It's a lot of work

Last night my wife was alittle worried because I didn't wear anything fem all week besides my panties and that's only because I don't have any male ones. I stopped my Friday drives because my wife was scared being home alone and during a conversation in the summer she thought the Friday drive was a weekness in my situation. Her theory was even if I get caught at home what I do in my own home is my business but what I do in public is everyone's business. Last night I guess she wanted to take me out of a drought and asked me if I wanted to go for a drive and it may do me some good to get out and dress. As much as I miss the drive more then I will ever admit it just felt like so much work. I told my wife I haven't shaved my body in a few weeks and it takes a lot of work to present as a women. Just the thought of shaving my body and doing makeup and having to look my best to go out in public you could say took the wind out of my sails. I felt better after a good nights sleep and shaved my body and I'm back fully dressed today. The only good thing was that my wife mentioned at times it's good to have a crossdresser husband who knows what a women goes through to look presentable. I would say a women does do a lot to keep herself presentable. For me usally it so worth it but last night I was just to tired.

Maria, I agree, it is a lot of work. I'm glad you got dressed all the same.

It is a lot of work, and sometimes I don't feel up to it either. With my situation, sometimes I only get small 1 to 2 hour windows in which I can crossdress (other than when I sleep; I sleep crossdressed all the time now). It seems so pointless to go through all the effort only to take it all off again after a short time. My wife tells me I should do it anyway. Sometimes I do, if it's 2 or more hours. 1 hour, it's too short of a time.

I understand. Yes, there are times I?m tired and dress to a minimum, however, I so enjoy dressing. While it takes time, I look at it as fun and enjoyment, not work. I had to chuckle as my wife?s made the same comment about knowing what they go through.

Sometimes the work is what rekindles the fire. Don't discount the work nor the effect on mood.

I'm so glad I get waxed and don't do makeup. In 5 minutes I can be completely dressed. :)

Crossdressing is definitely a labor of love and not for lazy ladies. Your wifes statement that ITS GOOD TO HAVE A CROSSDRESSER HUSBAND WHO KNOWS WHAT A WOMAN GOES THROUGH is my all time favorite response from a wife!

I agree it is a lot of work - I rarely do more than curl my hair plus wear lipstick and brow pencil. This makes easier for me to put on dress when I get home from work and that is often enough. You have a great wife Maria - you are both attuned to each other's needs.

Well, it's NOT a lot of work for CD's. Compared to natal women and trans it's not.:)

I spoke with a T friend at a club event last nite who's fully transitioned. She gets up every morning early to put on her make up, skin care products, and keep her long hair looking beautiful.:battingeyelashes:

She has to do this EVERY DAY! CD's only do that when we feel like it. In my case that's a few times every month on average.:tongueout

Amen, to the time crunches of being a man who wants to emulate a woman. It's not only the time of go all the way, makeup, shaving, hair; It's also the time to undo the presentation. You're fortunate to have an accepting and participating wife. I did the routine and found it was too time consuming, especially if I was at home. Getting the clothes out is no big deal. With mental planning it's takes five minutes to don a pretty dress, bra, panty, sleep, hosiery and heels,and, toss on a wig. Makeup? I am content with lip color that gives off a little scent that tickles my nose and leaves lip marks on my coffee cup.
