dad.


All that aside, and assuming for the moment that it's true - I'd have to say "maybe" to the idea of at least a bit of inheritance.
I do, in fact, have half sisters. One of them has an FTM son. The rest of the family is "normal", as far as I know.
Coincidence? Inheritance? Upbringing? Who knows?

I even sent videos of all the paranormal activity from my biological and it is amazing to each one of them including my mom but nothing. Thanks for replying. I like your image on your profile. I have accepted who he is to me and I am not surprised this happened because my mom can do whatever she wants and all of her foot soldiers just get in line.

Hi SaraLin, I pieced together my past and the evidence just mounts up. There was always a cover up. One particular thing that is that I have AS ankoylosing spondlitius and no one on my side has any indication of severe arthritis where you need anti inflammatories. I have sent videos to everyone of the paranormal activity we receive from my biological in Heaven and it is daily. We have sensors going off, curtains moving, lights flickering, orbs, you name it and it has occurred. General impression is true like you say I destroy the image but these same half siblings searched me out thirty years ago but they went to my brother instead of me and he sold me out now they look horrible that they know exactly who I am to them but they too covered it up because it hurt their mom. Out of sight out of mind. Illegitimate kid where both sides don't want to know. I m pass that stuff now but what a coinicidence that I am doing these things similar to him without any enviromental influence. Thank you for replying!

I'm not sure about the genetics part, but if it is true, I may be a perfect example. I have a very small family tree on my father's side, but among the bloodline, there are a high percentage of gender variants. My first cousin is Lesbian, or maybe asexual (I assume from my observations, although I have not been told so). I have a first cousin once removed who is an out Lesbian. I went to her wedding to another woman. One of my dad's first cousins was gay, who acted effeminately when I knew him but was not out. Plus me. It's just too many gender variants to be just by chance.

For a long time I have believed that this is genetic.
Long story, but basically, there are 4 males from 3 fathers in my family. 3 are gay and I, well you know what I am. So, how does that work? All different ages, friends, experiences and yet a result very similar. I can't believe it's learned as I know of no one else through my upbringing that is CD.

I think it's important to remember that gender runs on a scale from macho male to very fem female. And, that most of us r somewhere in the middle.

Same is likely true for sexuality!:o

Do I believe it is genetic? YES, YES, YES.

All my life I?ve researched for the why?s of what we do. Lots of theories but nothing definitive. Long ago out of deductive reasoning, I believe it?s genetics. Really! What else could it be? The whole world of genetics is fascinating and hard to figure out. We are the result of multiple generations. Could it be multiple generations ago, a gene got haywire? My wife?s eyes are a light blue, mine are green. Both our children have brown eyes. what? Go figure. My Dad thought his grandfather had brown eyes. My point.

Liana, have you thought of doing a DNA test through one of the commercial companies? I have a friend who found his paternal half siblings through such a service.

I firmly believe that there is no crossdressing gene. Nor is there any gay gene.
Genetic theory to explain psychological behaviour is just convenient. Like Freudian theory just blaming everything on Momma.

There are 2 sides to that some things are learned traits, and some things are instinctive. So there are some actions and likes and ideas that are automatic within us. However it's controlled, whether it's a gene or something else in our brain, its there from birth. The fact that we want to mate with the opposite of our species, is necessary for the preservation, the continuation of our species. The urge to do that, the enjoyment of doing that is designed on purpose.
I can't help but think could that programming go wrong? We do know how trans happens the way the hormones affect the developing fetus.When something doesn't happen right we get different results. Nobody knows for sure, but I think there's enough evidence that anything's possible. No guarantee It's passed down. Theres nothing officially to debunk it either, at least that I know.

My thoughts are that no your aren't born this way, In my case it was a learned experience.
I started learning at around 13 years old, continued for many years. Then went stagnant for a
while when I was married. Now I am learning again for the last 20 years. Learning that the more I dress
the more I like it.

One additional caution. Humans (and probably lots of other critters) are programmed to see patterns in the world around them. It?s a helpful trait that enables us to see the silhouette of a predator behind a bush and to remember the time of year when fruits ripen. But it also lends to seeing patterns that are nothing but products of our imagination, such as faces in clouds and mythic beings in constellations.

We also seek explanations based on observation. Sometimes the observations are accurate representations of some reality. But as often as not, we try explain phenomena based on spurious associations. Like my great grandfather?s cousin may have been seen wearing a dress, and I wear a dress, so there for its inherited. Obviously, there are problems with this type of association, starting with the unreliable nature of the supposed observation, the absence of context and ultimately the very small amount of data. Even if true in that one case, a sample of one is only representative of that one instance. It can not be extrapolated beyond that case.

And yet we so often do. I recall a person insisting that smoking was not harmful because his grandmother smoked and lived to be 90.
